My husband and I went in with an idea that we had solidified and have had planned for a year now. Austin was very pushy and neither of us are happy with our work. I personally did not want shading on mine, and after asking to not have shading over TEN times, he pushed shading and I finally just gave in. I really don't like it. My husband told him as long as it was covered by his tshirt for work that it would be good, it doesn't cover and he did not want shading either.  He was really pushy even though we knew exactly what we wanted. He made us feel dumb because we didn't want shading or other embellishments he had added. Really sad and disappointed that we didn't just wait to get our work done by Troy, who has done amazing work. My experience with LHCT was top notch. I chose Jeff Pons because I liked his style and use of color, although I think I'd love anything I got on my body from any of the artists. I emailed Jeff initially and he asked that I stop by the shop for a quick consultation any day he was working. I went down on the following Saturday. I walked in and he was right in the middle of tattooing, but immediately stopped to chat. He asked about what I wanted, where I wanted it, etc. He was even able to give me a rough estimate of what it would cost based on where I wanted the tattoo. I paid a deposit of $60 and booked my appointment with him within the week.The day of my appointment, I showed up and Jeff was just wrapping up the design of my tattoo. He came over and showed me what he had come up with and asked me my thoughts. Overall it was really close to what I had imagined it would like. I asked him to make a slight revision, which he was cool with and about ten minutes later, my tattoo was exactly what I wanted. We discussed the placement and colors and he then started prepping his station.Jeff's station seemed sanitary and well organized. He even wore gloves and a smock. As he tattooed my forearm, he told me he was done with the black/shading and was moving onto the color. He was really focused on my tattoo and not easily distracted. I let him keep his focus by mostly avoiding small talk, but he was happy to answer the few questions I had. I really appreciated his attention to detail. He periodically wiped my arm down and went back over any areas he thought needed more ink. Jeff had a light touch when adjusting my arm and when stretching my skin. His lines are super clean and his work is impeccable. The price of my tattoo ended up being a little more than what I was expecting, but seeing the end result made it worth the cost.Overall, LHCT is great place to get inked. All the artists seem friendly and get along with each other, which makes for a very comfortable environment. I will be back to see Jeff again in the near future. Lastly, I just want to give a friendly reminder to tip your artist at least 20 percent; they work hard on the design of your tattoo(s) and that's time they spend essentially unpaid outside of your appointment.
