I did a walk in to get my tattoo fixed up, it was my first tattoo and sadly it was not done how I wanted it by a previous artist. I was pointed to Ironclad after Anchor didn't have any slots for walkins and was directed to Krystal. To start, the location and facility are top notch and very welcoming. The atmosphere was incredibly comfortable and all the artists and clientele were also very approachable.For my first tattoo, Krystal worked with me to solidify my design and I'm glad I listened. She was incredibly kind and very detail oriented, as well as fair on pricing. She also squeezed in my girlfriend before her next app and helped designed her tattoo as well! Overall I had a great experience and would highly recommend Krystal for any work, and based off the conversations with other artists and seeing their work I bet you can't really go wrong with anyone here. Charles Bogus gave my sister and I sister tattoos and he was a gem! I am a big whiner and sissy when I get tattooed and whines, cursed and swore for an hour straight while he tattooed me. My daughter and I had our tattoos done by Jim. He is a great artist as well as personality. We felt comfortable and had a great time. The front counter gal (oops forgot her name, sorry) was very sweet and very friendly. She even got my daughter some lunch. I would recommend Ironclad to everyone reading this, as well as Jim. Charles Bogus did my tattoo and I couldn't be happier. First of all the tattoo looks amazing! I gave him an idea of what I wanted and he drew up a design that I am totally in love with. He was efficient with time at my tattoo appointment, was great at communicating before hand, and was thoughtful throughout the tattooing process itself. Also, I had to drive from out of town and he was super flexible with my schedule. Seriously the best tattooing experience I have ever had - I am happy to be looking forward to my next one already! Long overdue in this review but I had to create an account months after my visit just to brag on these guys for a minute! I gave Cory Harris (@poisonedwizard) a general idea of what I wanted for a tattoo and let him take total creative control from there. As a result I got an incredible sugar skull piece that absolutely exceeded my expectations and gets compliments on the reg. It has healed well and I'm stoked to see it every day.The entire staff was exceptionally kind-hearted, the shop was very clean, and I've never felt more relaxed and welcomed in a tattoo studio. Charles Bogus is freaking amazing! I don't know who this Ryan D. Is but he is completely false and probably just whining because he has nothing better to do. Charles is outstanding. Don't see Charles Bogus, he does pretty good work. But he will change prices on you, and steal any extra money he can along the way. HE WON'T FINISH WORK without more and more money, definitely scammy. BE WARNED they might do it to you too, and you will end up with a half finished tattoo. Won't be back after change in ownership! Paid a lot for a tattoo that faded with in a week. Called about it and was told I would have to pay the full price for them to touch it up. Bull shit because almost no tattoo shops charge for a touch up! Don't go here especially with a million other shops that takes better care of their clients. Read Less

Let me tell you what a big sigh of relief I let out when I saw the tattoo I got today.I suffered a really hard miscarriage in late August of 2013, and I knew that I had to get some sort of memorial tattoo that I would have with me forever. I thought about the design nonstop while I was recovering, when I noticed that my lower body had started to resemble a Kewpie doll.I knew instantly that I wanted a Kewpie doll, and I just needed someone to do it. I am an INCREDIBLY impatient person, so I was willing to take the first appointment available.I called into Ironclad on a Saturday, and the receptionist was super nice and recommended Nate D. for my tattoo. I set my appointment for that Tuesday, then asked where I could see his portfolio. He didn't have one ready, as he had just moved here from California. This REALLY worried me due to the importance of this tattoo, but I decided to put my faith in Nate. Let me tell you, that was 100% the right decision to make. Nate was super professional and made sure that everything was perfectly placed and drawn before he would even tattoo me. He listened to everything that I wanted, and did not try to force his ideas on me like other tattoo artists have. I confirmed I wanted what he had drawn up, and we got started.I won't lie, getting a tattoo on the back of your leg hurts like a mofo, but what else do you expect from a tattoo? Nate was super nice and checked on me regularly. If I needed any breaks, he was more than willing to give me moments of peace. It was a really pleasant experience for me. On top of his kindness and professionalism, he was super personable and funny. If you end up going to Nate D. ask him to do his southern belle accent for you. You won't regret it. He had to stop tattooing me, that is how hard I was laughing.I was expecting to be in the chair for at least 90 minutes (was not excited for that), but Nate had me out in 45. I don't know how much longer I could have laid there, so that was appreciated. Now onto the finished result. I am MORE than happy with Nate D's work. My tattoo is absolutely adorable, and I cannot think of a better way to remember the child I never got to meet. The shop itself is super cool, and seemed really clean. All of the other artists that checked out my fresh tattoo were super nice as well, so I'm sure they'd provide a good experience as well.I was Nate's second tattoo after moving to Utah, and I hope he gets many more clients. Clark is a womanizer awful tattoo artist, such a jerk, I paid a lot of $ to get my tattoos done and shopped around first and decided to go w Ironclad bc Eric is amazing and does a few of my friends ink.. Clark was the only one available when I walked in, now I know why.. He demanded tips which I was going to give him anyway but made me feel super uncomfortable, kept jacking up the price every time I went in, saying a lower price a cpl weeks prior then when I came in to get my work finished it was all of a sudden $50-$100 more.. I couldn't believe it! The last time I went in there was for my free touch up promised, Clark told me to come in when they were healed in 2-4 weeks.. After 3 weeks I set my appt and went in and he said he never would've told me that my touch up would've been free when that's what all tattoo shops and artists do.. The color wasn't the color I wanted and completely uneven w the other matching tattoo on my chest.. He told me it would be another $30 to get the touch up and I said I didn't have that, only his tip (another tip), he turned around flipped his hand off as if he was shewing me away and I said thank u so much Clark for being so cool bc every time I was there he was SO rude and u don't want a negative and mean person when u have chosen that person to put a tattoo on u for the rest of ur life, he screamed at me which was so unprofessional and said w his back turned to me 'you too'.. And flipped me off.. I was speechless and immediately started crying and walked out.. We called Eric, the owner to see what he could do to remedy the situation bc we just paid a lot of $ to get these tattoos and they are not finished and he never returned our calls either.. I think ironclad is a great shop and has some amazing artists but Clark does NOT deserve to be there bc he is ruining their rep.. I am trying to tell everyone about my experience so no one has to go through the same issues that I did.. Still I sit here tattoos unfinished and now I have to go find another shop that will be honest w pricing, professional, not greedy and stand behind their word.. I wish I would've gone elsewhere.. Still I can't believe the treatment I received from Clark.. He's bringing ironclad down and it is sad.. If u are looking for a good artist I've heard great things about good times and yellow rose, wish my tats were finished, that was my bday present, Clark should def pick a different profession if working w ppl is not his strong point.. Which from each appt I had, I know he's terrible w people especially women.. Tattoos are permanent so I was really hoping that when I chose him he would be amazing and stand behind his word.. Bc at the end of the day that's all u really have is ur rep and ur word.. Does anyone have any suggestions for a place that will help me to get my tats finished now?
