I was in Salt Lake City on the last day of what had been an awesome vacation and my partner and I decided we wanted tattoos. We happened to drive by gypsie soul as we were discussing this and decided to stop in and it was seriously to most serendipitous stop because these guys were AWESOME!Atticus was really receptive to the idea I had and knocked out the design in 30 minutes or so and got right to tattooing. My boyfriend got a skull by one of the artists (can't recall his name as I write this, will come back and update this) and both of our tattoos were finished within 2 hours of walking in.I was just so impressed with how quickly and thoughtfully these artists interpreted our ideas into art worthy of spending a lifetime on someone's body. Overall: clean and relaxed tattoo parlor with talented and friendly staff. We love our tattoos!

We had a poor experience downtown at SLC Ink Tattoo. I called and they were able to take us in within 5 minutes and came up with a beautiful tattoo for our daughters 18 birthday. He allowed all of us to come back and support her and Matt was really friendly and humble. So glad we decided to leave our appointment at SLC Ink Tattoo and went to gypsy. We will forever go to Matt for all of our tattoo needs! Friendly personality and amazing artist!

Okay, can I please give 10 stars? I just barely got my first tattoo done by Nicholas Treadwell & he was AMAZING. I was extremely nervous, I mean like, hyperventilating, lightheaded, antsy, I was an absolute pain. But he was never bothered, he was only so so helpful & understanding. He made my first tattoo experience AMAZING. I will definitely be coming back! He also did my 2 friends all in the same night- walk ins. Didn't treat us badly even though he had more clients waiting. Everyone there was so friendly & kind. Matthew Crawley did my husbands, same thing. Was very kind, talked to him, was genuinely interested in our tattoos. Very kind & great prices. Go here for a great tattoo experience, you won't regret it!!

I showed up at GST on a whim with the hopes of getting a couple small pieces and the staff was very helpful/ accommodating. Matt (Crawley) stayed late to fit me in and was really cool about it.I got two sweet tattoos and left feeling good. There was no weird, arrogant, tattoo shop vibe that you get in some places (unfortunately I've experienced this firsthand at a different shop). Matt was not only a great artist, but he was as genuine as they come. His warm and authentic presence made for a stellar experience. This guy is definitely where he's supposed to be.I'll be getting any/ all my future work done from Matt... & don't worry, I'll make an appointment next time. :)

I had an awesome experience. Everyone there was very professional and kind enough to answer all my questions. And designed my piece to fit me and how I wanted it! It turned out amazing! Better than I had expected. The atmosphere was relaxed and unhurried considering it was late at night and to fit 3 of my girlfriends in at the same time and with one of them coming directly from the airport!
Top shelf customer service at it's finest!!

The artwork looks amazing. That's why I tried to go. The customer service is subpar, however. I do appreciate one of them trying to fit me in to their schedule and that effort I recognize. All it takes is one though. When I arrived I was looked up and down and the artist simply sat with his feet propped up. He proceeded to rebuke the design I wanted and scoffed it down as simple bumper sticker material. When I get a tat, I'm not asking for permission. I'm not asking the artist if it flows with my body or not. I'm asking for a service. Either you can do it or you cannot. I had $400 in my pocket. It's going to someone else now who is competent and knows how to treat customers.

I was in Salt Lake City on the last day of what had been an awesome vacation and my partner and I decided we wanted tattoos. Matt (Crawley) stayed late to fit me in and was really cool about it.I got two sweet tattoos and left feeling good.
