I went in 2 weeks ago to book an appointment with Ben Martinez after seeing his awesome line work. The artist who booked my appointment was very professional and it was a quick and easy process. Came back for my appointment and Ben checked in with me several times to make sure the draft of it was what I wanted. The tattoo came out better than I could have imagined and the lines are so crisp. He was very nice and professional and the staff was entertaining. Never felt uncomfortable one second. I look forward to getting more work done by the amazing artists here!

Michael Hyatt was fantastic! He did my first tattoo and did an amazing job. I came in as a walk-in with a general idea of what I wanted and he quickly sketched up something perfect. His line work was really good, he was super nice to talk to while I was getting it done, and he explained the aftercare process well. Overall, I couldn't have been happier with the experience and I would recommend him and the shop to anyone.

I am bummed to even be writing this review, as I was so excited to get work done here. I have heard great things about a few of the artists here and don't like to write reviews that reflect an entire business.Unfortunately my artist didn't show up to the appointment I paid a $100 deposit for and booked one month ago. I walked in, and saw someone (another artist) I smiled and I said "I have an appointment at 11 with Ben Martinez." He said "Okay, haven't seen him yet." So I sat and waited. 25 minutes passed, with about 5 different people working and not one of them said a word to me. I thought maybe I wrote my appointment time down wrong, so went and asked the same guy to check and confirm my appointment time. He confirmed "11am with Ben" and said "let me text him and see whats up." He comes back about 10 minutes later (11:35) and says "He thought your appointment was at 12:00, he's on his way." So I waited, until 12:00. I sat there for an hour with only those two interactions. Ben never showed. So I left at 12:00pm, after taking the day off work, paying them $100, and wasting my time sitting there. I walked out and never heard from the shop, or Ben. Today I went in, collected my deposit and still have yet to hear from the artist. Aside from being extremely disappointed, I am more impressed that a shop with such poor customer service is doing so well. Had this been a person seeking their first tattoo, that would have ruined their entire experience. I run a small business with private clientele, and am pretty understanding to circumstances that may interfere with appointments, but I sure as hell would call and at the very least apologize or try to reschedule after wasting someones time.

The sign says walk-ins welcome. Didn't feel welcome at all. Myself and two others (we are all person of color) walked in and no one said a word to us. I know one person was already tattooing someone. One person looked me right in the face and didn't say anything. I figured, maybe they just need a minute. So we sat down and looked through their books, maybe five minutes, still nothing. Do they not like black people? That's how it felt. I only went there because someone recommended them. Disappointed to say the least.

Got my first tattoo done here last week. Had a fantastic experience. All the staff and artists were super friendly and my artist Been Martinez did an outstanding job. Even though it was my first tattoo he made me feel comfortable. He was to work fast and was able to keep up with good conversation. Will definitely keep Good Times Tattoo on my radar if I ever decide I need another.

Amazing shop with great vibes and even greater artists! Have gone to this shop multiple times and it is always top notch artistry. Like them on FaceBook and follow the artists on Instagram as they post fun specials throughout the year. Took a detour away from my normal artist today (Alex Mecham) and took advantage of a special that Benjamin Martinez was running. Both are brilliant artists with massive amounts of talent. Go see either of them for your next tattoo! They will not disappoint!

Alex Guy is the guy! (See what I did there?) I'm incredibly grateful I went to Alex for my first tattoo because he is fantastic. He calmed all my nerves the first time I came in and gave me exactly what I wanted but took my ideas above and beyond. The moment he started my first tattoo I decided to get a sleeve and I couldn't have picked a better person to work on a sleeve with. He is so creative and always comes up with the coolest shit I could never even think of. He listens to what I want and makes sure I'm happy with everything before pursuing. The studio is insanely clean and the whole staff is friendly. They were cleaning when I got in and the place was already spotless. They always make sure I'm comfortable and today one of the artists ran to the gas station and asked if I wanted anything. How sweet? All the artists are incredibly talented as well. They have an up for grabs wall with beautiful pieces to get. I believe their going rate is $100 an hour. I highly recommend Good Times if you're looking for a place to get tattooed. Note: They are cash only but have an ATM on site. I'm sure it charges a fee, I came prepared.

If I could give more than five stars to this place, I would. A friend and I were visiting SLC for the weekend and decided to check out Good Times after reading other great Yelp reviews. We were both tattooed by Al, and we couldn't be happier with our pieces and our experiences working with him. Even after a small scheduling snafu, he accommodated both of us with ease and took his time to make sure we were happy with our pieces. My friend and I were initially unsure if he understood what we each wanted after explaining, but he hit the nail on the head with the very first drawings he put together. Al is super friendly, patient, and a truly talented guy. I couldn't have asked for a better experience getting my first tattoo, even if I cried like a baby through the whole thing!

100% Satisfied customer. Amazing place employed by true professionals. I picked them for their positive web reviews and am grateful I did. Alex Guy not only worked with my unique schedule but also my unique requests. He reworked an old piece I had been miserable with for years and was able to turn a messy, scarred piece into something that I am so happy to have on my body. Truly a life changing gift.

They made the consultation process easy due to us being from out of town. Everyone in the shop is extremely friendly and professional. I wouldn't change anything about the experience and if we are ever back in town we will definitely be back!!

I went to Good Times for my first tattoo. It was a Friday and I was a walk-in. I was greeted immediately by a nice and professional dude who helped me find an available artist to go over my design. I was lucky enough to work with TJ, who took my design and made suggestions to make it fit and look good on my forearm. He immediately went to work and an hour and a half later I had my very first tattoo done!
The shop was very clean, the staff was very friendly, and overall I had a great experience! I was well taken of and given plenty of info on after-tattoo care. TJ was fun to work with! We chatted and laughed the whole time and I felt totally relaxed.
I am so glad I chose Good Times!

I just went here for the first time to get some wrist tattoos touched up. I went to SLC Ink to get a chest piece done that was going to take around 4 sessions I scheduled 2 months in advanced. When I showed up my artist was late and we didn't get started till an hour and a half after my appointment. Line work was amazing and I am super happy with the way it turned out after the first session. I had a family emergency come up making it so I couldn't go to met next session so I gave them a call (1 week before my next appointment) and said I wasn't going to be able to make it. I was told that they weren't able to find my appointment and they said they would figure it out and call me back. That was 4 months ago. When I called again to just get my deposit back ($100) they said they wouldn't be able to refund it because I never finished my sessions. Overall, the tattoo is amazing. The experience however was terrible

I mean, the rest of the reviews say amazing things but I'll add on to explain just how awesome Good Times Tattoo is. My girlfriend surprised me with a concert and a tattoo in SLC. She had been asking me what I wanted and secretly sent TJ the references. At first I was a little hesitant. My first and only tattoo had been something I had painted and asked the tattoo artist to just simply tattoo it on me. This time, I showed up without knowing what exactly I was getting. Walking into the shop, like everyone else I noticed it was extremely clean. Everyone was incredibly friendly. There was hip hop playing. It was such a yes. TJ came out and was extremely friendly. He showed me his idea and I fell in love. We started right away and he assured me if I needed breaks that was fine. The tattoo I was getting was much bigger than my first and the whole time I was comfortable and okay. Me, my girlfriend, and TJ shared a bunch of laughs, all being from the east coast. When it was over, being from San Francisco, I was really surprised at the low cost of the tattoo. For me, the tattoo and it's quality and the whole experience, were worth well over what I was asked to pay. My girlfriend loved my tattoo so much that she made an appointment with TJ that afternoon. She came in saying she liked geometric things and negative space. We trusted TJ and her tattoo came out fucking awesome. It honestly made me wish we were staying in SLC longer so I could get more. TJ is an amazing tattoo artist who does awesome line work and girlfriend and I will definitely make the 10 hour trip again if we want some quality tattoos. Amazing! From scheduling, consultation, to first appointment, Cam and Siri made my experiance amazing! Very thorough, explained every detail, and made sure I was happy. This was my first of 3 visits for a tattoo correction and I am very impressed. Studio is very clean, organized and well put together. Siri took great pride and detail in keeping everything sanitary! She has an amazing personality and takes great pride in her work! Can't wait for my next session! I highly recommend this studio!

I was in Utah for a training class and had been wanting a particular finger tatto for awhile so I looked at a few shops and found good times. First I called and asked them if they could do a finger tattoo. The first question they asked was if I had other tattoos which I told them I have a lot of them. They told me in that case they would do it. I always find that not willing to tattoo the "job stopper" tattoos on people who don't already have a ton or who don't understand the commitment is a sign of a responsible tattoo shop. I payed them a visit and was able to do a walk-in. TJ did my tattoo and it came out great. It is on my ring finger and my wife just loves it. TJ did a great job and it is exactly what I wanted. Thanks for the great tattoo while I was in Utah. I would recommend this shop it was clean and professional.

Being a business owner myself I can say one of the most struggling parts can be when staff is at ends. Great vibe here and great environment + crowd. Exedes any standard of cleanliness and everyone was very professional, yet fun. Felt like a long time friend of those I conversed with at the shop. Couldn't me more satisfied with the art, or the studio. Highly suggest for anyone looking for a good experience and quality tattoo. Pricing is modest for the quality Good Times had curated, thank you.

I would definitely recommend Good Times to anyone looking to get tattooed. The shop is clean and a nice atmosphere. Everyone is super friendly and focused on making clients feel comfortable during their time at the shop. I was tattooed by Kyle Olson who is an amazing artist and gentleman! With just one email describing what I wanted he brought my idea to life and exceeded my already high expectations. He took care in perfecting the placement and size of my tattoo with attention to how it would best complement my body and existing tattoo in the same area. I sat for 4 hours and Kyle was pleasant and charming the entire sitting. He even provided us with dinner recommendations in the area after we were done. I also got to see him with other clients and he was just as attentive and provided honest feedback about what could work for a tattoo. Long story short, Kyle is a professional and fun person to get tattooed by in a great shop. Also check out their instagram @goodtimes_tattoo for a better representation of the work they do.

Even though my idea was pretty basic, he added a little extra flair to make it more unique.Cleanliness: The most impressive part was my first look upon walking in - somebody was thoroughly cleaning the tables and entire area where the artists work. They seem to take cleanliness very seriously, which is exactly what I was looking for. My artist cleaned the area of my tattoo before, during, and after working on it, which is pretty standard. He gave me a set of instructions on aftercare as well.Pricing: Their base price is $100, which I was willing to pay for the good artistry and clean workspace, even for such a tiny and basic tattoo. My artist told me that since this piece only took 20 min, he'd give a store credit if I came back in so that I wouldn't have to pay another $100 if I wanted another small tattoo.Friendliness: This was my first tattoo, so I let my artist know and he put me at ease. Very nice guy, just like the guy working the desk as well as the one who did my roommate's piece the same day.Overall very positive experience. I would certainly go back.

Great work, incredably clean lines, stunning art. He helped me find exactly what I wanted then took it, and turned it into a complete and beautiful pice. My first observation was that Good Times was the cleanest, and dopest looking tattoo shop I have seen. Artist, Ben Martinez, is not only a good dude but his crazy style took a tattoo of my daughters name and totally transformed it to an amazing piece with a version of a life tree where the roots form around a heart.......Freaking awesome! I will definitely be back for another piece soon, and I highly recommend Ben.

Every time I have been here it has been a great experience. All of the artists are talented and friendly. I have a full sleeve done by Alex Hinton and I am beyond happy with it. It is beautiful and he was the best to work with. They also moved to a new location that is extremely nice and in a great area. I recommend this shop to anyone in the market for a tattoo.

This place is legit! I've been getting tattooed at Good Times for several years and have amazing results on every piece they've done. I've worked with Kyle Olsen and Alex Hinton (I first started working with Alex in '98 or '99, and with Kyle in '13), and just like all the other artists at Good Times, both are amazingly talented graphic artists and phenomenal tattoo practitioners. Appointments usually last a few hours, and these guys always seem to come up with interesting discussion topics and are always good for a couple laughs during the sitting. The shop is managed well, facilities are very clean, and the staff is friendly and helpful. Be sure to plan ahead for your appointments. Quality tattoos take time to conceptualize, draw, and then properly execute. Make sure you let your artist go through the creative process with ample time to perfect the artwork.Tattoos are pretty personal, and I think you should enjoy the process as well as the result - so if you're wanting a truly custom and personal piece by a highly skilled artist with years and years and years and years of experience, Alex is definitely the guy to go with.

I got my first tattoo from this place by Kyle Olson. There's something about the place that keeps you calm. Walking in there, I was a bit nervous because I didn't know what to expect. I was referred here by a friend who gets tatted here often. I was also referred to Kyle by the same person. I came here twice; to meet with Kyle to set up an appointment and the other to get tattooed. I came in on a Friday to meet with him and got the tattoo the following Monday. Kyle was very nice! He had me email him all my tattoo ideas and he took the weekend to work on it. I love my tattoo and it wasn't painful at all. I was really calm during the tattoo. My mom came with me and he kept my mom calm (I am her baby, after all) by talking to her and keeping up good conversation. This guy has some mad skills. I'm so in love with my tattoo. I plan on getting another tattoo and I'm not sure it'll be as comfortable as my first tattoo experience. I paid $120 for the tattoo (not including $20 tip). The people are all very nice and friendly. The place is extremely clean and you know you're at a good tattoo place. They have great artists, all extremely talented artists.I'm going to wait to come home from college to get my next tattoo with Good Times!

Lovely work originally, terrible followup. I had my entire thigh done by Kyle Olsen (who was appointed to me without asking if I wanted anybody specific), but it was an overall wonderful experience. His placement was perfect the first time, and he was a joy to speak with while working on my leg. Unfortunately, though, I will never go back to this shop. I was told to call in about two weeks to get touch-up information, and wasn't helped at all while on the phone. His card itself only has the shop's phone number as contact information, and when calling the shop, I was only able to speak with their desk guy, who was vague when asking questions and absolutely useless in giving me any more information on when to call again. I contacted Kyle himself over Facebook, and he told me when he was free and set up an appointment with me for a certain day at 12. I waited until 12:30 in the parking lot, and he didn't show up. They don't open for business until 1, so I thought maybe he meant 1 or was caught up somewhere else. I waited until 1 and went in, and was told that they didn't have any number to contact him at. Finally around 2, he came in and glanced at me as if he was surprised. He looked at the computer and said I had no appointment, and refused to do my touch up because of it. I later nicely contacted him again, saying I'd get a hold of him later for a touch-up, and he didn't even respond.

I was a faithful and long time client of Good Times until I realized that I was not getting the art work or session time that I was paying for, but the last straw was when one of the artists mistreated my wife, by throwing money in her face. His exact words to her were, "" I don't have time for this sh**."" We both haven't been back there for 4 years, any time I was getting tattooed, it was a very uncomfortable experience, I get tattooed at a new shop in town, and it is the best tattoo experience each time. All I have to say is that the artists at Good Times are good artists, but they need to learn to appreciate customers, because we are the ones that pay their bills. We now found artists that are not only awesome at what they do, but they also understand the importance of treating people the right way.

My dad and I had some work done in December (05) and we had Bonnie. It was a great bonding experience and she was really fun to work with! The shop itself was clean and the music was great. (No need to bring your iPod!) There's plenty of parking outside, but just make sure that you read the signs. (We pulled into a back in only space and got a ticket, doh!) But they were accurate with the quote and we had a great time - but a note - they only take cash, so make sure that you have enough on you for your deposit. Plus, it's across the street from the Gateway, so after you're done, you can go get something to eat!

The shop is super clean and very hip in it's design. As the previous person mentioned this is not a ""stop in, pick a tat fromt he wall, and have some greasy guy do a substandard job"" You need an appointment, and art is created for you, when you leave you can usually request your artwork for yourself. No one will be walking around with your work, ever.

I went in 2 weeks ago to book an appointment with Ben Martinez after seeing his awesome line work. The artist who booked my appointment was very professional and it was a quick and easy process. Came back for my appointment and Ben checked in with me several times to make sure the draft of it was what I wanted. The tattoo came out better than I could have imagined and the lines are so crisp. He was very nice and professional and the staff was entertaining. Never felt uncomfortable one second. I look forward to getting more work done by the amazing artists here!

His line work was really good, he was super nice to talk to while I was getting it done, and he explained the aftercare process well. Overall, I couldn't have been happier with the experience and I would recommend him and the shop to anyone.

I am bummed to even be writing this review, as I was so excited to get work done here. I have heard great things about a few of the artists here and don't like to write reviews that reflect an entire business.Unfortunately my artist didn't show up to the appointment I paid a $100 deposit for and booked one month ago. I walked in, and saw someone (another artist) I smiled and I said "I have an appointment at 11 with Ben Martinez." He said "Okay, haven't seen him yet." So I sat and waited. 25 minutes passed, with about 5 different people working and not one of them said a word to me. I thought maybe I wrote my appointment time down wrong, so went and asked the same guy to check and confirm my appointment time. He confirmed "11am with Ben" and said "let me text him and see whats up." He comes back about 10 minutes later (11:35) and says "He thought your appointment was at 12:00, he's on his way." So I waited, until 12:00. I sat there for an hour with only those two interactions. Ben never showed. So I left at 12:00pm, after taking the day off work, paying them $100, and wasting my time sitting there. I walked out and never heard from the shop, or Ben. Today I went in, collected my deposit and still have yet to hear from the artist. Aside from being extremely disappointed, I am more impressed that a shop with such poor customer service is doing so well. Had this been a person seeking their first tattoo, that would have ruined their entire experience. I run a small business with private clientele, and am pretty understanding to circumstances that may interfere with appointments, but I sure as hell would call and at the very least apologize or try to reschedule after wasting someones time.

The sign says walk-ins welcome. Didn't feel welcome at all. Myself and two others (we are all person of color) walked in and no one said a word to us. I know one person was already tattooing someone. One person looked me right in the face and didn't say anything. I figured, maybe they just need a minute. So we sat down and looked through their books, maybe five minutes, still nothing. Do they not like black people? That's how it felt. I only went there because someone recommended them. Disappointed to say the least.

Amazing shop with great vibes and even greater artists! Have gone to this shop multiple times and it is always top notch artistry. Like them on FaceBook and follow the artists on Instagram as they post fun specials throughout the year. Took a detour away from my normal artist today (Alex Mecham) and took advantage of a special that Benjamin Martinez was running. Both are brilliant artists with massive amounts of talent. Alex Guy is the guy! (See what I did there?) I'm incredibly grateful I went to Alex for my first tattoo because he is fantastic. He calmed all my nerves the first time I came in and gave me exactly what I wanted but took my ideas above and beyond. The moment he started my first tattoo I decided to get a sleeve and I couldn't have picked a better person to work on a sleeve with. He is so creative and always comes up with the coolest shit I could never even think of. He listens to what I want and makes sure I'm happy with everything before pursuing. The studio is insanely clean and the whole staff is friendly. They were cleaning when I got in and the place was already spotless. They always make sure I'm comfortable and today one of the artists ran to the gas station and asked if I wanted anything. How sweet? All the artists are incredibly talented as well. They have an up for grabs wall with beautiful pieces to get. I believe their going rate is $100 an hour. I highly recommend Good Times if you're looking for a place to get tattooed. Note: They are cash only but have an ATM on site. I'm sure it charges a fee, I came prepared.

If I could give more than five stars to this place, I would. A friend and I were visiting SLC for the weekend and decided to check out Good Times after reading other great Yelp reviews. We were both tattooed by Al, and we couldn't be happier with our pieces and our experiences working with him. Even after a small scheduling snafu, he accommodated both of us with ease and took his time to make sure we were happy with our pieces. My friend and I were initially unsure if he understood what we each wanted after explaining, but he hit the nail on the head with the very first drawings he put together. Al is super friendly, patient, and a truly talented guy. I couldn't have asked for a better experience getting my first tattoo, even if I cried like a baby through the whole thing!

I went to Good Times for my first tattoo. It was a Friday and I was a walk-in. I was greeted immediately by a nice and professional dude who helped me find an available artist to go over my design. I was lucky enough to work with TJ, who took my design and made suggestions to make it fit and look good on my forearm. He immediately went to work and an hour and a half later I had my very first tattoo done!
The shop was very clean, the staff was very friendly, and overall I had a great experience! I was well taken of and given plenty of info on after-tattoo care. TJ was fun to work with! We chatted and laughed the whole time and I felt totally relaxed.

The guy who did it was Alex Mecham and he was very nice and did a fantastic job of fixing the crappy tattoo that ASI Tattoo produced. The vibe in the shop was extraordinary and all-around very nice. I went to SLC Ink to get a chest piece done that was going to take around 4 sessions I scheduled 2 months in advanced. When I showed up my artist was late and we didn't get started till an hour and a half after my appointment. Line work was amazing and I am super happy with the way it turned out after the first session. I had a family emergency come up making it so I couldn't go to met next session so I gave them a call (1 week before my next appointment) and said I wasn't going to be able to make it. I was told that they weren't able to find my appointment and they said they would figure it out and call me back. That was 4 months ago. When I called again to just get my deposit back ($100) they said they wouldn't be able to refund it because I never finished my sessions. Overall, the tattoo is amazing. The experience however was terrible

I mean, the rest of the reviews say amazing things but I'll add on to explain just how awesome Good Times Tattoo is. My girlfriend surprised me with a concert and a tattoo in SLC. She had been asking me what I wanted and secretly sent TJ the references. At first I was a little hesitant. My first and only tattoo had been something I had painted and asked the tattoo artist to just simply tattoo it on me. This time, I showed up without knowing what exactly I was getting. Walking into the shop, like everyone else I noticed it was extremely clean. Everyone was incredibly friendly. There was hip hop playing. It was such a yes. TJ came out and was extremely friendly. He showed me his idea and I fell in love. We started right away and he assured me if I needed breaks that was fine. The tattoo I was getting was much bigger than my first and the whole time I was comfortable and okay. Me, my girlfriend, and TJ shared a bunch of laughs, all being from the east coast. When it was over, being from San Francisco, I was really surprised at the low cost of the tattoo. For me, the tattoo and it's quality and the whole experience, were worth well over what I was asked to pay. My girlfriend loved my tattoo so much that she made an appointment with TJ that afternoon. She came in saying she liked geometric things and negative space. We trusted TJ and her tattoo came out fucking awesome. It honestly made me wish we were staying in SLC longer so I could get more. TJ is an amazing tattoo artist who does awesome line work and girlfriend and I will definitely make the 10 hour trip again if we want some quality tattoos. Amazing! From scheduling, consultation, to first appointment, Cam and Siri made my experiance amazing! Very thorough, explained every detail, and made sure I was happy. This was my first of 3 visits for a tattoo correction and I am very impressed. Studio is very clean, organized and well put together. Siri took great pride and detail in keeping everything sanitary! I was in Utah for a training class and had been wanting a particular finger tatto for awhile so I looked at a few shops and found good times. First I called and asked them if they could do a finger tattoo. The first question they asked was if I had other tattoos which I told them I have a lot of them. They told me in that case they would do it. I always find that not willing to tattoo the "job stopper" tattoos on people who don't already have a ton or who don't understand the commitment is a sign of a responsible tattoo shop. I payed them a visit and was able to do a walk-in. TJ did my tattoo and it came out great. It is on my ring finger and my wife just loves it. TJ did a great job and it is exactly what I wanted. Thanks for the great tattoo while I was in Utah. I would recommend this shop it was clean and professional.

Being a business owner myself I can say one of the most struggling parts can be when staff is at ends. Great vibe here and great environment + crowd. Exedes any standard of cleanliness and everyone was very professional, yet fun. Felt like a long time friend of those I conversed with at the shop. Couldn't me more satisfied with the art, or the studio. Highly suggest for anyone looking for a good experience and quality tattoo. Pricing is modest for the quality Good Times had curated, thank you.

I would definitely recommend Good Times to anyone looking to get tattooed. The shop is clean and a nice atmosphere. Everyone is super friendly and focused on making clients feel comfortable during their time at the shop. I was tattooed by Kyle Olson who is an amazing artist and gentleman! With just one email describing what I wanted he brought my idea to life and exceeded my already high expectations. He took care in perfecting the placement and size of my tattoo with attention to how it would best complement my body and existing tattoo in the same area. I sat for 4 hours and Kyle was pleasant and charming the entire sitting. He even provided us with dinner recommendations in the area after we were done. I also got to see him with other clients and he was just as attentive and provided honest feedback about what could work for a tattoo. Long story short, Kyle is a professional and fun person to get tattooed by in a great shop. Also check out their instagram @goodtimes_tattoo for a better representation of the work they do.

Even though my idea was pretty basic, he added a little extra flair to make it more unique.Cleanliness: The most impressive part was my first look upon walking in - somebody was thoroughly cleaning the tables and entire area where the artists work. They seem to take cleanliness very seriously, which is exactly what I was looking for. My artist cleaned the area of my tattoo before, during, and after working on it, which is pretty standard. He gave me a set of instructions on aftercare as well.Pricing: Their base price is $100, which I was willing to pay for the good artistry and clean workspace, even for such a tiny and basic tattoo. My artist told me that since this piece only took 20 min, he'd give a store credit if I came back in so that I wouldn't have to pay another $100 if I wanted another small tattoo.Friendliness: This was my first tattoo, so I let my artist know and he put me at ease. Very nice guy, just like the guy working the desk as well as the one who did my roommate's piece the same day.Overall very positive experience. I would certainly go back.

Great work, incredably clean lines, stunning art. He helped me find exactly what I wanted then took it, and turned it into a complete and beautiful pice. He takes his time with every step to get it exactly right. Also he is easy and fun to talk to.Could not more highly recommend a shop or artist. Completely satisfied.

My first observation was that Good Times was the cleanest, and dopest looking tattoo shop I have seen. Artist, Ben Martinez, is not only a good dude but his crazy style took a tattoo of my daughters name and totally transformed it to an amazing piece with a version of a life tree where the roots form around a heart.......Freaking awesome! I will definitely be back for another piece soon, and I highly recommend Ben.

The new location is amazing, they put such hard work into making a cool and comfortable environment and are great to work with when it comes to scheduling. Everyone at the shop is great and has such strong work to show - Ben, Kyle, Alex, Alex, Alex, Alex, Alex, Alex (did I get them all??), but let's be honest...Danny is the best in the biz (I heard he invented water color!) and is not only an amazing artist but an all around great dude! The calibre of work coming out of this shop is unreal, and the vibe is so chill and fun, you won't regret coming here!

This place is legit! I've been getting tattooed at Good Times for several years and have amazing results on every piece they've done. I've worked with Kyle Olsen and Alex Hinton (I first started working with Alex in '98 or '99, and with Kyle in '13), and just like all the other artists at Good Times, both are amazingly talented graphic artists and phenomenal tattoo practitioners. Appointments usually last a few hours, and these guys always seem to come up with interesting discussion topics and are always good for a couple laughs during the sitting. The shop is managed well, facilities are very clean, and the staff is friendly and helpful. Be sure to plan ahead for your appointments. Quality tattoos take time to conceptualize, draw, and then properly execute. Make sure you let your artist go through the creative process with ample time to perfect the artwork.Tattoos are pretty personal, and I think you should enjoy the process as well as the result - so if you're wanting a truly custom and personal piece by a highly skilled artist with years and years and years and years of experience, Alex is definitely the guy to go with.

I got my first tattoo from this place by Kyle Olson. There's something about the place that keeps you calm. Walking in there, I was a bit nervous because I didn't know what to expect. I was referred here by a friend who gets tatted here often. I was also referred to Kyle by the same person. I came here twice; to meet with Kyle to set up an appointment and the other to get tattooed. I came in on a Friday to meet with him and got the tattoo the following Monday. Kyle was very nice! He had me email him all my tattoo ideas and he took the weekend to work on it. I love my tattoo and it wasn't painful at all. I was really calm during the tattoo. My mom came with me and he kept my mom calm (I am her baby, after all) by talking to her and keeping up good conversation. This guy has some mad skills. I'm so in love with my tattoo. I plan on getting another tattoo and I'm not sure it'll be as comfortable as my first tattoo experience. I paid $120 for the tattoo (not including $20 tip). The people are all very nice and friendly. The place is extremely clean and you know you're at a good tattoo place. They have great artists, all extremely talented artists.I'm going to wait to come home from college to get my next tattoo with Good Times!

Lovely work originally, terrible followup. I had my entire thigh done by Kyle Olsen (who was appointed to me without asking if I wanted anybody specific), but it was an overall wonderful experience. His placement was perfect the first time, and he was a joy to speak with while working on my leg. Unfortunately, though, I will never go back to this shop. I was told to call in about two weeks to get touch-up information, and wasn't helped at all while on the phone. His card itself only has the shop's phone number as contact information, and when calling the shop, I was only able to speak with their desk guy, who was vague when asking questions and absolutely useless in giving me any more information on when to call again. I contacted Kyle himself over Facebook, and he told me when he was free and set up an appointment with me for a certain day at 12. I waited until 12:30 in the parking lot, and he didn't show up. They don't open for business until 1, so I thought maybe he meant 1 or was caught up somewhere else. I waited until 1 and went in, and was told that they didn't have any number to contact him at. Finally around 2, he came in and glanced at me as if he was surprised. He looked at the computer and said I had no appointment, and refused to do my touch up because of it. I later nicely contacted him again, saying I'd get a hold of him later for a touch-up, and he didn't even respond.

I was a faithful and long time client of Good Times until I realized that I was not getting the art work or session time that I was paying for, but the last straw was when one of the artists mistreated my wife, by throwing money in her face. His exact words to her were, "" I don't have time for this sh**."" We both haven't been back there for 4 years, any time I was getting tattooed, it was a very uncomfortable experience, I get tattooed at a new shop in town, and it is the best tattoo experience each time. All I have to say is that the artists at Good Times are good artists, but they need to learn to appreciate customers, because we are the ones that pay their bills. We now found artists that are not only awesome at what they do, but they also understand the importance of treating people the right way.

My dad and I had some work done in December (05) and we had Bonnie. It was a great bonding experience and she was really fun to work with! The shop itself was clean and the music was great. (No need to bring your iPod!) There's plenty of parking outside, but just make sure that you read the signs. (We pulled into a back in only space and got a ticket, doh!) But they were accurate with the quote and we had a great time - but a note - they only take cash, so make sure that you have enough on you for your deposit. Plus, it's across the street from the Gateway, so after you're done, you can go get something to eat!

If you want a wonderful experience in getting a tattoo, please go in and speak to the guys at Goodtimes. The owner Colby is great, Alex is super interesting, Vic is plan funny. All are very talented. The shop is super clean and very hip in it's design. As the previous person mentioned this is not a ""stop in, pick a tat fromt he wall, and have some greasy guy do a substandard job"" You need an appointment, and art is created for you, when you leave you can usually request your artwork for yourself. No one will be walking around with your work, ever.

The talent at Good times is unsurpassed. If you are looking for custom art work worthy of framing then look no more. This is not your ""Get the artwork off the wall"" kind of place. The atmosphire is great, very clean professional, not the ""typical"" tattoo shop. Be prepared to make an appointment but it is really worth the wait.
