I have never experienced such utter disrespect and lack of customer service than I did the moment I entered the door of Lost Art Tattoo. The staff was outright rude, they discredited all inquiries about my tattoo request and ideas, acted disrespectful about my interests telling me things like my skin will sag and my tattoo would never work, and talked down to me like I was a child. Piercing - Jeremy is amazing. He's kind, and gentle, while not just telling you what you want to hear, but what you need to hear. He's the only piercer I will go to in the whole state. Fairly priced. Why then did I give them a 2 star rating you ask? Looking for a tattoo- look somewhere else, Lost art is waaay over priced. Im not going to say the artists aren't great, because they are Great artists.. however they are full of themselves. They say you get what you pay for, as a way to bully people into paying more. For something they could have gotten elsewhere, while being just as good for less money. Also, a few of them are down right rude. My brother went in for a tribute piece. On his calf. Paid almost 300 bones. It wasn't super detailed, has some shading. Looks great, except for a small area that has scabbed badly. (Maybe, maybe not the artists fault) I went to my tattoo shop... got a much more detailed piece on my calf. 3D effects, lots of little lines, and lots of shading. Paid 120. You dont always have to pay more for great work. Both tattoos are pictured. No I won't name the other shop, or artist. Since this isnt about pulling clients to a specific place. Just an FYI for those shopping around. Just because they quote you high, doesn't mean you cant find the same caliber of work, for less. Read Less

Went to see Jeremy for a nose piercing, I've never been there before, I was going to get my nose pierced for a second time because where I went the first time did a high robbery and screwed up the piercing. Jeremy was patient and he spent one on one time to discuss things with me and answered all my questions. He did a perfect job on my nose gave me step by step cleaning instructions.. I was really comfortable, to get my nose pierced in the same spot I thought it was going to hurt bad, but it felt like a pinch and bam its done.. Christian has tattooed me for years and has always been able to see the vision I had for what i wanted. His work is detailed and his skill caters to difficult pieces. I first got a detailed profile of a skull and later added a headdress to me shoulder that wrapped underneath the armpit. Turned out beautiful. Professional as anyone could ask for and very careful. Got a cover up tattoo by Jon on 9/30/17. He was very kind and professional. And the tattoo exceeded my expectations. He also won over my moms approval as well, and she was completely skeptical about whether it would look good in the end. My only small issue was the confusion in pricing about what was quoted and then what was charged. So I ended up having to use my tip money to pay more for the tattoo than I thought I'd have to. I just recently visited, Jeremy, at Lost Art Tattoo. Jeremy is a Professional Piercer, who did a few piercings for me 20 years ago. I was so impressed by his knowledge, strict adherence to asepsis and professionalism that I found him again after 20 years! Jeremy is even better and has grown in his art, I was so impressed! Having come from a medical background, I can tell whether someone really knows what they are doing. Jeremy is the best as far as I am concerned, I would not go to anyone else. I have been a client of Big Dave's for years, and he's an incredible artist and serious professional. He does an excellent job of walking through designs and talking through possibilities for the art. He charges very reasonable prices for his work. I am always comfortable on his table, and I have to say, he has one of the softest touches I've experienced. Yes, it's still a little needle being drive into the skin, which I would never call fun, but he's fast and light, and it makes the process super easy, even for long sessions. (I had one tattoo once where I seriously thought the artist was flaying my skin off, and he would rub the fresh wound REALLY hard. Dave feels like a tickle in comparison.) I always enjoy chatting with him, which also makes the process nice. The best part: all of the pieces he's done for me look amazing, exactly like what I wanted, and they remain bright and beautiful even after more than a decade. I have listened in on the other staff working with clients, and they always seem personable and very clear about what they will be doing and how things will work out. They are a nice bunch of people, even on the phone when setting up appointments. I also love the new space--airy and open and cozy all at the same time. And wherever their location, they always keep things spotless.No matter where I live, I will keep all of my ink work for Dave because he knows what he's doing and, well, he's just a great guy! I've always thought highly of this studio and had no problems with my own tattoos, one being on my lip a couple years ago. Very frustrated with a recent visit. A friend of mine had gotten a lip tattoo and guaranteed a free touch up as they don't stick after the first time over anyway. When we came in for that touch up she was told they would only touch it up for $70. This is upsetting considering she was promised a free touch up and would have been a 15 minute job. My wife got her first tattoo here today. After several years of researching, planning and visiting many other shops we knew Lost Art was the right place for us. Jeremy greeted us immediately upon walking through the door, answered our many questions and made us feel comfortable. We were introduced to Big Dave and shared our design ideas with him. We gave him complete artistic license and have to say it is completely different than we were thinking. However, we couldn't be happier! Dave is an amazing artist and knocked it out of the park.
