I can not believe the unprofessionalism of this place. I decided I wanted a tattoo, called ahead and they said they take walk-ins until midnight. Cool, I get off work at 10 and drive straight here (coming from Utah county and stopping by the house to let my dog out to pee) I arrive at 11 and walk in. When I walk up to the counter and show the staff member what I wanted, I get "nope, not gonna fuckin happen". I tell him I wanted just line work and not the color or shading that was in the picture. All I wanted was a sternum piece, few flowers and a some dragonflies. Tells me to wait about 10 minutes and someone would help us. Then he leaves. We wait for an HOUR and then they tell us that we would have to wait another hour so he could draw it up. So we start waiting. Then he comes out and tells us after all this waiting that they weren't going to do it after all. ALL THE WHILE, he keeps coming out and asking us if he can schedule us later, whining about this, bitching about that, and throwing a tantrum like a 7 year old. I know now for future reference to take my business elsewhere and not to spend a dime in this joint. Good news is though, they felt like doing a 1",1" grilled cheese tattoo! Read Less

I'm really disappointed :(. I got a finger tattoo from this place 2 years ago. I got it from an artist that said I would get free touch ups for life. I ended up needing a touch up about 6 months after. My artist didn't show for my appointment. After an hour of sitting there, the shop owner fixed my tattoo! I just called to get my free touch up just to fix the bottom of my tattoo where it's rubbed. I was told that the coverup would be $80. I'm so disappointed. I wish I would've known the free touch ups for life wasn't just for one touch up :( Read Less

Rude! Complete rip off! Disrespectful! Little asshole piercer needs to learn some manners! So I call to find out pricing for my boyfriend and I to get piercings done. Okay, so here's the deal, from my own recent experience. The place isnt fancy, but the people seem nice enough and it was fairly clean. I was really happy to have gotten Marco. I'd go back to him anytime, and plan to. He was clean, well mannered, and VERY talented! He has a future, for sure! Honestly, any recommendations for going to the Artist's Den would be GO TO MARCO! Tatoos can be good or risky, depending on who you have as your artist. I feel like I'm not taking chances by going to him. I was so stupid and hadn’t eaten the whole day, but they made sure to get me sugars, and were so patient and nice about the whole situation. The only reason I'm leaving 2 stars is because everyone was nice and there was good energy. I got my first tattoo done by Nate, I was very excited and he had a lot of awards for good work. His work on me was terrible. The shading is blobs, there are tons of smudges of ink outside the lines. There was no dedication to the work. It felt like he saw me as some teenage girl getting her first typical tattoo and didn't take his time. I do NOT suggest that you see him. I will not be returning to this shop. Read Less

Check out the screenshots of the messages I received this morning. I posted them on this very yelp page. I think you'll find it very informative. I woke up to these messages when my boyfriend and I the previous night, made an appointment, showed up some 40 minutes early to inform ourselves more about the piercing, and finally decided that we needed to think it over some more. The piercer was out on a break and there was a staff member there in the waiting room with us. Before we left, which was still 20 minutes before the appointment, I specifically told her to inform the piercer that he would no longer need to expect us and waste their time. I guess she didn't care to let her fellow staff members know and make their lives easier.This is a damn business. Sometimes customers are going to piss you off and that's ok. But what's not ok is blowing up their phone calling them conceited and pricks and telling them to "suck your mom's dick." You know how many times I wanted to chew out insane customers? So many. You know how many times I lost my self-control and actually did it? 0.I am actually disturbed at the immaturity and unprofessionalism of the staff running this place. I felt very welcomed and the staff was friendly. Was able to get in and out of there in less then a half hour for my nose piercing. My piercer was a bit rude but it definitely did not ruin my experience. Would recommend. Read Less

Wanted to get a tattoo a month back and was able to message Nok over Facebook with an immediate response. When I got there and hour or 2 later the sketch was already drawn up from what I had explained over messenger. The sketch was perfect and the tattoo came out amazing! Nok was great and easy to work with which made the experience great! It also helps that they're open 24/7 so if you want to go later they'll help you out! i had high expectations coming into this shop. I was very disappointed in my experience. they were all smoking weed while I was there, the two guys that were at the front desk were going back and forth about who was going to take me back. neither of them wanted to. it was very uncomfortable. the one who ended up taking me back was very nice, but i don't feel like he put much effort into the tattoo. its very crooked and doesn't look like the picture i gave him. I felt i was paying more for a better tattoo.. but that wasn't the case. now i have to go get it fixed somewhere else. I hope I can get my money back. Read Less

Great shop. Wonderful atmosphere and friendly attentive artists who listen and will do exactly what you want. Previously I had gone to big deluxe and left without ink because I felt rushed and like I was bothering/annoying  the artist with questions that I was asking.  I had Brian do a new small simple tattoo for me and also he touched up a 15 year old tattoo of mine- made it look fresh and amazing! This place is great! Decent prices, friendly staff, just good vibes all around. I just got my first tattoo here Monday afternoon and it was a great experience. I was really nervous and kind of awkward but Jay was very reassuring during the whole process. He treated me like a good friend and did a quick and awesome job with my tattoo. The Artist's Den is a great place to get a tattoo from. They have amazing artists and the prices are fair. It's a clean shop filled with great people! They also have a top notch piercer. Got a cover up buy Jay. I thought it would be impossible to cover but I showed him some things I liked and he came up with a great piece. He is friendly and respectful. Everyone in the shop was also very friendly, introduced themselves, and would chat with me. Don't go here, unless you want to bargain and you have very low hopes for your tattoo.Went here, last minute with a couple of my girlfriends (we are all out of town). We had three simple words we wanted, the 1st night we went in we met Marcos and "Nok". Be aware, Marcos has mor experience then Nok. As stated by Nok, this is a shop that is set up like a school?, each of them charge and have different work ethics. I had Nok start my tattoo, I was indecisive of what I wanted covering a very small one next to the words :/ So she told me I could contact her via text (her phone number was verified) which I did after a day, when I finally decided how I wanted the tattoo to be finished. She included the coverup with the initial amount I paid her on the 1st night. She never responded and was MIA. I gave up on this immature woman, who speaks highly about herself and her so called "career". One of my friends "needed" to make a down payment on her tattoo, in order to lock the price she quoted her on. Needless to say she lost the deposit, because we never were able to get a hold of the chick. My friend called the "manager" who was nice enough to fit us in, the morning of our departure, 2 days after the initial night we walked into the shop. He was able to do my tiny coverup and one of my friends tat. Although he seemed rushed and not focused. We told him our previous experience with Nok but he really didn't seem to care or want to del with it. He did offer to do my cover for the subtraction of what my friend had put down with Nok. Overall, this experience was hectic and very aggravating, not at all what we 5 had in mind for our "traveling" tattoos. Please take your time, feel the so called artist out and proceed with care.P.S this place does no ID checks and no paperwork, all word of mouth...A.K.A looking to get sued. Read Less

I've been going to Jay since my brother passed away which was back in 2014 since then he has worked on me personally at least 5 or 6 different times my wife 3 times an my brother 4 times. I can trust Jay to listen to what we have in mind an he makes it happen. However every artist in the shop is equally amazing in there own way. Got my first tattoo done two weeks ago (1st picture) and it came our awesome. I went back three days ago and got it filled in, and it came out better than I expected or could have imagined.
