Got my work done about 8 months ago and feel I need to drop credit where it's do. Alex is the man, I got some Aztec art done by him and everywhere I go people keep asking me where I got it. (Funny because it's not even done yet) All and all it was a great experience and I loved it gotta get back in there when I'm not broke to get my arm finished up. I went in last Friday to get a tattoo in Memory of my Husband that just passed. Alex Vazquez did my tattoo. He is very patient, kind, sympathetic, empathetic, and just a great man. I took him my husbands Crucifix from his services, and Alex made me an original one of a kind tattoo from it, and also took ashes from my Urn, and added to my tattoo ink. I've gone to Alex at Aces for 2 tattoos, he does solid lines and bright colors!. Great Work and a great value. he offers great aftercare advice and knows just how to treat your skin so that it will heal quickly. Alex has handled different styles on both visits and did well with both. I love the new school piece he did on me. I got my 10th tattoo here after moving here from the East Coast. I usually fly my tattoo artist from the Boston area out here whenever I want some ink done, since I usually want a significant amount done. However I had an itch for some ink as I'm sure anybody that's reading this can relate to. I wanted a small poem (one run on sentence) tattooed on my tricep. I had to tell the guy continuously where the apostrophes go, and even though I had CLEARLY written everything, he still had spelling errors in his stencil that I had to correct him on. Which brings me to this-why did he need a stencil for writing?! I had a wrap around leg piece done by my artist and he didnt need a stencil! ANYWAYS-this place is not a friendly enviroment, constantly talking about prison and probation, loud music with racial slurs were being played AND on top of it all-my friggin tattoo is illegible! He tried being all fancy and shit when I told him I wanted basic cursive. It looks like some elementary school kid took a caligrophy class and tried it out on my skin. It'll be a bitch to get it covered up since it's black and sloppy. Also very unsanitary. These people are also rude, I dont know how they pass inspection or have business, other than maybe their prison buddies going there after they get out. It's gross. I walked in yesterday and asked about my tattoo. Donny had done a tattoo for my sister last year, so i knew he was the artist for mine. i had a rough picture of what i wanted along with the colors. I asked him if he had any other ideas with it (different colors, or shapes) he told me it would be ready by tomorrow and to come in at 11 when the shop opened. I came in and he had the stencil ready to go. I got a chest tattoo, so being a girl it was a little awkward at first, but he make it very comfortable making sure i was covered. he lined up the two tattoos and off we went. It was the most painful thing i have experienced in a while. but he helped, calmed me down and made the process go pretty fast :) my tattoos took about 2 hours. He did an AMAZING job. i plan on more tattoos here soon. i will NOT go to anyone else. he is the best!! Read Less

I loved the place the music they played the artists were all nice and funny got my first tattoo there and a cover up on a nasty ex bf's name pretty big size i thought couldnt be covered but i actually got something that went with my first tattoo i also got my tongue pierced there which i was a little scared about but they were great pretty soon im going in to get some more you guys are the best keep it up ! :) Read Less

Hate to see the negative reviews of Aces, I think they deserve better but everyone's experience is different. Got my nose pierced there and had no problems whatsoever, CJ was able to calm me down, and did a great job- meaning it was fast and he explained everything he was going to do. I'm on day 5 and no infection yet, I;ve been cleaning it every couple hours, along with pushing the post up and down. Still have 5 days to go so if it gets infected I'll be singing a different tune. Originally went in to have a second opinion done on my belly piercing. Jeff the piercer fixed my infected piercing(i got somewhere else). repierced it and it is healing wonderfully. This place is clean, and very friendly. I have been back for a few other piercings since- none have given me any problems! He is very knowledgable,professional, and awesome. I can say it was an amazing experience, and i would never go any where else. I walked in and just wanted a small ankle piece.. I got helped right away. Everyone greeted me and made sure I was being helped. My artist (who i dont know the name of) is newer but did a GREAT job on my tat. They offer free touchups for life. All were very friendly and even gave me food. lol I went back the very next day to start on a back piece, that i was going to wait on but the price was just too good to pass up. Casper started my back piece and I LOVE it...i got a little light headed at one point and he bought me a soda to help with that. It's clean and every one was very friendly. I went to Aces to get my first tattoo because my friend has gotten all of her piercings there and I knew they were clean and friendly. I brought in my design and made an appoinment for nine days later. When I went back in, Kato had lost my desgin which I thought was unprofessional, but he quickly drew me up a perfect one which I ended up liking a LOT better. While doing my tattoo Kato was friendly and talkative, and understanding that I was nervous. I asked about a million questions and he was very patient. He did very well, used great colors, and everything went smoothly. I think this is a great place, other than the fact that my original design was lost. My first experience here was really quite good. It was my first Tattoo, I was quoted accurately and reasonably, so I was excited to go back when I was ready to get my ""epic"" back piece done. But when I went back several weeks later with the designs I wanted for my back piece, looking for a quote and information on how long/how many sessions I would need, I was far less interesting than the television that was on in the room at the time. it put me off, as this was a big piece, I wanted an artist that gave me all of his attention, even in quote phase. Competing with Judge Joe Brown (actually I can't remember what they were watching...) has had me looking for a new artist for a few years now... It discouraged me just enough that I am traveling to Phoenix AZ to get the rest of my work done, because a friend there has a great artist. So my first experience was good, my second stunk before I walked in the door. I don't think I will even return for my free for life touch ups. Read Less

I went in to get a tattoo just recently and from the moment I walked in they were super super nice I recommend this for anyone who wants nice,fast,and Friendly service they were terrific and Mitch the guy that did my Tattoo was soooo incredibly nice it was so crazy to have service like that and the tattoo turned out great he kept asking me questions to keep me calm and he always asked if I was okay and if I felt like I needed a minute to breath or felt lightheaded to tell him and we could stop he was so amazing I tipped him very high for his great service!
