My friend showed me her tattoo and raved about her experience at this place. She said they also do piercings and have a ton of high quality jewelry. I needed a new septum ring and thought I’d give them a call to find out their prices ranges. I got the price range but was recommended to come in and check the septum rings out since there was a large selection. I showed up later that day and Travis Jamison behind the counter remember me calling. He was super helpful and showed me every septum ring they had, and even brought out stuff from the back so I could find the right one. The environment was family friendly and Travis was patient with letting me take my time in deciding what septum ring to choose. I felt no pressure to buy anything and when I did pick he even helped me make sure it was the right gauge. I left feeling like I had just made a friend. Thank Travis for all the help! Casey's work is amazing. He has done both mine and my husband's tattoos for the last 3 years and I've never been less than ecstatic with them. I have had Derek pierce my darth a few months ago and he was great. Answered all my questions and just made me feel comfortable so yesterday my friend and I went in and got the conch piercing and also 2 tattoos from tab. The jewelry selection is amazing and though I don't yet have a tattoo, if I ever decide on one I will be going here. The shop is kept super clean and everyone there is very friendly. I've had 4 piercings done by Derek now and every time had been amazing. My first piercing I was so nervous I think I spent a good hour going through everything with him. Probably drove him crazy, but he was very patient with me and made sure I was comfortable with everything before we proceeded. He explained exactly what I should expect for healing and everything he was doing to make sure my piercing not only looked perfect, but was safe. But honestly the biggest thing he did for me was he made me feel comfortable. I have issues with my body and sometimes do not feel comfortable in my own skin which makes it difficult to allow people close to me if I'm not super comfortable with them. But Derek is very approachable and loves what he does so I felt not only comfortable, but confident in my body (and it's new jewelry). My Mom and I came in to Punctured last night specifically to be pierced by Derek. We've been talking about having our helix piercings done for a while now, but couldn't find a piercer or shop we felt totally comfortable with. I called Punctured on a whim, and Derek answered. I spoke with him on the phone for a good 10-15 minutes, and immediately felt comfortable choosing him! He explained to me what to look for in a piercer, in a shop, and in jewelry, so that even if we did not go with him, we would choose somewhere that was safe and reputable. When we arrived last night, everyone at the shop was so friendly and helpful. It was extremely clean and organized, and Derek helped educate us even further on the jewelry we wanted to choose that would best fit our style. Casey can make some okay tattoos, but he can also easily fuck up your tattoo. He tries to push his design on you and is very arrogant. He is very unprofessional. He did my tattoo and I had to get it redone at another tattoo place. He doesn't take time on his work and is just lazy. He can make some good tattoos but that's depending on his mood. I got my lip pierced here and since I took it out years ago, it healed with protruding scar tissue  that also led to nerve damage.  The tattoo chair malfunctions and occasionally jerks, which made me very uneasy while my tattoo was being done.  It was all in one sitting, I nearly passed out and when I came to the artist did exactly what I told him not to. Casey has done a great job with his shop.  All the staff are friendly and knowledgeable and the parlor/shop is kept immaculately clean.Casey has done my tattoos and has always done a great job.  I have brought in my own art and he doesn't take it and tweak it unless I ask him to.  When asked, he provides good feedback to make sure the tattoo comes out looking great.  His lines are straight and clean, never had to get anything "fixed" after healing properly. This is the cleanest and most professional studio I have ever been to. Casey and his team put the customer first and aren't out there just to make a quick buck like other studios. Casey's work is amazing! His detail, shading, etc is for sure the best in salt lake and perhaps some of the best in the country. I look forward to getting my next tattoo! Hands down the best tattoo and piercing studio in Utah. I won't trust anyone else then Casey. All disposable setup and uses the numi machine reducing my healing time ad pain during the tattoo. And the fact thy it's a vegan friendly studio makes this worth any amount of travel time. Read Less

when I went into punctured to talk to them to get a price he gave me a quote and he stuck with that price. Unlike the other places i have been to, they gave me a price and on the next visit they charged me more. So if you want quality work and an awsome tat try Punctured in bountiful.
