I went and saw Clint to get some jewelry changed in my piercing. As soon as I sat down, he said it didn't look healed at all and that it was irritated. He was looking at the jewelry that I had in, and basically ripped it out with no warning. I don't remember the exact sequence of events, due to the pain I was in but I definitely remember there were tears from the pain and him not even acknowledging that I was clearly in a huge amount of pain. It was bleeding a ton, and it's never bled that much before. I've also never cried due to a piercing or jewelry change. On top of that, after I left I realized that he forgot to sterilize my jewelry! I brought a stud from home that I had in previously and he didn't even run it through an autoclave. I would expect a lot more from a 'professional'. Read Less

Jordin did an awesome job on my tattoo. I had picked out a seemingly simple symbolic design, but she was so friendly and patient with me in order to get the tattoo placed perfectly on the side of my arm/ wrist. She spent a lot of time to make sure I was happy and would continue to be happy with this permanent decision. Seriously though, the man is a surgeon with his tools - a creative genius. I would highly suggest finding another tattoo parlor.  Clynt stood me up for not one , but two appointments.  Not even canceling with me in advanced , he simply just didn't show up.  For both the cancellation he gave me half asses excuses one of which being "he had to go to a volleyball game" the second time he was sick , which of corse I understand, but then clynt told me he was leaving early the next morning to go to a tattoo convention .  In my opinion if he was healthy enough to goto a tattoo convention he was healthy enough to fulfill my appointment. After this he agreed to refund my deposit which I appreciate, but they made it very difficult for me to get the money back . Making  me wait over two weeks before I could come meet him at his studio. When I went to get my money back they were extremely rude.  Honestly this tattoo parlor is extremely unprofessional and I would not trust them to give me a tattoo, but this is just my experience. I've always wanted to get a tattoo, but I always felt nervous about whatever pain I might experience while getting one. I finally decided to suck it up and just do it and scheduled an appointment with Alterity since they were the closest tattoo parlor I knew of. Clint was my artist, and he was just overall really friendly and interactive. All of the staff were, honestly. It was just a great, chill atmosphere and they helped put my nerves at ease. Clint thought my crochet bag was cool, and asked for pictures so a replica could be made which was AWESOME... And when I said this would be my first tattoo I was told that piercings were actually worse? I already have a cartilage piercing so I know how that pain goes, but I never imagined a tattoo would be less painful than a piercing, so that was reassuring! If I can get through a piercing I can definitely get through a tattoo. Getting it was relatively quick since it was so small, and I really enjoyed the process a lot. They also sent a follow-up email to check up on how it was healing, and I that's really nice of them. I appreciate the time and dedication they have to do things the right way. My friend and I were looking for a tattoo on a whim. We were suggested this shop from someone who works at a reputable tattoo shop in Houston where I usually get all my work done. I am very picky about the shop and artists. I am also a creature of habit, so once I find something I like I keep going back to it. Again, coming in without an appointment, we were immediately greeted by a very kind woman at the front counter. She was very helpful and informative. She was also able to give us a roundabout quote of what we would be looking at, as well as letting us know of the availability Clynt, the tattoo artist, had that evening. I was able to meet with the artist, get a very reasonable quote, and have the work done in less than an hour. My experience was amazing. It is also extremely important to me that the shop is clean and all tools and workstations are kept sterile. Clynt walked me through the process and reassured and showed me the new tools and workstation. The experience was very pleasant and enjoyable. I am glad I have someone local now to go to for all my work, in addition to my Houston trips. Getting a tattoo is definitely very personal and meaningful, and should the whole process from start to finish should help add to the making of this memory. Talked to Clint over the phone, came in for consultation, met him and his wife(they're the owners) and came back later that evening to get a simple but lovely tattoo that I've been wanting and it was exactly what I asked for!! Clint was so nice and genuine. He made me feel confident and comfortable. The shop was extremely clean and he was extremely clean and cautious with his set up. He used disposable needles which made me feel even better and he was very good at educating me about tattoos and the process. It was just such a pleasant experience and I absolutely LOVE my tattoo! I took my daughter here to get a tattoo of hers touched up and one completely covered. Clynt was absolutely awesome. I honestly couldn't see any trace of the covered up tattoo at all and I'm pretty picky when it comes to ink. He took his time and worked with her on what she wanted and how she wanted the ink represented. He was upfront about the pricing and was really a great guy to be around. The shops super clean, has some awesome artwork, and he's really dedicated to his cause. I've been in several tattoo shops in the DFW area, most of them are good, some are bad, but this one....this was truly an AWESOME experience. My daughter passed away on May 27th of this year. The funeral home took her thumbprint before cremation. When I received it, there was no way that Clynt could make it to a tattoo. He ordered a special machine to make it work. I had it done today, and it is PERFECT! I went wanting some color, and he spent a lot of time explaining why a darker color would be better on a detailed tattoo like a thumbprint to show the unique design. My Experience at this shop was quite a big bad surprise!    Clynt was very nice when do8ng the consiltation and we seemed to be on the same page. I was very excited to get my first big tattoo on my forearm to cover a small one I received out in California.  The afternoon I came to get the piece done we talked again, he drew on the design and we picked out colors... asked that it look similar to another piece he had done( even had a pic of it)     UNFORTUNATELY FOR ME......he chose his OWN version of coloring and my tattoo became a BIG MESS!   THE COLOR PALLETTE IS ALL WRONG!  worse yet, the consistency of coloring is not the same throughout the piece.  The fractals I asked for turned into a snail like swirl and the butterfly swirl turned into a headless coiled snake in S.W. yellow,purple and red( looks lile a bruise healing).    The best part of the tattoo is on the upper arm tricep, but he forgot to clean off that area and the oils in my skin didnt let the ink fully adhere. ...its already fading out after three weeks.    I asked three other artists if there was a way to get rid of the wood carving look...... the answer is NO!   It would end up way too dark for my arm and I would still not be happy with the outcome.MY ONLY OPTION IS TO HAVE IT REMOVED AT A BIG EXPENSE NOT TO MENTION MORE HOURS OF PAIN AND POSSIBLE SCARING.I emailed and left messeges with my concerns to be ignored for 10 days!!!!!   When I finally got a response my issues were not addressed and I was treated as if they didnt care.   I told him I didnt believe it could be fixed and that I was left with having it removed...... his response was  OH, SOUNDS LIKE YOU ARE DISPLEASED.....SAD THAT MY PIECE WONT EXSIST ANYMORE AND GOOD LUCK WITH THE REMOVAL.    LOL. THATS IT.   I PAID $700.00 and sat 6 1/2. To be depressed for three weeks and he just washes his hands of it!!!!!!!My lesson:   DO NOT use an artist that is nice to talk to, but still looking to make a name for himself!!!!!!!!    His work ended up being the biggest mistake and his color choices made me think he was not on his game the day I came to get mine done.   He doesnt care....he got paid and doesnt have to live with it....I DO THOUGH!!!!!! If you are looking for a TRUE artist then Clynt is your guy! He is an all around great guy with ambition and the upmost respect for art. His work truly speaks volumes. The atmosphere in his studio is unlike any other. A true one of a kind here!!I have been to a handful of studios, looking for an artist that fits 'me'. I have wanted tattoos for years, but I was never able to take the first step, because I was never happy, impressed, connected, whatever you want to call it, with the artist at those other studios.
