I wanted to wait a bit before I reviewed. I got my Dairth pierced a week ago, I have had chronic headaches for years, this has been the first week I haven't had one. About a week ago I went to Immortal to have a daith piercing done. The service was quick, efficient, friendly, and what nerves I may have faced were easily distracted by the atmosphere of the parlor (there's amazing art everywhere). The piercing itself has yet to help with headaches, but as it's only been a week, time may be needed before it takes any effect. I got the daith after wanting it done for a long time, they were very friendly and in had migraines since I was 7, been on every med under the sun.. so I gave these a try. I will be happy to update in a month to let y'all know how it worked. The only suggestion I would make for the studio would to make sure to ask the client what type of jewelry they want in their ear as I was wanting the hoops and did not notice I got the bars until I went to the bathroom to see them, and al...so I'm a bleeder (from all the years of Tylenol, Advil, aspirin all that junk that makes ur body mad) and so I would recommend putting a little cotton in the ear canal before the piercing cuz that little trickle sure does tickle lol. My daughter and I both got daith piercings here almost a week ago. Aimee was amazing! My daughter is 14 and was nervous about the pain of the piercing. Aimee explained what she was doing step-by-step and was just really cool through the whole process. For anyone considering getting a daith piercing and wondering about the discomfort, I'll explain our experience. (Keep in mind it's only been 6 days.) The "procedure" was minimally painful. The clamp that's used to hold your e...ar is uncomfortable but doesn't hurt. My daughter's piercing went very quickly, and from her description, it hurt for just a split second. My ear is a bit thicker than most, apparently, and it took a little longer to get the needle through. Even with taking a little longer than most, the actual act of pushing the need through couldn't have taken more than about 10-15 seconds. Much like my daughter described, the pain was fairly sharp, but very short lived. Sort of like a really hard pinch. What bothered me more than the pain was the "pop" sound that happened when the needle broke through the other side of the cartilage. It was a weird sound, and I wasn't expecting it, so it caught me off guard and was just a little creepy. Getting the tiny little ball screwed onto the end of the jewelry took just a couple more seconds after that, and it was a done deal! The rest of the day, our ears were slightly sore, but not even as bad as having my earlobes pierced. We have cleaned the piercings with Q-tips and saline a couple of times a day, making sure not to touch the site with our hands, and we are both healing nicely. Six days out, we're very slightly sore, but less and less so every day. We are able to sleep on that side of our heads with no pain, but to be safe, we are trying to avoid doing so. I got the piercing to help with migraines, and I allowed my daughter to get it to help with anxiety. I normally have an intense headache at least every other day (3-4 times a week). In the last 6 days, I've only had one. I think it's too early to tell if the piercing is thank for that, but it hasn't hurt. My daughter's anxiety seems a little better, as well, but I still think it's too early to tell. I'm very glad we chose Immortal and Aimee to do our piercings. I got my daith pierced a little over a week ago and I wanted to wait a little while to write a review. I've been hospitalized for my migraines quite a few times and I started getting them again pretty bad. I went 5 days straight without it even easing up so I drew the line and went to get the "headache piercing". I am very happy that I did. It didn't work right away on me (everyone is different), but as time went on I saw more and more of a change. I still had a few headaches days after but my migraine was gone and that was my biggest goal. Now I have went days without even a headache and I am ecstatic. It was worth a try and I am glad I did!! Wish I could rate it 0 stars people are morons talked to them 4 times over the phone gone in twice and talked to someone so my minor daughter could get her nose pierced told them my oldest daughter was bringing her in they said as long has a school ID she could get it done and we were told something different everytime! I am from the Austin area, it is nearly impossible to get an appointment at any shop. I was in the Waxahachie area and talked to Jordy, it was such short notice but she was able to fit me into their busy schedule the next day. Fabian did a great job! My tattoo is perfect.
