i came in and asked if they had time to do a matching tattoo for me and my mom, and the guy (i would tell you his name but he never gave it to us) told me he could fit us in. we came in, showed him the design we wanted, and he got us set up. he was very friendly and talkative, which was nice, but the fact that he didn't give us his name or ask for either of our names kind of made me feel uncomfortable. after he was done, he bandaged us up and sent us home. i wouldn't mind the lack of personal connection we had if our tattoos had turned out perfect, but they didn't, at all. mine is blotchy in some places and faded in others, despite it being almost brand new. my mom's is worse. it has MAJOR bleeding of the ink and distortion of the lines. only giving this place 2 stars because of the short wait. would not recommend to anyone i care about.

I was referred to Haap by a friend of mine. He is a very talented artist by taking what I have wanted to both of my half sleeves and making them amazing.
When the weather was bad out at the shop during one of my appointments he called me well in advanced to let me know the area near the freeway would get flooded. He wanted to make sure I was safe and wouldn’t get stuck out there, since he knew I lived 45 min away. I was able to reschedule the appointment for the following week. Well worth it and not getting stuck somewhere I didn’t live.
I would recommend Haap to anyone who is wanting to get a tattoo done.

Carl Alexander is an amazing tattoo artist who took time with the design I wanted and worked with me to transform that image into the awesome tattoo that it is now. Carl is especially talented in detailed grey work. He works here and out of town so when he asks for a down payment it is only to make sure he is not in town for no reason. The shop is clean and has an enjoyable atmosphere. Crows Nest has my business for any future work I want done.

I was getting some numbness and irritation after my last visit, when I call him about it he immediately got defensive about the fact it wasn't his fault! Never even bothered to ask how I was, I had to get antibiotics to stop the inflammation, now I have a unfinished tattoo, I don't trust this shop to finish, if not for the germs, then for the horrible customer service :-/

I had my first session with David Gray on Tuesday, and I never want to go to anybody else!! I have many tattoos, but none of my previous experiences can match the tattoo from David. I told him what I wanted and let him into my head a bit (scary place) and he drew up a gorgeous tattoo design. From the beginning he was gentle and he took care of me. I was a bit anxious because this was a new artist for me, but his mannerisms calmed me and he met every one of my needs immediately and with no fuss! He even told me I could cuss him as much as I needed lol!! Surprisingly, I didn't need to at all. David is a great artist and tattoo-er. I highly recommend him! I will be back!

Haapy is a great artist. Glad I found him, I have been looking for an artist to do all my work. I have found him. He is doing a sleeve in 3 sessions and is knowledgeable about the healing process needed and what you need to do to protect your tattoo. When we discussed what I wanted, Haapy drew it up and a few weeks later I came in to get started. When I saw the art, tears came to my eyes. He captured what I wanted and more. I am excited to see the finished product.

He lets you stop when your body can't take anymore and will usually be able to schedule another appointment with in a couple weeks. Love this place, but come here for Haap the other guys who work here are super cool, too

I have gone here for almost all my work. Jesse is a great artist and does amazing color on everything. I've always been able to bring my ideas to Jesse and sit and talk with him and come up with something awesome. He's even come in on a off day to do a tattoo that had special meaning on the anniversary of the date. Talk to Jesse and you will not be disappointed!

I had my first session with David Gray on Tuesday, and I never want to go to anybody else!! I have many tattoos, but none of my previous experiences can match the tattoo from David. I told him what I wanted and let him into my head a bit (scary place) and he drew up a gorgeous tattoo design. From the beginning he was gentle and he took care of me. I was a bit anxious because this was a new artist for me, but his mannerisms calmed me and he met every one of my needs immediately and with no fuss! He even told me I could cuss him as much as I needed lol!! Surprisingly, I didn't need to at all. David is a great artist and tattoo-er. I highly recommend him! I will be back!

Haapy is a great artist. Glad I found him, I have been looking for an artist to do all my work. I have found him. He is doing a sleeve in 3 sessions and is knowledgeable about the healing process needed and what you need to do to protect your tattoo. When we discussed what I wanted, Haapy drew it up and a few weeks later I came in to get started. When I saw the art, tears came to my eyes. He captured what I wanted and more. I am excited to see the finished product.

Haap has never left me disappointed with a tattoo. He always puts a creative twist on the ideas you give him! You just have to trust Haap and let him do what he wants with your tattoo, and you'll always be happy with the end result! He lets you stop when your body can't take anymore and will usually be able to schedule another appointment with in a couple weeks. Love this place, but come here for Haap the other guys who work here are super cool, too
