Start: My wife and I went there to get tattoos together WITHOUT an appointment. We arrived before it opened and sat outside a waited. To our pleasant surprise, the manager (or supervisor) came out a greeted us before it opened and asked us what we were here about getting. He was extremely nice, professional, and knowledgeable. He invited us in and spoke to the artists he believed would be best suited for our tattoos. A note is that I have been back a few times and have been greeted by the manager every time. Keep in mind this is a Saturday so we were not sure we would have any work done. Thankfully two artists, Mikey and Jonathan, had appointments that did not show up and were able to come up with designs for us. Once we agreed on the design, we sat back down and waited for them to get ready. I must say the atmosphere there is extremely friendly and laid-back which always helps you feel more comfortable.
During: Getting the tattoo was a nice experience as well. Jonathan was nice enough to answer the "typical canvas" questions I am sure he has been asked a million times and my wife had nice conversation with Mikey. Other artists came around during the session as well being friendly which is always nice. That to me says people enjoy their job, when they do not have to talk to you but go out of their way to do so. To round it off, he said we were done and we were looking at the tattoo in the mirror when he saw something he wanted to add to the tattoo. So to explain just how professional this is, he had already cleaned up and still took me back again, taking out new needles and ink to add a little more detail. That speaks volumes to me for an artist. Pride in their craft for sure. The rooms and spaces were all clean and organized.
After: The enjoyable experience continued after we were done. My wife was not done so I sat and talked to a few other artists, all of which were friendly. The price was extremely fair considering the amount of small details added. We enjoyed so much that my wife and I literally booked our next appointments the same day we got these tattoos. Both our tattoos healed up nice and we will obviously be repeat costumers.

Three tattoos on three different family members - Diego did a very intricate Masonic Grand Master, cleaned up another, Effriam did a custom tatt on the wife (first time tattoo) and DJ did a custom on myself. The entire team was professional, attentive, and wanted to ensure they were producing what you wanted. All three of us gave them five stars, and a gratuity to match our appreciativeness for working on us in the unique family outing! Well done, we will absolutely spread the word, and be back!

Showd up here unscheduled for a minor touch up after being turned away at the pretentious spot next door American Tattoo Company. Who by the way did not have one single artist in the shop. Superchango did an excellent job and I was out in 30 min. Superchango also has won a ton of awards as you can see once u enter the shop. If you're considering American Tattoo Co. Highly recommend swinging by Superchango right before checking out or having any work done at American Tattoo Company. Good people, reasonable price, excellent work award winning.

That first parlor screwed it up, and it was all faded and they wanted $100 to fix his mistake. Zak, who is a great artist, recolored it for $70 and gave a year guarantee on both of ours. All the artists were friendly and relatable, and down to earth people. Plus, they were pop culture fans which I loved. Like most tattooists (?) You could tell the crew had a wild side, but it was good natured. They definitely put time into their craft. I've seen some artists get released from the penitentiary and think they are Andy Warhol when they should still be coloring. I don't know Zak's background, none of my business, but he's good. Spend your money here.

Sickened to hear that price for putting something permanent on someone that took literally maybe 10 minutes bc he didn't give a fuck.....There are good artists there just not this one, which I've heard is part owner.... which makes me giggle, how you can you be part owner and tattoo like that, charge that price and also not take criticism when I asked for someone else to tattoo me when I came in.....

terrible service, the guys there were super careless and had an attitude. they were rude and wanted to charge $150 for one small wrist tattoo. trying to make conversation with them was useless they did not care. also when we arrived it took 10 minutes for us to be helped. when we were helped we were asked "can i help you" in a rude manner. would not recommend this place at all it would be better to find another tattoo place near downtown that knows what they're doing. these guys were not educated at all seems they wanted the money instead of enjoying their craft. the drive to somewhere better will be worth it for a tattoo that will be there the rest of your life.

I also live out of state and he was able to help me book an appointment 6 months ahead of time to accommodate a planned visit. The work is absolutely beautiful, well worth the trip from Colorado and honestly I can't imagine going anywhere else ever again! One of my friends swore on their services, so I went to go get my septum pierced there. I was filling out the paperwork and they asked for my ID so I pulled it out and he took my paperwork without finishing it. He took me back and he sanitized me and put the clamp in a pierced below my cartilage instead of where it's supposed to be. He didn't even look or feel around in my nose for the correct spot. He didn't talk to me very much and didn't give me care instructions. I went home and took it out because I was bleeding so much.

I'm not sure why there are so many bad reviews...I have been going to Superchangos since 2006 and had all of my tattoos and a tongue piercing there. My first tattoo was from Dave and most recent one was from Efraim. I also had one from Chago who moved away. It is very clean, professional and they give you printed aftercare instructions. I love all of my tattoos. I trust them so much I took both of my little sisters there when they wanted to get piercings. Both of which turned out great! This is a good business that has been in the woodlands for a long time.

The artist Mike was very rude and cocky with a bad attitude had bad manners after I asked him about neon colors he said they don't have any didn't even bother trying to work with me couldn't give me a reasonable price just overall felt uncomfortable with his bad attitude poor manners and his less than unique portfolio I decided to go to another shop in Houston where they know how to be respectful to customers and have more skill. How can you have such a shit attitude and expect people to want to get anything done by you.

I was not pleased with the way we were treated. We had a group of 5 getting small tattoos. Another group of younger girls came in after us and were taken back to get theirs while we were still waiting. They don't take appointments, so we should have been taken in the order we came in. The prices were much higher than other places we have used. The need to work on their customer service! We were not allowed to go back with members of our party, but the younger girls were offered seats next to each other. This was an unpleasant experience for us, especially my nephew and sister which were getting their first ink. My niece decided not to get hers because of the poor customer service. If I could offer one piece of advice.. Don't go there.

I recently got a tattoo at Superchango. I went there despite reading the Yelp reviews which screamed they're just a bunch of rude jerks. I heard they did really good work and I wanted good work above all else. I went by the shop after work one day to check it out. I found everyone I talked to helpful and nice. I went to another local tattoo shop that I heard also did good work. I didn't find them as helpful and didn't get the same good vibe I got from superchango. I made some drawings of the tattoo I had in mind. I came back to Superchango a couple weeks later to get some help with design. The owner recommended Orlando as an artist who was very god with black and gray tattoos. Orlando worked with my ideas and put his creative spin on it. I couldn't be happier with my result. This is a tattoo that has meaning for me and I can be proud to have. Everyone was super helpful and I would highly recommend Superchango.

I came to get a Friday the 13th tattoo last December... Although it was just a Friday the 13th tattoo, the guys were just rude. They all just looked like they hated their lives and didn't want to be there. Not only that, but they didn't even ask if I had any other tattoos/knew how to take care of a tattoo. That's kind of important.. when an artists asks you that it lets you know they care about the healing process. If they wanted you to come back to their shop, they'd actually TALK to you or at least smile. I won't be returning.

I LOVE SUPERCHANGO'S!!!I have had most of my work done by one artist in Houston at a few different studios and decided I wanted to try someone else for a different style. I looked online for awhile and reviewed tons of portfolios before I picked out an artist I liked here - KR Rossi; although ALL of the artists here had impressive portfolios. I walked in on a Saturday night to see about making an appointment to draw something up and KR walked right up and we were able to plan out my cover up tattoo right then (don't expect this to always be the case - I just got lucky). If you are having something large done or drawn up expect to put down a deposit - usually $100 and half goes toward the cost of the tattoo which usually runs about $125/hr. I read some of the reviews about this place being expensive but it's actually pretty average for award winning HIGH quality work. I've never paid less than $100/hr for any of my tattoos...and that price was only after years of going to the same guy.When I went in about a week later to get started on my piece he was super professional and made sure I was comfortable. I sat for about 6 hours and during that time multiple artists came over and checked on me to make sure I was doing ok - they offered me food (in the kitchen area away from the tattoing) during some of our breaks and really went above and beyond to make sure my experience was a positive one. I was so impressed with the work KR did - he is an amazing artist and my tattoo turned out so much better than I ever imagined it would...you cannot even see the cover up! He even checked on me a week after our appt to make sure I was healing ok since I am going back to finish up the tattoo soon.Now let's be honest - it's a tattoo studio...expect some screwing around, loud music, sarcasm and fun! This is a smaller place but I never felt cramped or crowded and although some of the other people getting tattoos were ale to walk over and check out my work they put up ropes around our area so no one could come too close. Having had experiences at quite a few other studios I can honestly say this one is at the top of the pack and once I finish up my current piece I will be back for more!!!

I have VERY mixed feeling about this place.Know that the new location sucks: the building looks grungy from the outside, is extremely crowded on the inside, the parking lot has a steep incline pulling in (makes a difference for some of my car loving friends with low rides), and not very many spots to choose from.I have not gotten any ink from this establishment.Only a nose piercing.Why?They charge a ridiculous amount to, first, set an appointment and, second, for the artist to draw up a sketch. Neither are refundable, and both friends who have shown up for their tattoos at Super Chango had their artist each freehand the design right onto their bodies! Neato, I know, but why did they pay a fee to have the artist not draw anything before hand?How come the appointment fee doesn't account for that?The tattoo shops I have wondered into stay around $100 per hour. Super Chango not only gobbles up your money in fees, but also charges $120 per hour at the least!"Good tattoos aren't cheap tattoos"Yes yes,but I would rather not pay extra for their large ego.I don't feel I'm going too far saying that, either --- The times I have gone in, both as a customer and as a tag-a-long, my party has had to practically MAKE someone talk to us, though there has always been at least three guys hanging out behind the counter.The workforce has always been a little more concerned with the friends hanging out and the music playing rather than the customers they make pay to be there at a certain time.Why mixed feelings? I went to Super Chango with a friend who was getting his second tattoo. We read reviews before coming and decided to check it out for ourselves. Some of the previous reviews talk about their customer service. I have been to numerous tattoo parlors and as a rule, most tattoo shops arent going to give you the best service because they want to make sure that you are serious and not making some whim decision. Once the tattoo artists realized that we knew what we were talking about he ended up drawing up a great tattoo on the spot and did an amazing black and grey grenade on my friends ankle. While we were waiting for him to finish his tattoo another tattoo artists, Jorge, was working on a color tattoo on a girl. He did amazing color work and one of the people that were with set up an appointment to get her next tattoo done. We also had two friends get their nipples pierced and the piercer did a great job and gave great cleaning instructions. Needless to say, this was a great shop which has won numerous prestigious awards. Go to their website and judge the work for yourself.

I wanted to try this place out before the holidays because I'm traveling north for Christams and wanted to show off to my friends. I had heard that the owner was the most talented tattoo artist ever. He is for other people, but I guess he was having a bad hang over day, or his old lady was bitchy to him one too many times, but for what ever reason, he totally gave me the wrong tattoo. It was on my low back, so I couldn't see it until it was finished. The colors he used were all bad, and his wife kept telling me that it was what I wanted. WRONG! She seemed really nice, but I guess that they can't tell the difference between a bird and a dragon because what he gave me looked like a huge dead lizard, not the phoenix bird that I had ordered. Now I'm looking for a tatto removal joint. They wouldn't even reimburse me for their blunder. Not a place I'd recommend.

Place is clean, new location sucks, over priced and they're rude.Do your research, make the drive into Houston and get the total experience. There are so many Tattoo Studio selections and amazing local artists it would be a shame to waste your experience at this place. The atmosphere has changed since the move. The owner actually rushed my artist to finish the Tattoo so he could lock up. I've personally referred friends to this location and they all report adequate service. Which is great at being mediocre. The employees are loud and mouthy and ignore clients and lack the motivation/desire to listen and design a custom piece. Quality work, manic-ego, client service deficient.

Superchango Studio has been The Woodlands Texas premier Tattoo and Body Piercing Studio since 2003. Since opening our doors we have grown from 900 sq ft building to now over 3000 sq ft. We have Excellent reports from TXDL. We double sterilize all our equipment and pride ourselves on the cleanliness and organization of our shop. Our artists are well rounded with much experience and award winning. We have traveled to many Tattoo convention both US and Internationally collecting art and learning from some of the best names in our industry. I realize that we can not please everyone, even though I believe that our staff does try, it is hard to meet everyones needs and expectations that walks thru the door. I ask that you take into consideration when reading reviews from public sights that there are 2 sides to every story. Iif the situation is real then as the owner I would like the oppertunity to rectify it instead of having slander posted about my shop and it's employees. We have a Facebook account with up to date reviews and posts from our customers. If you want to do your homework about us let me suggest our Facebook page and our website for artist profiles and pictures of their work which speaks for itself. I believe the best way to pick a studio is based on the art that comes from it, the care and pride of ownership and Yes, customer service. Thanks for your time.

My husband & I were there this past Friday night and we both got tattoos from 2 of the artists there. We felt that the customer service was fantastic! We walked in around 8 without an appointment and we expected that we would need to make an appointment for a later day. That has always been the case with other shops that we have been to. But we were told that they could do them right then. One of the artists also offered some great artistic advice and recommendations for fixing some older tattoos that we have that are less than stellar artwork. So, we will definately be going back! The artists were professional and we felt like their work was all amazing! We researched tattoo shops around Houston for a long time before getting these tattoos and were very pleased with our results!

Juan has fixed two of my tattoos (that i mistakingly got from other tattoo shops when i was younger) and also gave me a beautiful ankle piece. He is a perfectionist and a true artist. I have refered numerous people to Super Changos and everyone absolutely loves them!!! Thank you guys for bringing your unique talents to this town!!!

Superchango, while appearing to be a professional tattoo studio lacks much in customer service. I've received three tattoos from two artists there; however, I have been stood up on appointments/reservations three times as well. Once, I showed up for an appointment, and the artists said, ""Oh, man! Sorry. I forgot all about you."" He stayed to do the work. The work was good. The artist does have talent. However, when I showed up for another appointment (made well in advance), the same artist was in the middle of tattooing someone else, did not recognize me from our previous tattoo session, and said--once again--""Oh, man! Sorry. I forgot about you. Can you come back some time next week?"" This really isn't something one wants to hear, especially when this person is supposed to be a professional and who is doing some very personal work for his clients. The last time I went there, I had made an appointment with a different artist. I cut out of work the second I could, battled traffic, and got there just as soon as I could to get started (just like the artists had suggested I do). When I entered the shop, my tattoo artists was nowhere in sight. When I asked where he was, the other artists just said that he went out the night before and was just too hung-over to come in and to tattoo. To me, this just seems irresponsible. I guess that the work that comes out of that shop is pretty good, but the business end of the shop leaves A LOT TO BE DESIRED! These guys give decent tattoos. They just act as if they have achieved some sort of celebrity status. Not quite. Not yet.

I decided to get my first tattoo and after visiting a few local studios I decided that Super Chango was the perfect place for me to get my FIRST tat! It's a little hidden off of I-45 but definately worth driving slow on the feeder to make sure you don't miss it. I was a little nervous about the pain since it was my first time but the guys there were SO great and friendly, they joked with me and definately made me comfortable. They have their own art that you can pick from and they do custom work as well, I picked an existing piece of art and told my artist (Spiero) to make it a little more detailed and it is BEAUTIFUL! The shop is clean, the staff are attentive and it's not loud like some shops are. I will definately be going back to them for any other tattoos that I have done, and I tell all my friends to go to them! - Hopefully this helps- - I got a Sparrow (bird) on my left lower hip - It has three colors ( not including black) - The wings are very detailed and there is a lot of shading - It's a little bigger than a bar of soap - Took about an hour to hour and fifteen mins - $120 (lower than the original estimate) plus tip, definately worth the money! - Everyone who sees it loves it and a few people are really jealous that it's better than tat's they've gotten other places!

Start: My wife and I went there to get tattoos together WITHOUT an appointment. We arrived before it opened and sat outside a waited. To our pleasant surprise, the manager (or supervisor) came out a greeted us before it opened and asked us what we were here about getting. He was extremely nice, professional, and knowledgeable. He invited us in and spoke to the artists he believed would be best suited for our tattoos. A note is that I have been back a few times and have been greeted by the manager every time. Keep in mind this is a Saturday so we were not sure we would have any work done. Thankfully two artists, Mikey and Jonathan, had appointments that did not show up and were able to come up with designs for us. Once we agreed on the design, we sat back down and waited for them to get ready. I must say the atmosphere there is extremely friendly and laid-back which always helps you feel more comfortable.
During: Getting the tattoo was a nice experience as well. Jonathan was nice enough to answer the "typical canvas" questions I am sure he has been asked a million times and my wife had nice conversation with Mikey. Other artists came around during the session as well being friendly which is always nice. That to me says people enjoy their job, when they do not have to talk to you but go out of their way to do so. To round it off, he said we were done and we were looking at the tattoo in the mirror when he saw something he wanted to add to the tattoo. So to explain just how professional this is, he had already cleaned up and still took me back again, taking out new needles and ink to add a little more detail. That speaks volumes to me for an artist. Pride in their craft for sure. The rooms and spaces were all clean and organized.
After: The enjoyable experience continued after we were done. My wife was not done so I sat and talked to a few other artists, all of which were friendly. The price was extremely fair considering the amount of small details added. We enjoyed so much that my wife and I literally booked our next appointments the same day we got these tattoos. Both our tattoos healed up nice and we will obviously be repeat costumers.

Showd up here unscheduled for a minor touch up after being turned away at the pretentious spot next door American Tattoo Company. Who by the way did not have one single artist in the shop. Superchango did an excellent job and I was out in 30 min. Superchango also has won a ton of awards as you can see once u enter the shop. If you're considering American Tattoo Co. Highly recommend swinging by Superchango right before checking out or having any work done at American Tattoo Company. Good people, reasonable price, excellent work award winning.

That first parlor screwed it up, and it was all faded and they wanted $100 to fix his mistake. Zak, who is a great artist, recolored it for $70 and gave a year guarantee on both of ours. All the artists were friendly and relatable, and down to earth people. Plus, they were pop culture fans which I loved. Like most tattooists (?) You could tell the crew had a wild side, but it was good natured. They definitely put time into their craft. I've seen some artists get released from the penitentiary and think they are Andy Warhol when they should still be coloring. I don't know Zak's background, none of my business, but he's good. Spend your money here.

Sickened to hear that price for putting something permanent on someone that took literally maybe 10 minutes bc he didn't give a fuck.....There are good artists there just not this one, which I've heard is part owner.... which makes me giggle, how you can you be part owner and tattoo like that, charge that price and also not take criticism when I asked for someone else to tattoo me when I came in.....

terrible service, the guys there were super careless and had an attitude. they were rude and wanted to charge $150 for one small wrist tattoo. trying to make conversation with them was useless they did not care. also when we arrived it took 10 minutes for us to be helped. when we were helped we were asked "can i help you" in a rude manner. would not recommend this place at all it would be better to find another tattoo place near downtown that knows what they're doing. these guys were not educated at all seems they wanted the money instead of enjoying their craft. the drive to somewhere better will be worth it for a tattoo that will be there the rest of your life.

This shop is phenomenal! Juan did such an amazing job working with me on a cover up that had laser removal done as well that made the area hyper sensitive. I also live out of state and he was able to help me book an appointment 6 months ahead of time to accommodate a planned visit. The work is absolutely beautiful, well worth the trip from Colorado and honestly I can't imagine going anywhere else ever again! I gave them 5 stars because that is the max allowed otherwise I would have given them more! Thank you Superchango! ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆

One of my friends swore on their services, so I went to go get my septum pierced there. I was filling out the paperwork and they asked for my ID so I pulled it out and he took my paperwork without finishing it. He took me back and he sanitized me and put the clamp in a pierced below my cartilage instead of where it's supposed to be. He didn't even look or feel around in my nose for the correct spot. He didn't talk to me very much and didn't give me care instructions. I went home and took it out because I was bleeding so much.

I'm not sure why there are so many bad reviews...I have been going to Superchangos since 2006 and had all of my tattoos and a tongue piercing there. My first tattoo was from Dave and most recent one was from Efraim. I also had one from Chago who moved away. It is very clean, professional and they give you printed aftercare instructions. I love all of my tattoos. I trust them so much I took both of my little sisters there when they wanted to get piercings. Both of which turned out great! This is a good business that has been in the woodlands for a long time.

The artist Mike was very rude and cocky with a bad attitude had bad manners after I asked him about neon colors he said they don't have any didn't even bother trying to work with me couldn't give me a reasonable price just overall felt uncomfortable with his bad attitude poor manners and his less than unique portfolio I decided to go to another shop in Houston where they know how to be respectful to customers and have more skill. How can you have such a shit attitude and expect people to want to get anything done by you.

I was not pleased with the way we were treated. We had a group of 5 getting small tattoos. Another group of younger girls came in after us and were taken back to get theirs while we were still waiting. They don't take appointments, so we should have been taken in the order we came in. The prices were much higher than other places we have used. The need to work on their customer service! We were not allowed to go back with members of our party, but the younger girls were offered seats next to each other. This was an unpleasant experience for us, especially my nephew and sister which were getting their first ink. My niece decided not to get hers because of the poor customer service. If I could offer one piece of advice.. Don't go there.

I recently got a tattoo at Superchango. I went there despite reading the Yelp reviews which screamed they're just a bunch of rude jerks. I heard they did really good work and I wanted good work above all else. I went by the shop after work one day to check it out. I found everyone I talked to helpful and nice. I went to another local tattoo shop that I heard also did good work. I didn't find them as helpful and didn't get the same good vibe I got from superchango. I made some drawings of the tattoo I had in mind. I came back to Superchango a couple weeks later to get some help with design. The owner recommended Orlando as an artist who was very god with black and gray tattoos. Orlando worked with my ideas and put his creative spin on it. I couldn't be happier with my result. This is a tattoo that has meaning for me and I can be proud to have. Everyone was super helpful and I would highly recommend Superchango.

I came to get a Friday the 13th tattoo last December... Although it was just a Friday the 13th tattoo, the guys were just rude. They all just looked like they hated their lives and didn't want to be there. Not only that, but they didn't even ask if I had any other tattoos/knew how to take care of a tattoo. That's kind of important.. when an artists asks you that it lets you know they care about the healing process. If they wanted you to come back to their shop, they'd actually TALK to you or at least smile. I won't be returning.

I LOVE SUPERCHANGO'S!!!I have had most of my work done by one artist in Houston at a few different studios and decided I wanted to try someone else for a different style. I looked online for awhile and reviewed tons of portfolios before I picked out an artist I liked here - KR Rossi; although ALL of the artists here had impressive portfolios. I walked in on a Saturday night to see about making an appointment to draw something up and KR walked right up and we were able to plan out my cover up tattoo right then (don't expect this to always be the case - I just got lucky). If you are having something large done or drawn up expect to put down a deposit - usually $100 and half goes toward the cost of the tattoo which usually runs about $125/hr. I read some of the reviews about this place being expensive but it's actually pretty average for award winning HIGH quality work. I've never paid less than $100/hr for any of my tattoos...and that price was only after years of going to the same guy.When I went in about a week later to get started on my piece he was super professional and made sure I was comfortable. I sat for about 6 hours and during that time multiple artists came over and checked on me to make sure I was doing ok - they offered me food (in the kitchen area away from the tattoing) during some of our breaks and really went above and beyond to make sure my experience was a positive one. I was so impressed with the work KR did - he is an amazing artist and my tattoo turned out so much better than I ever imagined it would...you cannot even see the cover up! He even checked on me a week after our appt to make sure I was healing ok since I am going back to finish up the tattoo soon.Now let's be honest - it's a tattoo studio...expect some screwing around, loud music, sarcasm and fun! This is a smaller place but I never felt cramped or crowded and although some of the other people getting tattoos were ale to walk over and check out my work they put up ropes around our area so no one could come too close. Having had experiences at quite a few other studios I can honestly say this one is at the top of the pack and once I finish up my current piece I will be back for more!!!

I have VERY mixed feeling about this place.Know that the new location sucks: the building looks grungy from the outside, is extremely crowded on the inside, the parking lot has a steep incline pulling in (makes a difference for some of my car loving friends with low rides), and not very many spots to choose from.I have not gotten any ink from this establishment.Only a nose piercing.Why?They charge a ridiculous amount to, first, set an appointment and, second, for the artist to draw up a sketch. Neither are refundable, and both friends who have shown up for their tattoos at Super Chango had their artist each freehand the design right onto their bodies! Neato, I know, but why did they pay a fee to have the artist not draw anything before hand?How come the appointment fee doesn't account for that?The tattoo shops I have wondered into stay around $100 per hour. Super Chango not only gobbles up your money in fees, but also charges $120 per hour at the least!"Good tattoos aren't cheap tattoos"Yes yes,but I would rather not pay extra for their large ego.I don't feel I'm going too far saying that, either --- The times I have gone in, both as a customer and as a tag-a-long, my party has had to practically MAKE someone talk to us, though there has always been at least three guys hanging out behind the counter.The workforce has always been a little more concerned with the friends hanging out and the music playing rather than the customers they make pay to be there at a certain time.Why mixed feelings? I went to Super Chango with a friend who was getting his second tattoo. We read reviews before coming and decided to check it out for ourselves. Some of the previous reviews talk about their customer service. I have been to numerous tattoo parlors and as a rule, most tattoo shops arent going to give you the best service because they want to make sure that you are serious and not making some whim decision. Once the tattoo artists realized that we knew what we were talking about he ended up drawing up a great tattoo on the spot and did an amazing black and grey grenade on my friends ankle. While we were waiting for him to finish his tattoo another tattoo artists, Jorge, was working on a color tattoo on a girl. He did amazing color work and one of the people that were with set up an appointment to get her next tattoo done. We also had two friends get their nipples pierced and the piercer did a great job and gave great cleaning instructions. Needless to say, this was a great shop which has won numerous prestigious awards. Go to their website and judge the work for yourself.

He is for other people, but I guess he was having a bad hang over day, or his old lady was bitchy to him one too many times, but for what ever reason, he totally gave me the wrong tattoo. It was on my low back, so I couldn't see it until it was finished. The colors he used were all bad, and his wife kept telling me that it was what I wanted. WRONG! She seemed really nice, but I guess that they can't tell the difference between a bird and a dragon because what he gave me looked like a huge dead lizard, not the phoenix bird that I had ordered. Now I'm looking for a tatto removal joint. They wouldn't even reimburse me for their blunder. Not a place I'd recommend.

There are so many Tattoo Studio selections and amazing local artists it would be a shame to waste your experience at this place. The atmosphere has changed since the move. The owner actually rushed my artist to finish the Tattoo so he could lock up. I've personally referred friends to this location and they all report adequate service. Which is great at being mediocre. The employees are loud and mouthy and ignore clients and lack the motivation/desire to listen and design a custom piece. Quality work, manic-ego, client service deficient.

We have Excellent reports from TXDL. We double sterilize all our equipment and pride ourselves on the cleanliness and organization of our shop. Our artists are well rounded with much experience and award winning. We have traveled to many Tattoo convention both US and Internationally collecting art and learning from some of the best names in our industry. I realize that we can not please everyone, even though I believe that our staff does try, it is hard to meet everyones needs and expectations that walks thru the door. I ask that you take into consideration when reading reviews from public sights that there are 2 sides to every story. Iif the situation is real then as the owner I would like the oppertunity to rectify it instead of having slander posted about my shop and it's employees. We have a Facebook account with up to date reviews and posts from our customers. If you want to do your homework about us let me suggest our Facebook page and our website for artist profiles and pictures of their work which speaks for itself. I believe the best way to pick a studio is based on the art that comes from it, the care and pride of ownership and Yes, customer service. Thanks for your time.

My husband & I were there this past Friday night and we both got tattoos from 2 of the artists there. We felt that the customer service was fantastic! We walked in around 8 without an appointment and we expected that we would need to make an appointment for a later day. That has always been the case with other shops that we have been to. But we were told that they could do them right then. One of the artists also offered some great artistic advice and recommendations for fixing some older tattoos that we have that are less than stellar artwork. So, we will definately be going back! The artists were professional and we felt like their work was all amazing! We researched tattoo shops around Houston for a long time before getting these tattoos and were very pleased with our results!

Juan has fixed two of my tattoos (that i mistakingly got from other tattoo shops when i was younger) and also gave me a beautiful ankle piece. He is a perfectionist and a true artist. I have refered numerous people to Super Changos and everyone absolutely loves them!!! Thank you guys for bringing your unique talents to this town!!!

Superchango, while appearing to be a professional tattoo studio lacks much in customer service. I've received three tattoos from two artists there; however, I have been stood up on appointments/reservations three times as well. Once, I showed up for an appointment, and the artists said, ""Oh, man! Sorry. I forgot all about you."" He stayed to do the work. The work was good. The artist does have talent. However, when I showed up for another appointment (made well in advance), the same artist was in the middle of tattooing someone else, did not recognize me from our previous tattoo session, and said--once again--""Oh, man! Sorry. I forgot about you. Can you come back some time next week?"" This really isn't something one wants to hear, especially when this person is supposed to be a professional and who is doing some very personal work for his clients. The last time I went there, I had made an appointment with a different artist. I cut out of work the second I could, battled traffic, and got there just as soon as I could to get started (just like the artists had suggested I do). When I entered the shop, my tattoo artists was nowhere in sight. When I asked where he was, the other artists just said that he went out the night before and was just too hung-over to come in and to tattoo. To me, this just seems irresponsible. I guess that the work that comes out of that shop is pretty good, but the business end of the shop leaves A LOT TO BE DESIRED! These guys give decent tattoos. They just act as if they have achieved some sort of celebrity status. Not quite. Not yet.

I decided to get my first tattoo and after visiting a few local studios I decided that Super Chango was the perfect place for me to get my FIRST tat! It's a little hidden off of I-45 but definately worth driving slow on the feeder to make sure you don't miss it. I was a little nervous about the pain since it was my first time but the guys there were SO great and friendly, they joked with me and definately made me comfortable. They have their own art that you can pick from and they do custom work as well, I picked an existing piece of art and told my artist (Spiero) to make it a little more detailed and it is BEAUTIFUL! The shop is clean, the staff are attentive and it's not loud like some shops are. I will definately be going back to them for any other tattoos that I have done, and I tell all my friends to go to them! - Hopefully this helps- - I got a Sparrow (bird) on my left lower hip - It has three colors ( not including black) - The wings are very detailed and there is a lot of shading - It's a little bigger than a bar of soap - Took about an hour to hour and fifteen mins - $120 (lower than the original estimate) plus tip, definately worth the money! - Everyone who sees it loves it and a few people are really jealous that it's better than tat's they've gotten other places!
