The place is very clean but I got my nipples pierced and they are very crooked and I lost the receipt so i cant get a refund. I was very insecure about it for a while :( I still sometimes get self conscious about it being so crooked and the man piercing them was very rude and did not care whatsoever. Showd up here unscheduled for a minor touch up. Was not one single artist in the shop. Spoke with extremely rude jerk at front desk ( something others on here have also noted) - who explained I needed to make an appointment. I had inquired with him About how toGo about making an appointment and he had in return notified me that his guys were booked up. After speaking with the guy at the front desk for a few minutes it became clear that he wasn't interested in helping me out or in providing me a service. So I bounced and went right next door to Superchango tattoo and they were friendly, accommodating and took care of business. They did an excellent job and I was out in 30 min. Superchango also has won a ton of awards as you can see once uInter the shop. We stopped by American Tattoo Company right after lunch. A friendly guy greeted us when we walked in. I showed him what I wanted and he went to the back to grab an artist. Dominic took the time to listen to what I wanted. I showed him pics on my phone and he went to the back to draw them up, he shrunk it down as small as he could, but it was still too big for where I wanted the tattoo. He explained that with the water color like I wanted, it needed to be bigger or it wouldn't look right. I really had my mind set on getting the tattoo on my forearm and the drawing would wrap around my arm, so I asked if it was ok to change my tattoo. He was very friendly and didn't mind at all. I apologized for all his hard work he did creating the drawing for me and again he said it's no problem, and how it's part of the job. He went to the back again to draw up my new design. I asked for 2 humming bird silhouettes, flying in opposite directions. I wanted the wings to be faded color to look like they were flapping fast while hovering. I showed an example pic. Over all I'm very pleased with my experience with Dominic. I'm extremely happy with my tattoo. While I was in there the first artist desk area was doing a really cool design on a woman's back. Another guy was there and the artist all the way to the back of the room designed a very important piece for a Marine. He worked and worked until his client was happy with every detail. His tattoo turned out great. All black, thin letters. I liked that they didn't push sales for their tattoo ointment. he mentioned a few different ointments and I had auqifer already so I chose to use that. Followed the directions on the paper they sent me home with. Overall rating: 5 stars for cleanliness, staff friendliness, helpfulness, willing to work with me after I changed my mind. Went there with my 18 yr old sister on two occasions to get her pierced. I'd like to say that the ladies at the desk were amazing and so patient with the two teenagers I had with me. The piercer however was completely unprofessional, rushing, and cold towards this person trusting him to stick a needle through her skin. He didn't talk to her about ANYTHING, didn't ask her if where he marked was okay, and made sarcastic remarks when she asked me if it looked okay. He was SO rude and the sole reason I, nor anyone I know, will return for a piercing. Everyone else seemed very pleasant but he was rude, condescending, and unprofessional beyond belief. I went here today initially to get 4 tattoos done but when i was told the prices for them i decided to only get one done. The work itself was good except when I'm paying $150 for a small tattoo and the guy spends over 20 minutes talking to some guy that walked in the middle of my tattoo that's kinda rude at least work while you talk. I don't know if this tattoo artist charges to redraw tattoos or not but if he does then I got ripped off because it looked like he traced my drawing and simply added on 2 small ribbons. One of the tattoos i wanted to get was for my back and he quoted me $350, i went to a different tattoo shop (that has a better atmosphere) and was quoted $200 and was told that he could use the piece i drew, the guy at American tattoo company said that they have to redraw everything. I took my daughter her to get her ears pierced and the experience was great. Couldn’t have expected more. The shop was very clean, everything was very sterile and the gentleman doing the piercing was very patient with us. He took his time to explain the process, what it was going to feel like and how to clean and care for her pierced ears afterward. He carefully marked the piercings and made sure the locations were good with her and he was very quick in doing the actual piercings which minimized the pain. Couldn’t be more pleased with the experience and highly recommend this shop to anyone else looking for a place for piercings! 100% better experience and much more sterile environment than a mall shop! Tattoo #4 from Mike is another home run. Mike is very candid and gives me good advice about size, placement etc. He truly wants the tattoo to look its best. This time, he put amazing detail into a small piece. The results are awesome. Very professional and a nice clean shop. Reasonable prices. I will definitely go back again. This place rocks! I came here Memorial Day to take my little sister to get her nose pierced. My mother had to come as well of course and sign off on some things. Although he was the only employee in at the time, Hector did make it a point to stop what he was doing to acknowledge and help us. The process was quick and easy; he was extremely helpful and answered all of our questions. We had to come back exactly a week later because she accidentally ripped out her nose ring. The woman at the front counter/desk was super sweet, caring and very helpful also. The charge to put it back in was only $5; it was quick and easy once again. Hector made it stress-free and practically painless. I haven't gotten a tattoo here, but if I do decide to get another one, I would definitely consider coming here. I came out yesterday to get my septum piercing, and I was so pleased with this shop (in terms of piercing). I've never been tattooed here, but I loved the customer service and kindness I received during my visit!My friend and I came in about 1.5 hours before closing on a Sunday. It was not busy at all (which was nice), so we didn't have to wait any time. Right away we were helped by a friendly fella, and he got us checked in and ready for the piercings! I got my septum pierced and my friend got her tragus pierced. It was both done by Lawler. He was a really cool dude, and me my laugh a lot which helped my anxiety that I had before the piercing. He was quick and effortless with the piercing. VERY smooth. We were both done in about 15 minutes. I can't say enough how pleased we were with the level of service and kindness. Tattoo & piercing shops can treat people (especially ladies) like assholes, but they didn't do that here. Very kind! I would def recommend.Shop was really clean and approachable.
