Solid place. Came in last Thursday with a friend to get a couple of tattoos. The guy that helped us out (didn't catch his name, but he did mention that he's only been there about 3-4 months) was professional and very focused on both of our tattoos. He took his time drawing them out beforehand to make sure they were on point. Everyone in the shop was super friendly. We're both really happy with the way they turned out!! I loved my experience here. I had something embarrassing I needed covered, Alex never made me feel uncomfortable about it. I put down a deposit online after requesting an appointment on Yelp. When I came in, he traced my hand and tattoo, & said give me a couple minutes to draw this out. He asked what kind of colors I like. He asked what orientation I'd like the flower to be. He asked as many questions as possible, which I really thought was kind. I went to the ATM while he drew, it's cash only. (If you have wells Fargo there's a drive - up ATM half a block away) I came back, he was still drawing so I looked around at the artwork. It's very American, colorful and bold. I loved it. When he was ready, we got started. He was talkative and nice. He took a couple of breaks in between which was nice because it was very painful. A cover up tattoo will always hurt more. Plus, it's my hand. Solid 10 on the pain scale. Altogether it took about 1.5 hours. The color is totally more than I ever imagined. I can't imagine a life without art, and color. He brought that to life on my hand! When he was done, I was so happy. He made sure to stick to my budget, he has to be the nicest tattoo artist I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. The shop is superrr small but all of the people that work there are very cool and relaxed. On one of our spontaneous trips my wife and I decided to get tattoos and we chose this place. My mother in law decided to get a tattoo as well with us. We were just walk ins and they made time for my mother in law then, and then we came back in a few hours to get mine and my wife's done. I think her name was Jackie she did all three of ours it was my first one and she was very patient with me. Only gave it four stars just because now that it's healed the lines look a little bumpy but it's honestly not a big deal only when you sit there and stare at it do you realize. Electric Panther is the best shop in the Austin/SA area if you are looking for a badass traditional tattoo! Alex Kass is basically the rainman of tattooing. For real though, I've gotten both knees, arms and shoulder tats from Alex and he is quick, talented, and stays within your budget. There is a reason I haul my ass down from Austin! I went into Electric Panther Tattoo today and got 2 amazing tattoos. I was tattooed by Alex Kass and he did an excellent job as I expected. I love my tattoos! The only thing I regret is not getting them sooner. I was originally scheduled around May for the tattoos but I had to put it off because of things coming up in my schedule. Had an absolutely wonderful experience today. Not a huge tattoo but it was taken seriously and turned out great. Was able to walk in and out in under an hour, with no appointment. Bring cash! I didn't know it was cash only but even so there's an ATM right across the street.
