This place is a heaven sent! Very clean and well presented. I love the layout of their work space and all the artwork they have on the walls.I went for a more unusual visit-- I needed help with some piercings that were swallowing my jewelry and causing me a lot of discomfort. I read several reviews before coming to Buddha Box raving about the Lead Piercer, Derek. Now I understand why! He was such an angel! My boyfriend and I arrived just as they opened and were greeted very pleasantly. I was in quite a deal of pain and Derek was very reassuring and sympathetic. We enjoyed talking with him and appreciate how comfortable he was able to make us feel. He fixed me up pretty quickly and gave me some tips about how to help my piercing sites heal. My friend and I came in randomly to get pierced. It was just gonna be me getting my nostril done but she decided to get her septum pierced. Derrick greeted us and had us fill out the paperwork and asked us which jewelry we wanted to pick. My friend wanted something dainty so he gave her a few extra options and said that the new small ones had just come in and they would take some time to disinfect. So, we went ahead and did my nostril. I've had that side pierced 2x before, but this was the quickest and most painless piercing I've ever had. Derrick was quick and very knowledgeable. We decided to come back later when my friends septum jewelry was done being cleaned. Derrick gave us his business card and just told us to call when we wanted to come back. We headed back about 40 minutes later, called and by the time we got there everything was ready and set up. My friend said her septum barely hurt. She absolutely loves her piercing and so do I! Got my seconds on my ears pierced for $100 with nice studs that i wore until they healed. The $25 special (per ear) is some ugly space grey hoops that i was not a fan of. The guy who pierced my ears made me feel very comfortable and was very knowledgeable about piercings and how they would look when they were done and the healing process. Stopped by for a consultation with my 6 year old daughter because she wanted to get her ears pierced. Everyone was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. Went in today to get a daith piercing from Derek. I've been interested in a while due to the stories of it helping with migraine relief. My migraines had gotten so bad (2-3/week) that I couldn't take it anymore. So I scheduled an appointment yesterday but was couple of minutes late (week before Christmas traffic is no joke). When I arrived the receptionist was very welcoming, she had my paperwork all ready and explained the costs to me. Derek came from the piercing room and greeted me! He checked the area I wanted pierced and brought out his jewelry recommendation (a circular barbell). Initially coming to the appointment, I was very nervous but the friendliness of the staff and Derek eased me. Derek was very thorough in explaining the aftercare for the piercing to me and even said if I had any questions it concerns I could contact him directly. I came in to get my daith pierced. Derek told me he couldn't pierce my ear because of how unique my ear is. He drew me a picture of my ear and how the daith works for migraines (my reason for the piercing) he explained to me that because of my uniqueness, the pressure points the piercing needed to hit, wouldn't be hit therefore the piercing wouldn't benefit me.
