I came in on a Sunday. The guy asked how he could help us. So, I told him I just needed a tiny thing on my hand. He then immediately asked, "are you a tattoo artist!?" I was literally going to see if he could fill in a faded heart a centimeter tall, and a centimeter wide with red. He didn't even ask what it was, or tell me to make an appointment. Sometimes when the place is real busy (it was not) they'll just tell you to make an appointment, which is fine. But I guess that's too complicated of a project for this shitty "artist". I've never been to a tattoo shop where the artist was that dismissive and rude without even knowing what I actually wanted. It was the middle of the day. I wasn't drunk, or anything that might warrant that reaction. I simply answered the question that he asked. Avoid, unless you enjoy being condescended to and talked down to by a prima donna who acts like he is doing you a favor, and doesn't seem to realize a tattoo shop is a business. These people don't seem to realize that the same people testing the waters at a particular shop with something small today, are the same people that will walk in for something more complex another day. Very unprofessional experienceI stopped there with three or four options for a small tattoo, so I just wanted to ask about pricing like they suggest on their page. But one of the small, tattooed, full-beard artist just looked at me like I am stupid to even ask about it, he did not even explain why he won't make the tattoo smaller, he just laughted everytime I asked or showed him the picture, so he barely answered to me, he has not even suggested a better option, has not explained anything, just laughted and kept saying "no" with every picture I showed him.(maybe he just does not know how to do his job properly? Even in Europe they know how to make a smaller tattoo and all without acting like I am a little sh** asking for pricing;-). I left that place with one thought - never coming back thanks to this guy. First tattoo shop I've been to since moving to Texas, checked out several shops in the round rock area and Good times has the best atmosphere. I want to say coming in today and getting my first tattoo wasn’t the best experience. Working with several clients a day, I always aim to be nice by meeting their needs and make sure they know everything will be taken care of. The gentlemen that came up was a little rude and seemed like he didn’t care about my tattoo. Then comes Mike P! Absolutely the opposite of the man that came up to my friend and I. You can be the best artist but not having a better attitude nor common courtesy towards customers play a big factor on you as an individual within the business. I went on Friday the 13th, it was packed! They had a $13 tattoo special (you had to choose from a set list of like 20 different ones) I got an Anchor on my Ankle with the number 13. I waited about 30 mins they got about 15 people done in that wait time. I was only on the table for about 15 mins getting my tat and I was done. I love getting tattoos! His line work is amazing, very cool guy great conversation when I wasn’t wincing at the pain in certain areas, even tho I have many tattoos. But his work is beautifully done. I I would highly recommend Steve. He did a cover up for me and it came out beautiful. You can't even see what was there before and I've had more compliments on this tattoo and the best part about it is it's a cover-up. I originally found Steve Goodspeed when I randomly walked into a shop while visiting San Diego. His work was so good and precise that I got compliments on it everywhere I went. Interestingly, it was especially other folks with tattoos who knew their stuff that were super impressed. So when I went back, I wanted him to do another but they'd told me he left. I was bummed but managed to find him online at this shop and was psyched cause I knew I'd be in Austin a couple weeks later. Sure enough, my newest tattoo from Steve is everything I had in my mind but he put into art. And I get just as many compliments on it. Steve was amazing and honestly, Johnny was awesome too with cracking jokes and making the whole place super comfortable and welcoming (which we all know, not every shop is). Overall a great experience. I walked in the day before with a semi good idea. I let Steve take it and run with his artistic creativity. I am extremely happy with the results and have gotten tons of compliments. The price was great too. The atmosphere in general is extremely chill. Let me start by saying, you will not be disappointed by this shop.  I went in with a drawing (and honestly my artist laughed at it... I am happy he was open, honest and steered me in a much better direction) and made an appointment to come back and get the thing applied.  My words of advice-know what you want before you go, it will help them out.  Let them lead you with your idea, they do this every day and can give some great advice.  They are super friendly, they care about their work and most importantly they are passionate about their job and their work.  I would venture to guess that each and every employee there LOVES their job.  They are not  just a studio, they are a family.  They genuinely care for one another, they are not scared to ask an opinion of one another and they are open, honest, courteous and careful about what they do.  Their job is to create a lasting image on your personal space and to do it as efficiently and effectively as possible.  They do exactly that.  EXACTLY.  They are artists and friends.  I would recommend any artist there to any of my friends.  They will be up front about what they can and cannot put on your body.
