I had went to get a double helix piercing after hearing plenty of great review about this place, but now I just wasted $100 as well as a piercing I am unhappy with. First off, when my friend and I walked in, the girl in the front seemed to be completely new and oblivious to what was going on. She gave us the wrong prices and seemed like she had no idea what was going on. Thankfully, another girl told her the right prices and and that was settled. Sean was our piercer. I had read up about the place before going, and Sean had a lot of great recommendations, so I was relieved at first. When we walked into the room, my friend got her helix piercing first. She showed him a picture of where she wanted it, and he looked at it for a millisecond before saying, “great. that’ll be easy.” After getting her piercing, it was WAY too high. She had asked to get it repierced because the placement was way too off. For mine, I got a double helix, in which I asked for a stud on top and a ring on the bottom. I had repeated the order multiple times (seeing that he messed up on my friends) as well as telling him the EXACT location of where I wanted it. Even before piercing it, he had asked me once more which I wanted on top and which I wanted on the bottom. After examining it in the mirror, it was too low, the order was incorrect, and he pierced me in a spot I never wanted, making my ear hurt 10x more than it should of. (He pierced me right next to the anithelix) I took out the stud after a few weeks because it was hurting way too much and the back of my ear was swollen because the back of the stud dug too much into my skin. Now I have to wait a few more months before getting the piercing I want again and I wasted $100+ for a piercing I never asked for. On a side note, Sean was nice throughout the process and the shop was very clean as the reviews suggest. I am just very disappointed in the way our visit went and wished it could have gone better. Rianne is the bomb! She did a tattoo behind my ear on Thursday, and I have hardly known it was there since. The colors and the shading came out exactly how I wanted, her line work is clean, she's fun to talk to, and she went out of her way to make sure the tattoo I wanted was going to be placed correctly, even if it wasn't how I initially imagined. This place is a gem! I went in about 6 months ago for a bee tattoo on my forearm and I'm pretty sure it was the best tattoo experience I've had. I have 3 other tattoos, and as far as quality goes, my bee is by far the one with the cleanest lines and closest attention to detail. The vibes are chill and the price point is comparable to other places in the area. The shop is clean, staff is friendly and my artist (I believe it was Hector) was clearly there because tattooing is more than a job for him, it's a passion. I doubt the other artists there feel much differently!I'm glad my roommate recommended this place, I wasn't disappointed. Now I can officially say that I won't be going anywhere else in the Austin area. But don't take my word for it, check it out yourself! My wife was having problems with a piercing that they did about six months ago due to no fault of Golden Goat. We walked in and ten minutes later walked out with it fixed at no charge. I took my daughter here for a tattoo as well and she said that the tattoo artist had the lightest touch with the needle that she had ever felt. It looked great as well. Read Less

Took my 6 year old to get her ears pierced for her birthday last month and I was very happy with our experience. Shop was clean and they treated my daughter exceptionally well and with respect. The one who pireced her was very laid back, gentle, explained each step along the way, and boosted her up for doing a great job! Rianne was very sweet and showed us a great variety of beautiful earrings to choose from! The price to pierce was a bit surprising, but was worth it for our daughter! Definitely recommend them! Yesterday I decided to get a tattoo and with some searching in Round Rock I wasn't having much luck with finding a place with reasonable pricing. I came across Golden Goat tattoo went inside and spoke with Hector and was very pleased with how clean the place is and how reasonable his pricing was. I came back the next day bright and early. I got my tattoo done by Hector and he was awesome and friendly. The only bad thing I would say is I got there 15 minutes before the place opened up at 12:00pm and I was the first customer. My tattoo didn't get started until 1:10pm. To many people was coming in and Hector was the only one there for about 35 minutes. That's why I gave 4 stars, but I guess it's my own fault next time I will schedule an appointment. Awesome place and people. I will be back Read Less

My experience was a negative 20 the only reason there is one star is because it would not let me post without clicking one. I went to Shaun for a simple Marilyn piercing. The initial piercing was fine and when the swelling went down I had a shorter bar put in. Shaun did not attach the stone to the post properly and it fell out 2 days after he changed the bar. It fell out at 3 pm, I was at Golden Goat by noon the next day to have it put back in. Shaun could not find the hole and after several attempts told me, just a minute and I will get it. I closed my eyes because his hands were on my face, he then re pierced my lip with the bottom being in a completely different spot.He did not tell or ask me if I wanted a re-piercing, I would have said no as there was no way the hole could have closed after 15 hours. This is not the worst part, he put the short bar back in, this bar was only about half as long as it should have been. I asked him about the bar before I left and he said if it bothered me I could come back the next day and get a longer one. I iced my mouth all night hoping to keep the swelling down.When I woke up the next day my mouth was so swollen that the bar had already disappeared inside my lip. I had someone else look at it that day and they said they could not even attempt to change the bar until at least some of the swelling was gone. By the time the swelling went down enough to change the bar part of the hole had closed around the bar inside of my lip, it will have to be surgically removed by a doctor. I would not recommend Shaun for piercing to my family, my friends...not even my enemies. Update to this: I had to have the piercing surgically removed. I went to a plastic surgeon, he had to cut the top of my mouth and work the jewelry out of it. I have a lawyer and will be attempting to have all money I paid Golden Goat refunded and to have my surgical fees paid. I see another person had the same thing happen to them, do not get any piercing at this place!! Read Less

Great experience with a great artist!My sisters and I came for tattoos with Wheatley and we were so pleased with the experience and the process. I came a week and a half before hand to meet Wheatley and show her what we wanted to get. Then I placed a deposit to secure the appointment. Two of us had tattoos before, and one of us it was our first time. The whole studio was spotless and Wheatley was so patient and professional. Our tattoos came out great. My husband and I set up an appointment to have tattoos with Rianne ("Ryan") and we could not have been more pleased with the whole process from start to finish. This was our first experience with getting tattoos, so we did a lot of searching beforehand. We made the right choice. The whole studio was clean. Rianne was very professional and knowledgeable. The end product was exactly what we had in mind (and actually better!). I especially appreciated that Rianne took the time to put my nerves at ease, as I tend to have a low pain tolerance! I got a tragus piercing here. I told the piercer that the jewelry looked too short, but he said that it wasn't, so I took his word for it and went home. Turns out, I was right. Two weeks later, my piercing had swelled slightly, as new piercings do, but because the jewelry was so short, it was extremely painful, didn't heal, and began to show signs of being infected. I had to go to someone else to get the jewelry replaced with something longer. The new piercer could barely get a grip on the jewelry because my piercing was so swollen. If I had waited even another day, it would have been impossible to remove. Thankfully, after 10 minutes of digging around in my ear, the new guy somehow managed to get it out and replace it with a longer piece of jewelry. I'm lucky I didn't have to get surgery. Read Less

I've been going to Rianne for a few years now for tattoos and Sean for piercings and they're pretty much the only people I trust to stab me nowadays. Rianne has a light hand, is super fast, and is an amazing talented artist. Her use of colour constantly gets me compliments on my tattoos. Sean (and his apprentice!) have a wonderful bedside manner and I swear his piercings heal faster than anyone else I've ever been to. This is a shop that I always recommend and bring my family to (you can't trust just anyone with your baby sister's first piercing) Not to mention I'm pretty sure they have an unofficial rule that only really attractive people can work there, my shallow ass appreciates that. Stopped by on a whim. I had a nose piercing that was going wrong due to cheap nose jewelry. Thought about just taking the damn thing out but I liked the look so this is where I ended up (thanks to Yelp). Was greeted by the sweetest lady who helped me out right away. One of the guys (sorry can't remember his name) replaced my bad jewelry with a new piece. It healed almost within a week. So glad I came by. My piercing is doing great now.
