I checked Yelp prior to coming here as I wasn't familiar with their work or artists.I came in with no appointment early on a Saturday afternoon with no expectations. I was told they could get me in no problem. Spoke with Dakota and explained what I wanted and he gave me a price. We settled on that price and I texted him the pic of the piece I had in mind. I wanted a ribbon in honor of my father who was recently in a vehicle accident and has a traumatic brain injury. Dakota came back and said he was ready for me and began working on my calf. I quickly realized he was not happy with the young girl working reception that assigned me to him. Apparently, he had a 7pm appointment and was now going to be unable to keep it. I apologized for unknowingly messing with his schedule and he told me it wasn't my fault, but he was obviously unhappy with the situation. It showed when he was done. I should mention that those words were the only words spoken during the entire session.  Not that I needed a psychiatrist or anything, but some friendly banter does wonders for killing the awkward silence over an hour period. After healing, it was obvious my piece needed touching up as the coloring was splotchy and lighter in some areas than others. I went back and had him touch it up and explained that it just wasn't what I had in mind. It was "flat". No depth. Just plain. He offered to outline it to give it more of a "tattoo" look. Oh by the way it will be $50 more since that wasn't what we originally discussed. I reluctantly agreed because he was technically correct. Once he finished, I saw that he failed to outline the inner loop and saw the shaky lines and decided I was done at that point. I haven't seen any other reviews for his work here but he definitely didn't impress me. I ended up going to Fine Lines in Garland and Tom had some ideas on how to fix the issues I had. It now looks great. It's unfortunate that I had to pay for it twice, but at least I'm happy with it now. Read Less

Clean place. Really standoffish at first. Nobody seemed to want to help, all were sitting around for a minute. I thought they were waiting for tattoos. Receptionist is very, very backwoodsy and a little unprofessional. My artist was JT. Or JP. Something abbreviated. And my tattoo was simple linework, I was a walk-in and basically told him to copy a photo. When I mentioned what I wanted changed about the drawing he drew up, he basically refused and said it would be fine. He was friendly enough but very stubborn. His line work is trash. My tattoo is very disproportionate (it's a woman's face and it looks like her eye is falling off the side of her cheek). The lines are crooked and shaky and a couple of the strokes stray from where they're supposed to be. I'm really disappointed, but I learned my lesson. It's also way too expensive, my quote was $160 for linework, it was ridiculous and unprofessional, he didn't even remember how much he said it would cost, he didn't listen to my suggestions/questions about what more could be done to improve it. All he said was "no, i copied it exactly from the photo." Well, no, you didn't. Cause the photo looks GOOD. And your tattoo isn't. Thanks tho, boo. TLDR;- Clean - Could be a lot friendlier/professional- My artist was trash but I'm sure not all of them are trash- DO YOUR RESEARCH AND REMEMBER TATTOOS ARE FOR LIFE (cause now I've gotta wait 6 weeks to get this wannabe Picasso sad excuse of a basic tattoo covered.) - EXPENSIVE for what you get. $200 down the drain for linework, and at least $200 more for the coverup. I came here in a reccomendation and was very pleased. The shop was nice, very well put together and all of the artists and staff were friendly. Landon was my artist and he did such a beautiful job on my arm. He was focused while he was working, he talked and made me feel comfortable, and he also let me sit in silence without feeling weird about it. Lol. This was my third tattoo, I've gotten my other two in another state. Made an appointment a week in advance, got there and waiting almost two hours past my appointment time before I finally got to go back. I had originally scheduled with Landon but he was running late then as I was still waiting to go back he took another customer back. I'm not a wimp when it comes to pain but Dakota, who ended up doing my tattoo, was unnecessarily rough and I was in tears for the whole 3 hours it took to do my tattoo. I left dripping blood and had to run home and wash my shirt before it stained. I wasn't charged the last hour of work, so I can't complain about the price. And it was pretty when he finished but now, only 2 weeks later it's faded and patchy like I've had it for years! I didn't pick or scratch it while it healed, I took care of it like I was supposed to but I'm VERY unhappy that I'm now having to go back and get someone else to fix it but I will NOT be going back here! I've had three tattoos done in this shop. Two by Landon, and they were alright, but I hoped that if I had another artist for my next one, maybe they would do a bit better job. I got a pine tree on my ribs, and a heart on my ankle from Landon, and I got the sense that he didn't really care about doing them. The lines weren't great, and he rushed so much. When I asked him about it, he said "oh yeah, I can just tattoo really fast." I didn't like the results. So then the next time I went with my friends to get tattoos on Friday the 13th, I was excited and got a different artist, JP. Two of my friends went before me, and their tattoos looked pretty good, but mine turned out horribly. So firstly, I wanted a little semi-colon tattoo on my ankle, but with the top circle having some whiskers and cat ears. Very simple. I gave him a reference picture, and he literally traced it exactly (the picture was taken of someone else's tattoo and was slightly distorted from the curved surface of skin). The whiskers were crooked and the ears were lumpy when he put them on, and when I asked him to fix them, he just said he did them like the picture I gave him.  Secondly, the entirety of the tattoo is just beaten up. The ink didn't stay in the skin at some places, and it had blowouts in others. This tiny tattoo took months to heal. MONTHS. It's been about a year since I got it, and it's just awful. The faded purple cloud from the blowout has faded a bit, but anyone can see how awful this tattoo is. I know that Friday the 13th is a notoriously bad day for tattoo artists, and he was probably tired, but come on. Here's to hoping I can get the scarred up skin covered with something better. I was a walk-in at 5:35 for my first piercing. I was greeted quickly, got my form signed, got my piercing, and made it home by 6:10. For a Tuesday afternoon they were nice and prompt! My husband and I got tattood by JP. We sent our art to to the studio in advance and should have known not to go through with it based off the lack luster attitude we experienced when setting up the appointment. We showed up and it was like they werent expecting us at all. The tattoos were not very good and it was some pretty simple 2D designs nothing complicated no depth/shading etc, something we thought would be really hard to mess up but he did. The color is spotty and weak the lines are bad and they didnt even come out the way he drew the design out. The studio offers free touch ups and my husband went back to get his touched up and it still looks bad. They look like a high teenager did them... i opted not to get mine touched up after seeing my husbands second try because i didnt want it messed up more or to even give him another chance. So we both will have to have our tattoos totally fixed by someone else. In addition they did not have cover ups for private areas and the bed was greasy/smelly from whoever was tattood before me. We saw the warning signs and shouldve bounced but we were so excited to get our anniversary tats we risked it. The least we can do is warn others to stay away. Read Less

Word of advice: do NOT let J.P. tattoo you! I put a lot of time into finding an artist and parlor that I thought I could trust, and I thought I found it, but I was terribly mistaken. I wanted a realistic flower on my forearm to cover up a small, white ink Celtic symbol. J.P. assured me he could do what I wanted, and that he "specialized" in cover-ups. I stressed multiple times that I was striving for a realistic, color tattoo. We dived in, and mid-tattoo he took a phone call via Bluetooth, and told the person on the other line that he was in the middle of a tattoo, but he would meet up with them soon. The rest of the session was rushed. What I came out with was an utter mess that other tattoo artists have referred to as "watercolor" or "an attempt at watercolor". Furthermore, half of my white ink tattoo is still visible. I was in tears as soon as I walked out. The tattoo scarred dramatically despite taking great care of it, knowing that I wanted it to heal properly so I could get a cover-up. I've spoken to other tattoo artists that are weary about covering it up, because it would be a dark, dramatic cover-up, which I do not want and may be difficult to do. So I am now searching for someone to try to laser this thing off. At my last consultation for laser removal, the technician said it was one of the worst tattoos he's seen and removing it is likely impossible, and I would need 16 sessions to fade it, but it would never be "gone". I'm heartbroken. I'm even further heartbroken that J.P. seems like a nice guy, and I have struggled with whether or not to write this review because he is in fact very kind, but it comes down to the point that he does not need to be tattooing people, and I don't want others to have a bad experience like mine. I happened upon this gem of a shop in Rockwall by accident.  I didn't know we had a tattoo shop in our area.  I was fortunate enough to have Landon himself do a turtle tattoo to commemorate my recent trip to Kauai.  I LOVE it!  Landon was great, the shop was great, and I will be going back and referring my friends to this place.  The atmosphere makes you feel at home as soon as you walk into the shop!  I have to admit I was a bit skeptical when I was driving down the gravel road to get there, but if you enter from 205, you miss that bit of road! My wife and I went there for matching text tattoos.  They were recommended by a neighbor of ours and did walk ins so it was perfect. The place is clean, the people seemed nice, and the artist we had, Philip, was super sweet and personable. They are a little pricey; for four short words, in black and print, it was $100 and it took about 20 minutes. Still, Philip made our experience really pleasant. This is by far the easiest healing tattoo I have ever had. Definitely would recommend them for larger pieces where you can really utilize there $100/hr price tag. Read Less

I have heard awesome things about this shop, so I went in to speak to one of the artists and get a quote on my future tattoo. I spoke to what apparently seemed to be the main artist, Rene. He told me that he could tattoo me the next day, said 3:30 would be fine. I show up at 3:30, and no one was there. Their hours say 1-10, but it was locked with no one inside. I called and left a voicemail asking what happened and never got a call back. This same exact thing also happened to my father, where he just didn't show up. I understand if you don't want to tatt someone, but it's very unprofessional to say you'll do it, and then just not show up. I will never recommend or go to this place. Read Less
