We made an appointment for 3 small tattoos. When my friend arrived for the appointment, there was one man there and no tattoo artists. There were roaches and equipment on the floor. We promptly canceled our appointment and he said "that's fine, all my artists quit yesterday anyway." Uh...thanks for the heads up when I made the appointment, dude.

Would recommend Mata to anyone look to get artwork done. He has done my two favorite pieces and they are beyond what I hoped for! He even has restored the very first piece I ever got to its original vibrancy. Extremely professional making sure that I was comfortable throughout and that I was happy with everything as we went. He listened and got the specific details exactly how I wanted them. (Including my mother's handwriting) Couldn't be happier with the outcome. Looking forward to working with he again in the future! I got a chance to visit with Christian (a new up and coming artist) and his passion for his work is inspiring. Would gladly have either of these two gentlemen do my art anytime. :)

I got my first tattoo here over spring break and it was exactly the experience I was hoping to have. It was very clean and the guys were very friendly and professional. The art was precisely what I wanted/showed them and it's healed perfectly. Going back today to get another!

I've only had one piece done by Jose Mata. It's my daughters footprint from her ID card from the hospital and her initial. He did an amazing job and I would definitely recommend him.

I've gotten two pieces done by Mata and love them tremendously. Mata is an inventive artist and throws his own style in his work. The shop is clean and the artists, as well as the owner, are very friendly and welcoming. I look forward to going to this shop for my next work and now that they provide piercings, I'm considering going back soon!

Extremely satisfied with my tattoo cover up by Jose (Mata). He was very patient and helpful while I decided what I liked and wanted for my tattoo. He offered suggestions and even drafted the tattoo on me so I would know what it looked like after it was finished. Once I finally decided what I like (which takes awhile since I'm indecisive) he started the work. He is very light handed and this was one of the least painful tattoos I've ever experienced. The owner and other artists are very friendly. The atmosphere is clean and comfortable. My wife and I have already planned our next visit. Strongly Recommend!!! This place rocks....

Mata made sure i was comfortable and doing okay during the entire process & Jason & Jukebox also came and talked to me and they all made me feel very welcome. My friend and I have come here twice so far, for a total of four tattoos and two piercings. We had the good luck of getting Mike for our artist both times, and the works we've ended up with are amazing! This is a clean, professional place with friendly staff and artists as creative as they are skilled. I will continue to come here as long as I can make the drive from North Houston.

After all these years of wanting to get a tattoo and being to scared too, I went to The Kraken laid my money down so I could not change my mind. Well I glad I did, Mike was my artist and did an excellent job. Everyone there was very friendly which helped me go thru getting the cycling tattoo. So if its your first as was mine or your looking for a good tattoo studio I highly recommend The Kraken Tattoo Studio and their artist. Thanks everyone!

This place is awesome. Jukebox fixed a tattoo that I had gotten in Stafford at Anchors Aweigh about 5 years ago. It looked like a 3rd grader drew it. He redid the whole thing and made it a million times better. I was really impressed with all the employees. Mike, I think his name was Mike, also did a sweet job on some chick's leg. If you are looking for a place in the Sugarland, Richmond, Rosenberg area then this is it. By far the best of the shops I've been to out here.

This place is awesome. Jukebox fixed a tattoo that I had gotten in Stafford at Anchors Aweigh about 5 years ago. It looked like a 3rd grader drew it. He redid the whole thing and made it a million times better. I was really impressed with all the employees. Mike, I think his name was Mike, also did a sweet job on some chick's leg. If you are looking for a place in the Sugarland, Richmond, Rosenberg area then this is it. By far the best of the shops I've been to out here.
