I haven’t got a tattoo since I was 21 and I am now much older. I walked in with an idea I have been thinking about to cover up the old tattoo I had. I didn’t care for the tattoo anymore. Hector immediately greeted me. I told him what I idea I had and he started bouncing ideas off of me until we found what I liked. He was able to fix what I didn’t like about my original tattoo, and create the idea I had planned which encompassed the old tattoo. His attention to detail was amazing. It wasn’t just the tattoo that impressed me. Just got this tattoo done by Hector of the serotonin symbol with some flowers as the atoms. I am so in love with it. This shop is truly amazing. Honestly, I didn't even know it existed and by the pictures online I wasn't sure how it would be in person. The pictures online here aren't truly what their work is capable of! They're awesome! Misty and Hector were there and they make you feel right at home. I didn't even know them, I was a walk in. They make you feel like you're family! Pricing is amazing too! My tattoo was only $80 and hector was so patient with me fidgeting (it was an awkward place to get tattoo'd). I will definitely be back for more soon!EDIT: Hector is an amazing artist. Very professional. Went back a couple days later for another tattoo by misty and she made me so uncomfortable. I had sat there for 2 hours, appointment at 9 pm hadn't started by almost midnight so I said I would come back another day. She then told me that she had already wasted $30 on a cab to get there (though she told me that her house was like a block away) and then asked me to give her half for my tattoo for when I come back and told me it would be about $150 for a small wrist piece (maybe worth a $100) and when I said that price was crazy she bantered back and forth for awhile before telling me $80 and that's final. I gave her $30 for a cab and left kinda shaken up. She made it seem as though if I didn't go to her for a tattoo I was gonna end up "regretting it". I went somewhere else for my daith and tragus piercing about 3 weeks ago. When my daith earring fell out 15 minutes until closing, I called Misty at Freedom Ink who said she would wait for me & she did! She was so sweet, gentle, and reasonably priced. Misty made me feel right at home. She successfully put a new earring in for me. I couldn’t help but notice how organized, well decorated, and clean the shop was. It smelled clean, truly! The floors were spotless, and Misty took care into taking the precautions to keep my new piercing sanitized. I think I’m definitely done with body modification, but if I were ever to change my mind, or needed to recommend somewhere, Freedom Ink would be the place. Super bummed about my tattoo. My tattoo artist was Misty, she was nice and personable but also appeared to be under the influence of some kind of stubstance, her co worker even noted she looked "lost" which she admitted she was. Reluctantly I proceeded with the tattoo. The tattoo was perfect where all she had to do was trace the stencil but where actual artistry came into play let's just say that was lacking tremendously. I literally could have done better letting my niece practice on me. I'm just so bummed, this piece meant so much to me, now it's ruined. My friend got a tattoo there too same time, hers came out great. Maybe the right place but wrong artist, for me anyway. Oh then she had the nerve tell me, there are no flowers in existence with the colors I selected, when really she selected the colors herself, what does that have to do with the flower actually looking like a flower? Furthermore, aren't you an artist? Make it happen. Totally freaking bummed😥😟. Update: The shop contacted me and offered to fix my tattoo, even do a new one free of charge, I will take them up on that offer, but like I stated previous the artist sucked not the shop. I went in on Easter Sunday to have my tattoo done with Misty. It came out better then I expected. I met misty at freedom ink a few years back and since then she is the only artist I want to do my ink. Wish I could give 0 stars. Came here and shared my idea for a tattoo with Hector. Paid $100 for the deposit. He said he would give me an update on a sketch in a week. Week passes and nothing. I email and ask for an update, he says he was sick but he'll work on it. Another week and nothing again. So I email and now I don't get a response. Sucks cause dude shammed me for $100. I met Cris at a different shop he used to work at and when he moved to work at Freedom Ink, I followed him there. If you see his work or get work done by him, you would too. Went in an hour before closing and was greeted with open arms. My bofriend got some work done by Chris and I got a scripture by Allen from my Nana"s bible and asked him to match her handwriting. Very nice people! went with my best friend originally to just get a price on a matching tattoo we wanted and Blake gave us a really great price he called it a holiday special made me and my friend feel comfortable especially since it was our first time getting our a tattoo his whole set up was neat and clean he showed me the new needles in their original packaging before he opened them so I could see that they were new and talked to me and my friend while he was tattooing which made the experience better. Love LOVE LOVVEEEE this place. I came here to get a small tattoo and piercing. We ended up talking with the owner who was very nice and recomended his tattoo artist Lee. He Sketched something up right then and there after we consulted. We ended up not getting tattoos because we have a girls trip coming up and they recommended us to wait so we wont ruin them when we swim. We did get our piercings I got my inner ears and my friend got her nips done. Maz did our piercings and he was by far the best piercer I have ever had!! He was so professional and made us very comfortable. Oh and our piercings are even and gorgeous. Defiantly will be back again and again!! I highly recommend this shop!!!!
