Previously before today I would highly recommend going to Inkfluence, but today I was highly disappointed. I came in at 2:30 wanting to get a tattoo for my girlfriend. We were told that a tattoo artist there would be done in 30-45 minuets and would be able to get us in. After waiting an hour and a half I asked the receptionist if she knew how much longer the wait would be. She then went and asked the tattoo artist who we were waiting on how much longer he had. She then came back and informed us that she was sorry but he wouldn’t have time to get us in today and recommended us to another tattoo artist there. I just got my first tattoo here and it was an amazing experience. The shop itself was clean and well maintained and the staff was friendly and professional. Jason was very patient with all my questions and concerns since this was my first piece, he took an appropriate amount of time drafting my design to make sure I got exactly what I wanted, and he had great input for design improvements on areas of my design I wasn't sure about. Stopped in to check out the ink artists and left with a new piercing. This shop is CLEAN, beautiful and well run. Each artists has their own room and runs it like their own business No kids, no drunks and no problems make for a great adult experience. I opted to get a new ear piercing and Red Mantis Piercing did not disappoint. She was very professional, explained care and cleaning in depth, and was fast and with little pain while piercing cartilage. She has many many years of experience and a pro at placement. Also, she was able to lay out the pros and cons of the options I was considering which was very helpful in my decision. Nice jewelry selection as well. With tip and upgraded jewelry my piercing was $60. If you are looking for cheap and anything goes,  then this is not your place. I was looking for clean, experienced and exceptional work and that is exactly what I received and paid for. Impressed with this shop being run like a successful and customer oriented business. The people in Inkfluence are truely amazing. With their years of knowledge and experience under their belts, it's impossible to walk away with a bad experience. Personally my favorite artist there is Lacy, with her qwirky sense of humor and her ability to keep a session relaxing (not to mention her extreme attention to details and amazing artwork), I will never see a different shop or a different artist again. Best tattoos in the LBK.Recently my friend Katie got a sweet tattoo of a chinese cat on her arm. Lance Staggs was the man on the job. He was very nice and precise. He was professional and seemed like he really cared about quality art. Inkfluence is very clean. Really Clean. I might eat a donut off of the floor if I dropped it here. The interior is very appealing to the eye. It has lots of awesome art displayed amongst cool neon lights and glass cases of earrings and such. I have been here numerous times to watch friends get tattoos and have always been super impressed. The prices seem middle of the road. They might be 10% more than other shops in Lubbock, but if you aren't willing to pay an extra 10% for a quality and clean tattoo then shame  on you. It is going to be permanently on your body forever, I think it is worth the small splurge, okay? I have a colored rose on my side rib cage. I got it about 5 years back. Around a year ago I decided I wanted to get the colors re-popping and refreshed. Tim was the random appointment I made. He was also really great and professional. I love Inkfluence and have had great experiences there. Getting a tattoo is always a touchy experience, and strong opinions and clashing ideas can make for very awkward times. However, both artists that I've gone to at Inkfluence have been polite, professional, and respectful of my ideas, and most importantly, done an expert job. I went to Lance to get a poorly done upper rib tattoo reworked, and was thrilled with how it turned out. I hope to get some of his original work at some point and am grateful he was willing to clean up somebody else's mess. My boyfriend and I both got fresh ink from Tim this last weekend - he got an upper arm piece, and I got a small simple piece added to my wrist work - and both of us loved how professional and nice he was, not to mention just plain great at tattooing. He was completely open to working with what we brought him, and I would definitely go back to him. Note: if you yourself are an artist wanting to design your own tattoo down to the nuts and bolts, or are just really picky about details and design, this may or may not be the place for you. The artists here each have their own very distinct and developed style, and may not be too keen on just copying someone else's design. This is also not a place that I would feel too comfortable bringing in a design off of Pinterest. I mention that because I personally think there's nothing wrong with getting a Pinterest tattoo or one you've seen on the internet or designed yourself. But based on vibes I've gotten (and one or two stories I've heard), Inkfluence may not be the right place for that. I would still go ahead and ask, just because their tattoo quality is so good across the board, but be aware that it may not be looked upon favorably. I have personally had awesome experiences at Inkfluence. I would recommend almost anyone to at least talk to an artist there (Lance or Tim!) and see what you think about their ideas for your next tattoo! I went to a couple of different places to check out the artists. Another local Lubbock shop (I won't mention their name, they'll get my bad review later) were just completely rude and I had to wait 15 minutes for anyone to even address me!I went to Inkfluence and as soon as I walked in the door I was greeted by incredibly friendly people. I schedule to have my tattoo done the very next day by Jason. I can't tell you what an amazing job he did! I'm so happy I ended up getting it done here.
