I had been looking for a place to get my first tattoo for a long time and I finally found an artist here that drew up the perfect design for me. All the artists that work here have some real talent. I got my first tattoo done on Tuesday by Joe Campos at Rebel Muse's new location at Preston and Campbell!! The place is so clean and bright I felt completely comfortable going there for my first ink. I had script written out by my mom and Joe advised me that for it to look best he would make it a little larger which was fine with me. I was glad that Joe was honest and upfront about what would look best. Joe, patiently took the transfer film off and on until I was completely happy with the placement of my tattoo. The process was completely painless and Joe kept me chatting so it was done before I knew it!! I think if I hadn't been chatting I would have drifted off to sleep. After the work was done Joe gave me great verbal instructions to care for my tattoo but also sent me a follow up email with written instructions and answered all the questions I had both before and after the work was done. In my opinion Joe went above and beyond to make me comfortable and make my first experience both professional and fun!! Rebel Muse is the most cleanest and brightest tattoo shop I've been in. By brightest, I mean lighting. Usually tattoo shops are dark inside. My husband has been wanting another tattoo for a few years now. Everyone and their mama wants a tattoo from Liz Cook, but she has a 6 month+ waiting list. He made an appointment with Eddie Molina. I believe he is new or somewhat new and moved here from NYC. Husband wanted to go a week before his appointment to check out the place and meet Eddie. A guy gave us a little tour. I think he said there was 19 guys total at the shop. Not sure if that's including Liz since she travels.Eddie and my husband seemed to get on well. Husband told Eddie what he wanted and Eddie was confident he could do it. At first when my husband told me he wanted plague doctors.. I was like what, why? Not that it was a surprise because he has some crazy, weird tattoos like an alien frog. He says the plague doctors were the original bad asses. Anyway, I didn't go for the appointment. One because his appointment was at 11 am. Who gets a tattoo in the morning? Lol. They close early though for a tattoo shop. Two, I wasn't trying to sit there for no 6 hours... and oh yeah, gotta get the kids from school. Husband is happy with his tattoo. I think it's the nicest tattoo he has. He will need all 5 redone now since they look like crap compared to Eddie's Masterpiece. I'm due for a tattoo, I've been wanting a cover up. I love Rebel Muse! I found them by just researching local shops and saw all the great reviews they got, and for good reason too!The customer service is outstanding. I went in for a consultation with Eric Cantu in September for my first tattoo. I didn't really know what to expect but everyone I talked to was very patient and helpful despite me being pretty much clueless. I told him I wanted wave crashing into mountains with a sun rising on the other side. He was very patient and helped me decide on what style and size I would like. We set the appointment for his earliest opening in December. This is the only downside about Rebel Muse, they're so popular it takes a bit to get scheduled but it's definitely worth it.When the day finally came, I walked into the shop and was greeted with the same cheerfulness and professionalism as last time. Eric showed me the design he came up with and I was blown away. It was so much better than what I had envisioned in my mind. He added all of these little details that brought a lot more character into it. He had two different sizes ready for me since I still wasn't 100% sure. The bigger one had a little more detail in it which was nice. I ended up going with the smaller one (which was still a great design only a little simpler) because I had other tattoos I want to get in that area. Otherwise, I would have absolutely loved to have all the finer details in there. About a minute into getting the tattoo, Eric stopped and made sure that I was okay and that the pain wasn't too bad. He asked me that a couple more times throughout, which I really appreciated. We talked for a little bit during and he was genuinely interest, not like he was trying to get me out of there as quick as possible or anything. Overall, it wasn't that bad and Eric was very gentle. When he finished, he walked me through the after care process and then I was on my way. The picture is from four days after getting it and I still absolutely love it. Rebel Muse Tattoo absolutely has some of the best tattoo artists in Texas, if not the entire country. The shop is clean, comfortable, and welcoming.As far as artists go I can only speak to the talent of David Mushaney. I went in 2 and a half months ago for a consultation the artist was very excited and raised my hopes and I came in today for my tattoo session which was an outer thigh mermaid piece and the artist Eric Cantu says to me "he's not feeling it" and shows me the half ass tattoo design that he produced as he said in "2 hours" even though the appointment was set up 2 and a half months prior to the appointment and I have him a picture that I based the tattoo idea off of which he did not follow at all.He then goes on to ask me IF I want my $100 deposit back, which is an obvious YES. I loved my experience here!! I walked in a couple of weeks ago with an idea of what I wanted. I was met at the counter by a sweet young lady and explained my idea.. One of the artists stepped up and listened and it just so happened it was his style of art!! James Corgill was really patient with me as I tried to give him the details of what I wanted.. Which was interresting for him I'm sure! He happened to have had a cancelation 2 weeks from that day!!! We emailed back and forth for more details.. When I got there, the man at the desk was welcoming and James came right out to greet me. He had some great suggestions and was again very patient as I requested some changes. He is very laid back and easy going which made the whole process awesome!! The tattoo came out even better than I had hoped!!! I  so excited and I absolutely love it!!! Sam & Mike were super helpful throughout my sign in, and made sure I was feeling very comfortable and entertained! Cookie did a beautiful job on my tattoo. I have several tattoos and been to a few shops, but this is the first time I've gone in with a vague idea of what I wanted and had the artist draw it up. Most of the time I know what I want and just have the artist ink it on. Well, James is a true artist. He took my vague idea and made it into a work of art of a tattoo. Excellent customer service, exceptional artists, reasonable price.I visited RMT after following the guest artist Allie Already. I got on her schedule about a month and a half prior through Instagram. We then spoke about the idea further and I impatiently waited for my appointment day. A week before, I messaged Allie to see if she needs more information but she didn't. When I arrived, I was elated to be welcomed by a spotless shop, a positive receptionist, and pleasing look. I was given an iPad to complete the information form- a welcome change to the written paperwork. The questions covered my design, agreements, and medical questionnaire. After finishing the form, Allie came up to show me the design, allowing me to modify anything on the design. She did some minor changes (I left the important decisions to the professional) and even made it larger at no extra charge due to the location on my arm.Allie was incredibly professional and made sure I was comfortable for the 5 hours that I was sitting for the tattoo, and made sure that we had adequate breaks. I now have a beautiful starter to my half sleeve that is more than anything o would have ever imagined.On pricing, to be honest, I hate when people ask me how much my tattoo was. Like I said, I had been following this artist for months before I booked an appointment with her. I loved her work, and I wanted her to tattoo me, so I would've paid whatever she thought she deserved, because if an artist has proven skill and professionalism, they deserve every penny they ask for. Tattoos are for life, so don't assume you can get a good one for cheap. Tattooing is more than ink on skin, these guys train for years to figure out how to tattoo in a way that ensures that the art lasts a long time, and doesn't get blown out after two years. *stepping off my soap box*I plan on going back to finish my half sleeve. When I wanted to get a tattoo I reached out to friends for recommendations. After looking through about a dozen portfolios of recommended artists, I chose James Corgill based on his demonstrated line work and use of color. James was able to meet with me quickly for a consultation. I had several elements that I wanted him to encorporate into a design and I felt really good by how confident he was that he'd be able to do it. I had to wait about 2 months to get in and give a deposit at the consult. The day of the tattoo he had a design for me to approve. He managed to get all the elements in that I asked for and we didn't even need to make revisions. He'd estimated that it would take 3 hours and he was accurate almost to the minute. In addition to a beautiful tattoo (everyone who's seen it has raved about it and how well it was done), he did a great job of applying it. I have very fair skin and I was surprised that I wasn't more red. That's the benefit of having someone with 20+ years of experience: he was able to work with my skin type. I have had most of my tattoos done in Vegas by my favorite artist, but when we moved back to Dallas I was really nervous about finding a new artist. After doing a lot of research online I came across Rebel Muse Tattoo. All of their artists have phenomenal work. Liz Cook and Danny Elliot's art is just killer and honestly I can't wait to be tattooed by either one of them. In my research I went to other shops  and talked to other artists at tattoo conventions but it all kept coming back to a few artists at Rebel Muse. Then I kept running into people that had tattoos from them and told me how awesome their experience was.James Corgill is the artist that I chose for my first half sleeve after following him on Instagram for a year.  Corgill is an amazing artist who has incredibly unique work and beautiful color variations to his tattoos that I just had to have one. He was so nice during our consultation that I decided to give him the basics of my idea and let him roll with the rest. When I came in for my linework I was taken aback. The drawing he made for me was PERFECT! He truly understood my vision and cared about all the things I did. We had to split my sessions into three because on the second session, my skin was getting too raised around my linework. I can't tell you how much I appreciate him caring so much about my tattoo and the healing process that he was willing to push out another session. It was the best idea and I am so glad I trusted his judgement. He was super considerate about taking breaks when needed.  I absolutely love my tattoo and could not imagine a better outcome for the piece that I had vaguely designed in my head. It is so vibrant and beautiful. Side note: Corgill is also a really cool dude, full of fascinating facts and he loves good music. Liz is AWESOME! I was nervous about the procedure but she made me feel at ease. I got a full face, lips, eyes and brows and she did an amazing job! I am not one to wear make up ever so she took time to pick the colors that would look best on me. I drove from Houston to (3.5 hours) Liz based off of her reputation and my tattoo artist recommendation and I am glad I did! I was also very concerned about the pain of the procedure after reading all the reviews from women all over who have been through it. Liz made the procedure as painless as possible. I am a big fan of rebel muse!! Hank is my tattoo artist an an amazing artist at that. He is currently working on a sleeve for me on my right arm. When I came in for the first time I had old tattoos from 20 years ago. I wanted a coverup but wasn't totally sure what to get so I described to to Mike at the front desk my thoughts of what I wanted and from there he introduced me to Hank and it was truly a perfect fit. Hank listened to me and gave me his thoughts on what I should do and from there he designed something PERFECT for my arm. Super happy that I gave him creative freedom because my tatt is looking sweeeet! I could not say better things about this place. From start to finish the process exceeded my expectations. Went in for the black friday flash tattoo special for $100 off the flash sheet, and left wondering when the next time time I could come back was. (They even put out Thanksgiving food for black Friday...so, so sweet)Adam was beyond accommodating and thoroughly explained the process throughout the entire day. His artwork is fresh and his lines are clean. The rest of the staff is beyond friendly and will go out of their way to make sure you feel relaxed, at home, and comfortable. Even though he's only been tattooing for two years he's working like a professional and is getting recommended by the entire studio. I was inspired by a friend to contact this shop regarding a tattoo concept I'd been thinking about for several years. She told me that if there was a place that could do what I wanted, this was the place. I looked at the webpage and found my artist who I wanted to contact, co-owner David Mushaney. His work is breathtaking, and I do not say that lightly. A true artist who happens to work as a tattoo man. It did take a little while to hear back after emailing them my concept, and it was a little on costly side when it was all said and done, but luckily that's the end of the bad news. The consultation was a pleasure, I was able to bring in my concepts and speak with David directly and honestly about exactly what i needed. He worked with me on my idea and was able to put together a piece that was beyond my wildest dreams. His wife Ellen works in the shop, works as a liaison for David and helps the shop run smoothly. Sweet as hell and choked me up with the cute banter between her and David in the shop. On the day of the tattoo, Ellen and David were there bright and early ready for me. They'd been there for several hours prior to my arrival, and I got there at 10am. You see, to them, this is a family business, and they take it quite seriously. Other people may be tattooists, but all of these folks at Rebel Muse live and breathe tattoo art. From the moment he began the process, to the very end of the session (6 hours in total) i never once felt uncomfortable, physically or mentally. He talked with me when I wanted, and kept quite when I was in the zone. His room was clean and played good music. He always made sure I was at ease in every way, I can't recommend him enough. I am incredibly amazed by the level of talent at this shop, and the lack of egos. I was referred to Adam Mir, and I couldn't be happier. He did an amazing job. He was thoughtful and appreciated the importance behind my tattoo. His script work was well beyond on point. He didn't just slap it on and rush through it. Instead, he was extremely precise. He was matching a similar tattoo on my other forearm, while still leaving his own mark. Adam KILLED IT!!! I look forward to some more work by Adam, but next time, I want it to be 100% his creative design.The only thing I will say about price, based on other comnents, is that they are competitive. I had no intention of getting my tattoo the same day I inquired 4 years ago, but upon meeting Corgill, explaining to him what I wanted, and getting sincere, honest responses to all my questions, I felt comfortable and went for it. My beautiful piece is exactly as I wanted it: clean lines, attention to detail, and balanced. Arabic calligraphy is not easy and extremely time consuming. He gave me a fair price for his time and I have received nothing short of amazed compliments when I reveal it to people. Not all they are chalked up to be. The artist showed me where he got his inspiration after I was unhappy with it. Not much originality or creativity in work. Customer service was poor. They care more about their "bookings and schedule and process" (or lack of) than the satisfaction of their customer. The communication process is last minute, rushed on the day of ( when the design is shown to you for the first time, just before tattooing) and you are told ahead of time that only a couple minor changes are allowed. I felt kind of stuck because I had already paid a non-refundable deposit. My mistake that I ever went ahead with it. Walk away if you don't like their art. They use their so-called process of last-minute design-reveal with only couple minor changes and non-refundable deposit as a way to minimize creative effort and maximize profits. After a lot of word play, I was told they don't owe me any changes because I had signed off on the original design and there were no scratches. Went in to meet with James about doing a very large piece on my back. Ended up being something I decided to wait on but on a whim I checked to see if he or anyone could do some work on my hand. James introduced me to Cody Hennings, who was an absolute joy to work with. He was speedy, comforting (tattoo was for a family member who passed), and interested in me as a client. I've met artists who only see dollar signs when they look at clients, but not Cody. Dude was just incredible. Same goes for the rest of the staff who were friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable. 6 out of the 8 tattoos I have all came from the man Adam Mir himself and I wouldn't have it any other way. The level of professionalism he has every time I come into the shop blows me away. I have been to a few other shops and there is nothing like Rebel Muse I can tell you that...It's my favorite shop in the metroplex and every artist who works there never fails to make me feel right at home. I took the day off work to get it done and he doesn't have the decency to give me any sort of heads up. Then to add insult to injury he only offers to take a $100 off the tattoo for the short notice. I missed out on more money by taking the day off work then he's "discounting" me. His excuse was he had to much going on and didn't draw up my design. That's bad business and makes your entire shop look terrible. I'm out money from not working and a tattoo i waited 2 months for. I'm extremely pissed about the situation and will not recommend you guys to anybody. My wife was going to get her tattoo done through you guys but will no longer be going to you.Update: the owner himself just called me and didn't want to make things right because I had already posted a negative review. He also thinks you can't delete or edit a review so here's proof that you can! Terribly run shop you should want to help your potential customers and making things right would've gotten you the great review you so badly want. Your artist is unprofessional and you just showed how truly unprofessional your whole business is. Your focus should be the client and that's truly not the case with this shop. Im utterly shocked and appalled at his response to the situation. You can't cancel 12 hours before a session and not try to make it right with the client. Visited Rebel Muse last night awesome awesome shop artists were very cool very friendly, got a really nice piece done by Hank didn't really have any reference material just an idea in my head , he just drew it up on my arm free hand we did it a couple times got the right one down and off we went and really love the piece. I had the best experience at this place! The staff is super friendly and seem genuinely interested in what you are getting. The shop is super clean AND they had a tv playing Bobs Burgers in the lobby which was HIGHLY entertaining. I had Hank who did an amazing job on my tattoo and was very personable. I've been tattooed through roughly 12 sessions so far. Out of all of them, I can safely say that my best experience top to bottom to date was at Rebel Muse Tattoo in Lewisville. It is absolutely amazing that the little town of Lewisville is home to one of the best collections of tattoo artists in the country. That's not hyperbole. That is the absolute truth. This should is home to David Mushaney, Robert Luckey, Haylie Erin, and the incomparable Liz Cook.When I first began my search for a shop/artist to take on a full color, photorealism portrait of my dog, I searched for shops throughout the nation. It took roughly 6 months for me to compile my list. However, at the top of my list in pure artistic ability was an artist named Liz Cook. And holy shit, she was within 30 miles of my house at Rebel Muse. The scheduling at Rebel Muse is mostly done directly through the artist. Because of their abilities and schedules, they don't take on the flash pieces you see at other shops. I never even saw a flash board.Rather, they take on the artistic, one of a kind pieces to forever be on your body. I contacted Liz through email and got an appointment through her assistant about 6 months in advance. Note that Liz is about to debut in a tattoo reality show, so this waiting list could grow even more.On the day of my appointment, I showed up about 10 minutes early. The door was open even though the door said they opened at 11, and there was incredibly friendly staff there waiting along with one or two other clients watching Bob's Burgers on a TV in the waiting room so gothic and fancy, it looks like Bam Margera's castle. You know when you're at a good shop, when you can strike up friendly, interesting conversation with every client there. Seriously, everyone I met there was so friendly.Liz then took me back to her room for my session. That's when you realize just how gigantic this place is. Most artists have at least a 20'x20' space. Each of them are decorated with art that fits each artist's style. They are beautiful.As for the session, it was a very long 6-7 hour session of being tattooed. But in between the needles, I had great conversations with different artists coming in the room to hang out, eating lunch in their breakroom area, and just plain jamming out to Liz's playlist. I hit a wall of pain with about an hour to go, but another artist named Cookie got me a Snickers to help bring my sugar levels back up to last for the rest of the session. And I was so glad that I was able to get this in one session. It was well worth it. It is the most stunning piece of art that I own, and it's on my body forever.If God wanted to get a tattoo, he would go to Rebel Muse. Check out the artists' portfolios and you'll see why. The place is VERY clean, the staff couldn't be nicer, and the talent speaks for itself!My sister and I got similar acorn tattoos by Adam Mir. Though Adam is still an apprentice (I never would have guessed on my own), his skill blew me away! David Mushaney is amazing!  The appointment wait time and cost is well worth it! The shop is spotless and welcoming!  All the staff is encountered were friendly.I came to David for my 3rd tattoo (and largest) a trash polka shoulder/half sleeve.  The piece he designed is truly a piece of art!  People stop me every where I go and ask me about it.He made me feel comfortable and the entire experience was exceptional! I have to seriously refute the other review on here. I spent 5-1/2 hours being tattooed by Dave with my first tattoo somewhere around a year ago when they first opened and it was a great experience. Dave is a very professional family man and was nothing but engaging and respectful for the entire tattoo. Add to that a great tattoo with impeccable line work and I can't recommend him and Rebel Muse highly enough. Read Less
