I went in today to get a small mountain range on my arm as a memorial to my mother who passed a few years ago. The artist assured me he would do a great job. I gave 2 reference photos as to how I wanted to look, and explained that I wanted a bit of a night sky background with purplish black. The artist said he thought it would look out of place to do random color, so I trusted his decision, and went with the black and grey. When I saw the stencil, I said I didn't think it looked right, and he said not to worry, that the shading would make it look the way I want. Yet again, I trusted him. Midway through I looked at the shape as well as shading, and told the artist it wasn't turning out the way I wanted, and he kept telling me that "it won't look right" the way I want it, and since it's small "detail can't really be done"...uhh I call bs. I asked for mountains and a night sky, I got hills with splotches and a line of what looks like Christmas trees or leaves. No color, and it was $120. The biggest thing that upset me was when it was done, the first thing I said was "that's not what I expected", once again, the artist argued, but said that when it healed he could do a free touch up. I called a little bit ago, about an hour after I left, and expressed how unhappy I was with it. Yet again, I was met with "I think it looks good, but I can add more black shading for free"...wtf?!
