Okay, so two months ago I set up an appointment for a tattoo with Chase. I put down my deposit, and showed him the image I wanted and where I wanted it, which was wrapping around my forearm. Now, I don't know if he was paying ANY attention to me when I was telling him what I wanted because TODAY was my appointment and he CAN'T do the tattoo I wanted. Is it not common practice to at least have an idea or tell me BEFORE I make the appointment that he is unable to do it? APPARENTLY NOT HERE. i'm not one to write reviews no matter how much i dislike whatever i've gotten but this is ridiculous. the bottom hole is far from where it should be so it looks extremely awkward and out of place. i asked if it could be more horizontal like top of the ear and it's definitely not. i got it pierced in november and i was soo excited for it but now that i actually realize how it looks, i kinda always want my hair down. this was like 70-80 bucks i don't remember. it's also too small of a bar, the top piece is making a dent on my ear but it still hurts too much so i don't wanna get it changed out yet but i feel like it hurts that much BECAUSE the bar is so small. it makes my ear look funky when it's literally the most normal looking ear?? the bottom hole is way too far back. the day i got it done, jay was really stressed out and rude so i should've just followed my gut and left. he pierced it incredibly fast and kept saying things under his breath about how he needs to pierce a certain amount of people in a certain amount of time so he can go home. i understand how you want to go home after a long day but come on man, now my ear looks so screwed and all these painful months of healing are all useless. i'm going to put myself through the longest and most painful (in my opinion) healing process once again on my other ear at a different shop because i dislike this one that much. The place is clean and everyone that works there is professional and polite. I’ve never encountered a problem and am often surprised on all they will do to help you get the right work done that you dreamed up. I’ve been here a handful of times and had a couple of piercings done, Jay is very skilled. Spiro has been my artist for 2 of my pieces so far and I plan to keep going to him. I’ve seen other artists work and think that anyone in there would be skilled enough to do anything you needed or wanted inked on. I went in and the artist that I ended up working with barely spoke English. That was fine. What was not fine was after she did my tattoo I noticed a couple of spots that I personally wanted touched up and she shook her head and said it was perfect. I'm sorry if something is going to permanently be on my body I want it to be perfect in my eyes not someone else's. Also the shop minimum is $100. I paid $100 is for a tattoo that took literally less than 10 minutes when initially they wanted 120. Highway God damn robbery is what that was. The only reason I even went to the shop is because my usual one has been booked up for appointments for a couple of weeks and I really wanted a piece of work done. My original shop was only going to charge me between $60 and $80. I did not tip and I will never be returning to this shop. Went in on 2/18 right about when they opened. Just to be clear the rating is strictly on Service. We stood at the counter for a sometime while 2 artists were getting things ready and completely ignored us. After awhile asked if they could please advise of wait. Neither artists made eye contact and one stated I'm booked for the day and the other we having for today. I then asked do you take appointments and response yes but closed tomorrow. Completely unfriendly and within a matter of 5 minutes knew I couldn't trust either artists. You would think if they are going to ink people's body forever they would need/want to be polite. On a slow day they might be wishing for clients, which they could have returned if they weren't so unprofessional, customer service goes a long way for any business. Read Less

Got my first tattoo here with my sister other day. Was cool. My artist was very to himself, didn't small talk , joke around or anything one would expect in a customer service field. But he had a awesome light hand while tattooing. I feel like tattoo pricing was high for such a small tattoo...but although minimum was 80$ we decided to get the little tattoo based on family good word. And I honestly expected the minimum of 80$ at max but we paid 100$ each.. I may come back for a better tattoo that will be worth the $$ later. I went to get my first tattoo. No one was available at the time so I made an appointment with one artist, Chase. I asked for a quote and he couldn't give me one, but my deposit was $100. Partially my fault, since I decided to put down that much for a deposit not really knowing the full price. The tattoo I wanted was small, could fit in a two inch circle. I live an hour and a half away and only came here because a friend recommended it. I was unable to be home for my appointment date, so two and a half weeks in advance, I try to cancel since I wasn't sure when I'd reschedule it to. The artist told me I couldn't get my deposit back, even though someone over the phone told me the artist could CHOOSE to give it back or not, which is a shitty policy anyway, especially when I'm canceling half a month in advance. I asked for a quote and he finally gave me an answer, $300 for my tiny ass tattoo. My friend got hers done here for half that price and her tattoo is twice and big and detailed. I only remember Jays name cause he did my daith but the other dude I don't remember( my apologies). I've been here 2 times once to get my industrial piercing and once to get a tattoo. The tattoo artist was super friendly. However the piercer (Jay) is probably the rudest person I have ever met. He acts superior which bothered me because previously when he pierced my ear I gave him a great tip. If he pierces your ears just be aware that he will suddenly become super friendly at the end to try to get a good tip. I will never come back to this shop just because I cannot stand Jay. Read Less

I hate to write this review, because there are some really talented artists in this shop. But I just happened to get one that gave me an experience that turned me away from this shop forever. So I'm not the most knowledgeable when it comes to tattoo artists and the procedure, so I'm pretty gullible. I walked in sometime in April, and I just wanted to inquire about getting a tattoo. It wasn't very busy when I went in, but it looked like they were short on staff, so I was hoping that once I was finally greeted that I would be recommended an artist and then get to talk to them, whether it was that day or another day. So this guy (Chase Young) comes out and asks me if I need help. I tell him that I just wanted to talk to someone about getting a tattoo. He seemed like he was in a huge rush, so he asked me what I wanted, hyped it up really well and told me he would do some drawings for me before I came into the appointment, which was for a week later. So i went ahead and made the appointment, put in a $100 deposit, and was on my merry way. When I arrived to my appointment that next week, it happened to be really busy. I arrived on time, and ended up waiting 2 hours on an uncomfortable chair because he was working on someone. I wanted to reschedule but there was no one available to talk to so I just stuck it out. When he was finally ready to get to me, he had no idea who I was. My boyfriend came to sit with me for a little bit for moral support, and he assumed my boyfriend was also being tattooed. I had to slow him down and tell him who I was, and what I wanted. And then he asked for pictures of what I wanted.......This guy, who said he would draw up different sparrow designs for me, had absolutely no idea who I was and nothing drawn for me. I was completely devastated. Luckily I had a picture of a sparrow that would have been something I would have been proud of to put on my chest, if it was done correctly. So he just traced the sparrow and then stenciled it. It hurt like a bitch of course but he was nice and respectful when he was tattooing me. That's the only reason why he gets two stars and not one. So we get done, I end up paying $200 and give him a $40 tip, and he sends me an email for aftercare instructions, which I follow religiously. I'm completely healed, and my tattoo blow out is embarrassing. I followed the aftercare instructions to a T, so I honestly believe it's because of whatever technique he was using, and he most likely went too deep. You can see where the ink is just bled out on my skin. The skin in raised in some parts. The lines aren't even. The sparrows don't even look the same size and barely the same shape. I'm heartbroken that someone would do this to my skin. I guess you live and you learn. I would go back, but I know there's nothing he could do for me to fix this, other than cover it up, and I don't ever want him near my skin again. Maybe if someone else was to cover it up. Overall, store is beautiful and clean, and most artists are professional and good at what they do. I just happened to be the unlucky sucker. Read Less

Over priced, I went in for a cover up (which I know should be more expensive than a regular tat). Artist was knowledgeable, or at least he seemed it. We didn't finish in one lonnnnnng session; Also the dude kept taking cigarette breaks, which I don't mind 1 but 2,3, 4, 5- plain old ridiculous. I kept texting the artist and calling the place afterwards and never got to schedule my 2nd session to finish. He was always booked. And I never got a call back or text back. Eventually I found an awesome artist to finish the work for them, price was way more reasonable, and wouldn't go any other place again!! This place is not organized either. I did considerable research for an artist that would suit the style I was seeking. Yet, repeatedly was told he wouldn't even consider a consultation, except on April 1. As a working professional, just dropping in is difficult and said artist refused to schedule an actual appointment with me. Not wanting to take on my project is fine, but subsequently insulting and condescending me by email is not only offensive, but extremely unprofessional. I have no intentions of doing business with AI- regardless if one doesn't speak for all- and will encourage all of my friends to look elsewhere. Sick and tired of crappy shops and rude artist, I decided to do my research for my next tattoo and wasn't disappointed...I went to the cypress location with my fiancé...it was my bday and I had a bunch of ideas for several different tattoos I wanted, all of which were large...just walking in without appointment Andrew and Chris were extremely funny and friendly, they took the time to walked me threw each idea I had, adding their own artistic opinion on each one (two were cover ups)...being as they were good sized tattoos I made an appointment with Andrew to start one this coming Sunday! Andrew took the time to explain that he will not have me walking around with his work looking bad, that alone I appreciate...so we made the appointment, but while we were there wanted to get something lol...they have a coin machine with tons of drawings in it, you pay to turn the handle (lower thank their shop min) and see what you get...it was extremely exciting and I've never seen it before...so we did that I got a small kitty, my fiancé a rose...both of which came out awesome with a cool story behind it...we will see y'all Sunday!!! I recently decided to get my first tattoo and spoke with Spiro about what I wanted.  I had spoken with him before several times and he was extremely patient with me and in helping me design what I wanted.  I don't know how he does it, but I'm not an artistic person when it comes to getting pictures out of my head and onto paper.  When he showed me what he designed I was excited and amazed.  His artistic talents are simply remarkable.  I set an appointment with Brianna who explained everything to me and answered any questions I could think of.  When I met Spiro at his shop to get the tattoo I met several of the artists who were working that day as well.  Every single person inside was friendly, professional and just made the place feel great.  The shop was extremely clean, it's obvious that they take cleanliness very seriously; from the front desk to the chairs and equipment, and the restrooms.  It was so clean I could have expected to eat a nice dinner at the end of my session.  So this is a major plus to me, cleanliness of a business reflects on the professionalism and how much a business cares about itself in my opinion.The session took about 4.5 hours and the artwork that's now on my arm is awesome.  I could not have imagined it looking any better. Went in to get the back piece of my tragus piercing switched out. The front counter people acted annoyed that I walked in. The guy that I talked to about my piercing acted like I was an idiot for asking to get it switched out. Then he LOST my $80 piece of jewelry and put another piece back in without even letting me pick it out. He said "this ones on the house." He was so rough he made my ear bleed for no reason. If I could rate lower, I would. I went there on the 19th to try and get my rib cage done. My artist was supposed to be Ge, but he had me wait about an hour before he even would be able to put the trace on me. I sat down to wait at 2, at 2:58 I still didn't have any trace on me and Ge was on the phone. I finally decided to leave because I've never been treated so poorly by a tattoo artist since I've been getting tattoos. They always have my trace and under the needle within 30 minutes. When I was walking out the door, Ge acted very indignant and couldn't possibly believe I wasn't gonna be tattooed by him. While in town visiting my parents, I told my mom I wanted to get my nose and industrial pierced. She had got her tragus done a few months back and suggested Artistic Impressions. It's in a sort of strip center and, as of October 2014, it just says "TATTOO," not the actual name of the studio on the outside (although I do believe the name is on the door). This just set off bells for me because it gives off the impression that it's just a run-of-the-mill, "eh" kinda place. I've had multiple tattoos done, so I've been in my fair share of studios; both great and not so much. My mom assured me the piercer was good and the place was clean. I was relieved when we walked in and were greeted politely by someone at the counter. The space feels lively, clean, and well-kept. The red paint on the wall definitely jumps out at you! I met the piercer, "J," or Jonathan Soechting, and he was very professional and helpful. We got the paperwork filled out and went back into the room to get everything done. He told me the cost upfront, which was 110 for both piercings (including the jewelry) which I thought was pretty reasonable. He also explained the different sizes to me and assisted with picking out the jewelry.J cleaned everything thoroughly and explained the process to me for both piercings. I won't say the piercings were without pain, but it didn't have anything to do with him- it's just the nature of the beast. He cleaned them up and then spent a few minutes explaining how often to clean them, when to clean them, and what to clean them with. He even suggested a few things to do if they became really painful or uncomfortable. J also changed my mom's tragus piercing free of charge, which I thought was nice. He also offered some tips and suggestions to her as well.Some of the reviews previously left for this studio mention bad experiences both with the tattoo artists and the piercers. I, personally, did not see anyone getting a tattoo while here or interact with them, so I can't comment on that. However, as of the end of October when I visited, J is the ONLY piercer. My mom apparently had another piercer do hers and J said he was let go because of various reasons. So, I'm unsure if J was the piercer where issues happened, but he is now the only one so if it was someone else, he doesn't work there anymore. My husband and I scheduled two appointments to get tattoos. We were told BB would be the ideal artist to do these tattoos. We provided BB with two sketches for our ideas. He said he would work on them and send them to us for review prior to our appointment. This did not happen. When we arrived for our appointments, BB informed us he did not have time to do both tattoos that day as planned and had not yet completed the drawings. At this point, we no longer felt comfortable doing business with such an unprofessional organization or artist. On top of everything, BB was incredibly rude. I will never set foot in this poorly managed establishment again. After a huge argument, BB finally returned our deposit. Go somewhere else if you expect a professional staff. He pierced my nose about 7 months back and I have been back to get my piercing changed.When I first got it pierced, I encountered some small problems but was taken care of. About 5 months ago I went into artistic impressions to get my belly button pierced for my birthday with my family, the people were pretty nice, the place was very clean.. The person who did my piercing was nice, talked to me during it because I was so nervous and just made me feel comfortable. But after he had done it he said that I was bleeding a lot more (watery blood) than most people should for getting their belly pierced, he said that I was most likely anemic and that I should go to a doctor and get it checked out. He swore up and down that I was. But he was very rough when cleaning it up, I understand you move it around to clean but he would lift it and push it pretty hard which hurt.. Very bad, but I just kept it in until I started crying. And then he kept making jokes about me crying and said that I was the first person in 13 years to cry and just kept saying it and then told other people and started laughing with them. It was funny at first but I was in a lot of pain and I don't think he knew.My mom went to a doctor a couple weeks after because I was still bleeding and the doctor had told my mom that he went in too deep and busted a blood vessel. To this day (5 months later) I still bleed, I'm still in a lot of pain and I still have a purple bubble next to the top ball. Read Less

This place is amazing! My best friend and I went in to get piercings by Ash Bagwell. We had an hour drive to get there but it was completely worth it. She was awesome! Everything was incredibly clean and she definitely makes it a point to make her customer feel comfortable. She thoroughly reviewed the process of the piercings with us before doing them and really stressed the aftercare instructions. I was so nervous I almost fainted! But Ash was just so patient and genuine in her efforts to put us at ease. There is a large selection of jewelry available; everyone will find something they like. I got my navel done and my friend got her nose. The piercing itself was basically painless and I haven't had any redness or swelling since the first day. Awesome place to get your first tattoo, at first my mom thought tattoo parlors were all shady and sketchy looking but when we went to get me and my twins sisters tattoo done she felt comfortable and shes liked the experience. im especially happy with my tattoo I've wanted for almost a year and decided to get it on my leave time from the navy before we head out on cruise. Artistic Impressions is highly recommened for your tattoo and/or piercing needs. It does not look like your typical tattoo parlor. On the walls, you will not see the ordinary choises of tattoos to have slapped on. Instead, are Spiro's (Owner/Artist) art work of ink and paint. The place is very clean and classy, like being in an art studio. Spiro is both a very talented artist and tattooer. He was professional and considerate of my needs. He is easy to talk to and was not rude or offended by small changes I wanted in my tattoo drawing. I really felt our ideas were about making it come together. I have received a tattoo and two piercings at Artistic Impressions. Spiro was the artist who did my tattoo, which was my first. I went in with an idea of what I wanted, but didn't know how to put it all together. Spiro and his apprentice, Erin, came up with a fantastic design that I absolutely loved. Spiro is an amazingly talented tattoo artist, and my tattoo turned out even better than I had ever imagined. I can't wait to get my next tattoo from Spiro. I have also received two cartilage piercings from Rick at Artistic Impressions. Rick made sure to explain the piercing process and the after care in great detail. He also frequently asked how I was feeling during and after each piercing. I know that a cartilage piercing is probably one of the most basic piercings that he performs, and it meant a lot that he made sure to take the time to check on my well-being.
