I was greeted promptly, and after explaining the reason for my visit and what I wanting, they were able to fit me in within 20 minutes of my arrival. Marshall is amazing! He did myself and 2 daughter's (mother & daughter tattoos) we love them. Today my husband went in to have Marshall look at his tattoo he had done many years ago on 6th street in Austin Texas. Went to get ears pierced after having them closed for 2 years. The place was very clean and Ray was very helpful and explained everything. He was very careful measuring and making sure I was happy with placement before actually doing the piercing. I was in and out of the place in 10 minutes even though he took his time to do correctly. I had a fantastic first tattoo experience with Jason Peoples! I have been thinking about getting one for about a year now. I wanted to get a nice tasteful tattoo that would be a symbolization of some significant changes and challenges in my life. I was nervous about where to go and spent a lot of time looking up reviews for shops in my area. Magic Needle has great and accurate reviews. It's clean and the staff are very professional, as well as talented. People's reviews are dead on. He's easy going, friendly, talented and works great under pressure. He was busy, but took it all in stride, made his clients at ease, esp me, and did great work. I love my tattoo and my experience was actually painless (got it on my thigh). I'm going to send him some ideas for another tattoo and he's going to design one as a gift for my husband. I can't wait to see the results! Thanks Jason! P.S. The reviews that say they had to wait too long, my advise if in a hurry, be patient, it's worth it; secondly, if you're in that much of a hurry, schedule an appointment or come back another time! The busy times of their day are posted on this listing, plan ahead, especially if you're making a decision like this that is permanent and/or is important to you! I went for my second tattoo last night. The place is so clean and the artists are very professional and friendly. Marshall took care of me this time, as Jason is no longer there. This was a small one, so it didn't take very long. I got it on my wrist and there was minimal pain, very tolerable. Marshall has talent, he's great! The Amazing Dr. Potter did my first tattoo. I was expecting pain from what others described, and was met with a light handed artist who knows his stuff. Ray has been a friend of my fathers for a long time and he’s done his ears, pierced at a 12 and eventually stretched to a 2. Great guy just doesn’t talk a lot. So I ended up being incredibly disappointed with my experience here. I’ve gotten multiple piercings before and know the drill for the most part. When I arrived, I was asked to tip before the procedure-odd, but every shop runs differently so I tipped. I always tip generously for people stabbing me since I appreciate the art work and their talent. When I got back to the piercing area, the piercer had me sit, marked my ear and pierced it without showing me where the marks were or ensuring that I 1-liked the placement 2-was ready for a needle to go through my ear or even knew he was about to start. Then after he pierced it, he commented that I was a bleeder-which I know I am-and handed me a paper towel to clean myself up. I had to ask for saline q tips to clean up my own blood and fresh piercing, and he walked out right after. To add to this, the piercing I got was my industrial and the bar he measured me for was what it should be when healed, not newly pierced. I ended up having to go to Enduring Tattoo(HIGHLY recommend them) to have CBR’s put in instead of the bar because it swelled so much that it was starting to swell over the balls. So to summarize, my piercing was done in a location that I would have changed given the opportunity to see where he planned to pierce, the jewelry was incorrect for the new piercing, I left the shop with blood in my ear, hair and neck because I cleaned it up myself, and I felt like a burden to the piercer when I asked questions and got my piercing done. I would not return here for piercings again. If I am able to figure out how to post pictures I will post a picture after I left the shop showing blood all on my ear, hair and neck. I’m very disappointed with my experience at Magic Needle. Go to Enduring if you want great customer service and a great piercing or tattoo, not here. Read Less

I Highly Recommend piercings and Tattoos from here Tony is the ONLY Person who I trust to touch me with ink he did 5 out of 6 of my tattoos all custom work. Peoples not only does amazing work, but makes you feel very comfortable the entire time he's working. Every time I go, I end up laughing just about the whole way through the process because he has a great sense of humor. Also I have to brag on Ray a little as well who does the piercings up there. He's seriously such a chill guy, and is really good at what he does. I just went in there to have him put my tragus back in after an hour of sitting in a mirror not being able to. Dale did an awesome job on my custom tat! He took my homage to my kids to the next level....It was even better than I imagined. Lawler did an amazing job on my husbands rework. Not only did he fix his 10 year old, off center tat but he added a little ""Lawler flavor"" to make it one of a kind. We couldn't be more pleased with our new pieces.
