We were looking to get a memorial tattoo for our good friend who recently passed away and I am so glad we found this place. Granted it was a last minute decision which is normally a no go for a tattoo however Greg and his shop took amazing care of my 4 female friends (one being my wife) and myself.  Now the girls went with "Fabulous " being our friend Luz was always striving for Fabulous, I went with my nick name for her of Lil G and her birth date and date of her passing. The atmosphere was good and clean but the tattoo I got was very messy. It was done too deep I think and the letters look shaky. The guy who did mine didn't seem interested in his work and kept asking for cash. They don't take credit cards or check, but they have an ATM in the bathroom. I can only speak for the artist I have been to at this locale; Mickey. He was the apprentice to my original artist, and I couldn't be happier to have him as my new artist. So far, Mickey has done 3 original pieces on me; and one cover-up/major touch-up. I plan to get the rest of my ink done at Secret and all by Mickey. NONE have hurt since he isn't heavy-handed at all, and they ALL look like they flow with the work on the rest of my skin. He also is very skilled and diligent... in his work, while somehow remaining humble. Here's what sets Mickey apart from other artists; he's willing to truly go the distance on literally any piece- even if it's something he might be new with or hasn't ever seen another piece like it.. I was referred to Mickey -for my daith piercing to relieve migraines- by a friend of mine. While I can't comment on the effects of the piercing for migraines, I CAN comment on my experience. From the second I called to inquire about an appointment, I felt at ease by the confidence and calm manner in Mickey's voice. I have terrible anxiety and this was a huge relief to me! I had my nipples pierced there over a year ago and now that I am pregnant, they were uncomfortable and also weren't the best option for breastfeeding. Mickey was my piercer and not only was he super helpful in helping me understand my options based on my circumstances, he was super nice. He was awesome and made the decision to remove them easier. Went to several tattoo shops within the Montrose area looking for an artist who could do comic book style. None of them had anyone impressive until I visited Secret. Right away they directed me to check out Hector's book and I was very impressed. Sent him a text with the image I wanted and it changed up to the comic book style. My friend and I went to get our forward helix pierced with Mickey. He was great and made the experience fun for us. My piercing was not painful and is healing really well. Everything was really clean as well. Not a bad thing but something i didn't know that i thought i would share- the piercings need to be paid in cash. So I got a tattoo the other week at secret tattoo by sedalah. Now I obviously have a lot of tattoos which means that I'm no stranger to the customary respect between client and artist. I came to know of sedalah when she tattooed my ex. When she tatted her, she stop watched the whole tattoo, starting it only when the actual tattoo began and pausing it for smoke breaks. She also gave her the fifth hour off. Well we had an appointment for me to come and look at what she had draw...n for me and if I liked it to begin our first session. When I arrived, bringing her a gatorade as well, she wanted to smoke some cigs, which I'm cool with since I smoke, and chat up the other artists and a homeless guy outside. I approved of the drawing and then around 3:15 started putting the outline on my shoulders. 3.5 hours later we were finished. She charges 150 an hour. Do the math, that is $525. She then proceeds to tell me that she is charging me for hour in which nothing happened. I've gotten tattood by many artists that go by the hour and never have I been charged for the artist smoking cigarettes or needing to take a break. I always tip a 100 bucks. So for her trying to fuck me over I gave her 500 plus the 100 deposit and decided that I would go elsewhere. She then proceeds to put my picture and license onto Facebook, and along with other friends, begin to talk shit about me, over 75 bucks that she believes she deserves for wasting an hour of time. $675 for 3.5 hours of work at $150 an hour. As someone with no tattoos and no piercings (other than my ears), I was very nervous about even walking into a tattoo shop for the first time. After doing some research and checking out a few tattoo shops in person, I ended up coming here last night to get my first tattoo. The shop was clean and filled with intricate and impressive tattoo designs. They also had some books with the works of the different tattoo artists. The atmosphere was very laid back and friendly. I was immediately greeted upon entering the shop. Everyone seemed professional and it showed that they take pride in their work.Now for my tattoo artist, Sinclair: After checking out her portfolio online, I decided that I wanted her to do my tattoo. So I called ahead and luckily she was available. This being my first tattoo, I was nervous and anxious but she quickly put me at ease. She is very personable and sweet. She listened to what I wanted and offered honest opinions when asked. It was apparent that she really respected that I was asking her to put something permanent on my body. After she sketched out my design and I was happy with it, she let me watch her set up. She thoroughly cleaned the work area, my chair, and the equipment. She showed me the sterile needles and equipment with the expiration date on it. She explained everything she was doing which helped my nerves. As far as the tattoo process: I was pretty nervous about the pain, as this was my first tattoo and I chose my ribcage for the location (which I had heard was a painful spot). However, the pain was not as bad as I had been expecting. Sinclair told me to let her know if I needed a break and during the process she checked in with me to see how I was doing. She also gave me warning when she changed needles or locations, as the sensation felt different. The whole tattoo experience was way more pleasant than I had been expecting.End result: I absolutely love my tattoo! Sinclair did an amazing job! My design has a lot of straight lines and I'm very impressed by how nice and straight they look. She also went over all of the aftercare with my and gave me her card in case I have any questions.I couldn't be happier with my tattoo and my overall experience! I highly recommend Sinclair! Ambiance of this place is really laid back. Chill music, and everyone is super friendly. That was the first thing I noticed. I started looking at some of the portfolios to see what all the artist had to offer. Some of the best work. I talked to the girl up front about what I was wanting. She automatically hooked me up with Sedelah. Now there's an awesome tattoo artist. I gave her a vague idea of what I wanted, and told her to come up with her own idea. What she drew out was more than I could imagine. She was steady and quick. The color is super vibrant, and healing was a breeze. While I was in the chair, the other artist would come by and spark conversation. This place felt more like relaxing home than a shop. That's a huge bonus, especially when sitting in the chair for a few hours. I'll definitely be going back for more work. And recommend this place if you're looking for a one of a kind tattoo.
