I don't remember his name. A big guy with a bald head. Not a big talker, and didn't really seem to have a pleasant kind of personality. I went in maybe close to 2 years ago and asked for a cover up of Capt. Billy's name tattooed along the side of my foot. This man made a HUGE MESS out what he proposed as a floral cover up. He was SO HEAVY HANDED, my foot was the size of a football for 2 months! It was scarlet red and SO swollen I couldn't wear shoes for almost 8 weeks. I contacted him with photos of it and also let him know the ink had spread up under the skin all the way up to my little toe and the colors of the outline of the "flowers" had run. It looked terrible! He admitted it looked really bad,but he said when the swelling went down and it healed to come in and he would do what he could do to fix it. No charge. Absolutely NO WAY would I EVER let him touch my foot again! I actually thought I was going to lose my foot! My friend that is a nurse told me to go to a Dermatologist that said it was infected of course. The dermatologist asked what the tattoo was and then asked what were all the gray dots under the so called flowers. It was pretty embarrassing! Now I'm stuck with this ugly tattoo on my foot that the lines and colors have run under the skin and there's nothing I can do about it. I wish I would've left it alone. At least the script of Capt. Billy's was feminine and now I have this big ugly blob on my foot! And btw, I've NEVER had an infection of any kind, and always kept A&D on it and followed all directions just as I always have with all my other tattoos. I need some more work done on other tattoos, but I will NEVER recommend nor return to that place! For ONCE I'd like my tattoo work to reflect a good artist! One that really cared about their quality of work. I always seem to get the crappiest work done. I would be so thrilled to be able to show off beautiful work... I'm just a 65 year old woman that only wanted a pretty floral tat. I'm not young and pretty anymore so I guess I kinda get left out when it comes to anybody caring about what means something nice to me. I'm not wealthy so I didn't have the money to go back and have him look at it again and see what he could do, even if I wanted to. You know I feel that if he wasn't interested in doing that for me, or it wasn't his thing, he could have just referred me to someone that would've done the little bit I wanted. I wasn't asking for much. Just put some tiny flowers in the script even if you couldn't read the script, just make it look sweet. Obviously all he wanted was my hundred$ bill. Now instead of living the rest of my life out with something petite and elegant, I have this big ugly blob on my foot. I hate this thing...And for all the rest of my days. Sad.

I went in almost a month ago & got the daith piercing for my chronic migraines. Let me just say I couldn't have been more pleased by my PAIN-FREE experience with Forrest. I looked into this piercing a year ago, & couldn't just couldn't do it, I am petrified of needles. I'm so glad I picked this place, after researching so so many in the Austin area! I'm even more estatic to report that, I haven't had a single migrane in a month, the only regret I have is not doing it sooner ; seriously the best 50$ I have EVER spent!

An acquaintance got a piercing here because they had a good tattoo experience. It went bad and had to be removed by a plastic surgeon. Other piercing artist said the piercing was improperly done, which led to the problem. They agreed to refund the money, but then they posted to FB calling my acquaintance "entitled" and other stupid crap. Turns out they didn't even refund half, which is not what was agreed. It boggles my mind that a shop reliant on word-of-mouth and personal relationships would jeopardize that over $50 or whatever. Take your business elsewhere, these guys might be decent tattooists but they are jerks.

The owner was pretty rude to my friends and I when we went in. My friend asked for a tattoo - got patronizing commentary about the tattoo she's chosen to get. I wanted to get a second lobe piercing, and besides him telling me to shut up at some point (seriously), the piercings in each ear weren't even and I ended up having to take them out. I guess he didn't do a shit job on my friend's tattoo, though, so he's fine at that one aspect of his job.

Came to Needlewerx on a recommendation for Forrest's work. I brought my own sketch and gave him the "go ahead" to take artistic license, and the result couldn't have been any better. Forrest turned it into an incredible piece that has already received numerous compliments. I won't have to think twice about where to get any future work done, and in the mean time will be recommending Needlewerx to everyone I know that is looking for a shop.

If I could give them zero stars I would. I've been to this place twice and I've never had a good experience with them. If I call to make an appointment they are rude about. One of the tattoos I got from them is completely faded and I only got it a year ago. You can see in random places where they went too deep and then not deep enough. This is by far the worst tattoo place I've ever been to and I have 11 tattoos and being in the military I travel a lot and have been to a lot of different parlors. Go somewhere else if you want a tattoo that lasts and looks good.

About a year later I wanted to start a sleeve for my self so my husband and I went in talked to Forrest about what I was wanting and he free handed the start of my sleeve !!! Needles to say we are still working on my arm ,we are close to be done so I'm already trying to figure out what is next !!! Forrest makes the tattoo experience fun and entertaining nothing better than listen to you artist sing while you get tatted !!! Lol Needlewerxs is now like my second home !!! My boyfriend and I went here on Friday to check this place out. We worked with Forest and he did a fantastic Day of the Dead forearm tattoo for my man. The price was very good, the shop was clean and Forest was alot of fun. He is the master of color and because my boyfriend had some tattoos already started on this arm, Forest was able to work the color and new tattoo into the existing beautifully. I will definately be going back for all of my upcoming tattoos.

Great experience! Had my nipples pierced here today and was glad this was the shop I chose. The staff was friendly, professional, and seemed to really care about their clients. I went in and the piercer was helping another customer with a tattoo and told me it would be a few minutes but I could go ahead and start filling out the paper work. He finished with the other client and I was out of there in ten minutes. His work was thorough and very sanitary, which is very important to me. Will more than likely choose this shop again when I get more work done.

He was SO HEAVY HANDED, my foot was the size of a football for 2 months! It was scarlet red and SO swollen I couldn't wear shoes for almost 8 weeks. I contacted him with photos of it and also let him know the ink had spread up under the skin all the way up to my little toe and the colors of the outline of the "flowers" had run. It looked terrible! He admitted it looked really bad,but he said when the swelling went down and it healed to come in and he would do what he could do to fix it. No charge. Absolutely NO WAY would I EVER let him touch my foot again! I actually thought I was going to lose my foot! My friend that is a nurse told me to go to a Dermatologist that said it was infected of course. The dermatologist asked what the tattoo was and then asked what were all the gray dots under the so called flowers. It was pretty embarrassing! Now I'm stuck with this ugly tattoo on my foot that the lines and colors have run under the skin and there's nothing I can do about it. I wish I would've left it alone. At least the script of Capt. Billy's was feminine and now I have this big ugly blob on my foot! And btw, I've NEVER had an infection of any kind, and always kept A&D on it and followed all directions just as I always have with all my other tattoos. I need some more work done on other tattoos, but I will NEVER recommend nor return to that place! For ONCE I'd like my tattoo work to reflect a good artist! One that really cared about their quality of work. I always seem to get the crappiest work done. I would be so thrilled to be able to show off beautiful work... I'm just a 65 year old woman that only wanted a pretty floral tat. I'm not young and pretty anymore so I guess I kinda get left out when it comes to anybody caring about what means something nice to me. I'm not wealthy so I didn't have the money to go back and have him look at it again and see what he could do, even if I wanted to. You know I feel that if he wasn't interested in doing that for me, or it wasn't his thing, he could have just referred me to someone that would've done the little bit I wanted. I wasn't asking for much. Just put some tiny flowers in the script even if you couldn't read the script, just make it look sweet. Obviously all he wanted was my hundred$ bill. Now instead of living the rest of my life out with something petite and elegant, I have this big ugly blob on my foot. I hate this thing...And for all the rest of my days. Sad.

I looked into this piercing a year ago, & couldn't just couldn't do it, I am petrified of needles. I'm so glad I picked this place, after researching so so many in the Austin area! An acquaintance got a piercing here because they had a good tattoo experience. It went bad and had to be removed by a plastic surgeon. Other piercing artist said the piercing was improperly done, which led to the problem. They agreed to refund the money, but then they posted to FB calling my acquaintance "entitled" and other stupid crap. Turns out they didn't even refund half, which is not what was agreed. It boggles my mind that a shop reliant on word-of-mouth and personal relationships would jeopardize that over $50 or whatever. Take your business elsewhere, these guys might be decent tattooists but they are jerks.

The owner was pretty rude to my friends and I when we went in. My friend asked for a tattoo - got patronizing commentary about the tattoo she's chosen to get. I wanted to get a second lobe piercing, and besides him telling me to shut up at some point (seriously), the piercings in each ear weren't even and I ended up having to take them out. I guess he didn't do a shit job on my friend's tattoo, though, so he's fine at that one aspect of his job.

If I could give them zero stars I would. I've been to this place twice and I've never had a good experience with them. If I call to make an appointment they are rude about. One of the tattoos I got from them is completely faded and I only got it a year ago. You can see in random places where they went too deep and then not deep enough. This is by far the worst tattoo place I've ever been to and I have 11 tattoos and being in the military I travel a lot and have been to a lot of different parlors. Go somewhere else if you want a tattoo that lasts and looks good.

About a year later I wanted to start a sleeve for my self so my husband and I went in talked to Forrest about what I was wanting and he free handed the start of my sleeve !!! Needles to say we are still working on my arm ,we are close to be done so I'm already trying to figure out what is next !!! My boyfriend and I went here on Friday to check this place out. We worked with Forest and he did a fantastic Day of the Dead forearm tattoo for my man. The price was very good, the shop was clean and Forest was alot of fun. He is the master of color and because my boyfriend had some tattoos already started on this arm, Forest was able to work the color and new tattoo into the existing beautifully. I will definately be going back for all of my upcoming tattoos.

Great experience! Had my nipples pierced here today and was glad this was the shop I chose. The staff was friendly, professional, and seemed to really care about their clients. I went in and the piercer was helping another customer with a tattoo and told me it would be a few minutes but I could go ahead and start filling out the paper work. He finished with the other client and I was out of there in ten minutes. His work was thorough and very sanitary, which is very important to me. Will more than likely choose this shop again when I get more work done.
