My cousin recommended and brought me into this shop after talking me out of piercing my nose at Claire’s. I had my ears pierced with a gun and one of my ear lobes hasn’t healed properly after about 2 years with them I only chose the gun because it was quicker and I have a fear of needles. The fear of needles makes me very anxious I suffer from anxiety and I was freaking out but my piercer was patient with me. Thank you Creative Tattoo for bearing with my annoying self as I was one of those difficult customers. The piercing was done is a matter of seconds didn’t even hurt more than the initial breaking of the skin! Very quick and sterile unlike the gun these guys are really professional. I went in for a spur of the moment tattoo. I wanted a small sloth on my arm, and the sloth ended up having 3 limbs and a pair of balls on the side. I went in to fix it. which he agreed to, he ended up tattooing a deformed arm and leg and a huge black blob instead of claws. It looked good at first and it just started heading south midway. He was nice and all but the tattoo just did not turn out well at all. Read Less

"You don't even know it but you're turning me on right now." The old dude that pierced my friends nipples was super creepy and we both couldnt have felt more uncomfortable. The cheap price was what drew us to this place but we totally regret it. He pierced her nipples too far back and didn't even connect all of the lines in my super simple tattoo. Took a friend in to get a daith piercing the guy handled the earring with his bare fingers then gave her a rook piercing instead..... Not the end of it now 3 days later and the ear is inflamed and red and her jaw hurts. Signs of a infection ... Going to go to another shop to have it looked at . Not happy with this place at all. Let me just tell you about this tattoo shop. January 16 was my birthday and I was turning 18, and for 7 years I had said I'm going to get my lip pierced on my 18th birthday, so after having a huge ordeal with another piercing place (another one that's going to get a bad review from me) I had decided to go here because I was angry at the other place and it was cheap (and of course after seven years of saying I'm getting my lip pierced I wasn't going to back out now). So I pull up, it already looks sketchy and isn't in the greatest area but I could deal with that and I wasn't going to judge from the outside. I go inside and as soon as I step in I'm "greeted" by a very unapproachable old man (again not judging on appearance but if you can imagine the word redneck this would be it). My friend was getting her belly button pierced so she went first and everything went smooth, though while she was in the chair I asked her what jewelry she was getting and she didn't know, so she asked and he said this one and showed it to her (not telling her what gauge it was or the material it was made out of but I wasn't really thinking about it) and after she got it pierced, he was telling her about aftercare (now that I think about it he also told her to clean it with rubbing alcohol) and told her he had a cleaning solution that she could buy (didn't tell her what it was but she bought it anyway and it has seemed to work for her). Now when I got into the chair, he used a marker and drew a dot where I wanted it done and pierced it. This is when things got questionable. As he was telling me about the aftercare, he told me to clean the outside with rubbing alcohol and the inside with Listerine (both of which I now know are definitely very incorrect) and again they never mentioned anything about the size of the bar or what material it was made out of. He did say that it may be a bit long because he was accommodating for the swelling. Well today, after my school told me I couldn't have my lip ring in, I went to go see if I could put in a retainer (not good for healing I know but I was desperate) and the piercing place I went to told me that the bar he put in was too short for my lip thickness (they should've had bigger sizes) and it was starting to embed into my skin and that the swelling should have gone down by now. Keep in mind it has been two weeks almost since I got it done and the swelling should have gone down within 5 to 7 days. They then told me that the bar they used was a low quality metal and was full of nickel (which I am very allergic to and yes I know I probably should've asked before getting it pierced but I was already angry about the other place and desperate to get it done) so long story short because of this place I then had to go all the way to Addison from Wylie to get my bar changed out and this entire piercing has ended up costing me $30 more than it should have. Basically if someone offers you a $25 piercing, it may end up ruining your life. Would not recommend and if I could give a lower rating than one star I would. Read Less

We had our wedding bands done by the owner & he did  explain to us beforehand that he can't guarantee finger tattoos, some places refused , only because they fade fast, so I was cool with that. He was very friendly the first visit. We took picture with us, just simple band. Our bands were horrible to say the least! I was in shock ! He said come back once they heal and I'll touch them up for free.obviously cause he knew they looked horrible. They healed. We went back he said there is nothing wrong with that.. uh, yes there is. He said I'll touch it up but it's $50 a pc. So ee now have big blobs of ink on our ring fingers . How does he keep business. Read Less

Farm-boy, with all the gentleness of a mentally retarded circus monkey, grabbed a stud with rusty pliers, handled an un-healed piercing with his filthy bare fingers, then had the audacity to lecture about touching dirty doorknobs. Excellent !!! MY HUBBY and I went here on my birthday , and we both got tattoos to symbolize our daughter Samantha . He got her name , which came out beautiful! !! And I got 3 stars on my for arm one for our daughter , my hubby , and myself . .. The artist , I cannot remember his name was so awesome and talked to us while getting them done. . I don't see his picture here ... and I have heard that he passed away from a motorcycle accident .. I wasn't sure. . But by looking and not seeing him makes me think so ... He was a funny , pretty cool guy and I will forever remember my 34th birthday August 9, 2014 , we got some great tats by a great man . ♡ Read Less

It was so-so. Def not a newer shop, the old man that owns it has been there for years and he is very old school. I got my nose pierced here. Not the best customer service, as the old man is very strict and straight forward, but my nose piercing looks good so I can't complain. Although he did tell me to clean it with rubbing alcohol which every piercer I've spoken with says that's a horrible idea. He isn't too up to date, and doesn't know all of the new and better ways to do things, but he gets the job done. Pretty cheap too so I guess you get what you pay for. Read Less

Martin was very friendly and allowed me to tell him what I wanted without any sales pressure. they have LOTS of art for you to look at in order for you to get an idea of what they can do. i didn't have to wait long and martin completed tattoo in a little over an hour. highly recommend! I am surprised to see only 4 reviews on Creative Tattoo. I am not surprised they are all good. I got a tattoo there today and I am so happy with the results! I was happy also because everything was explained to me before we started so I would know exactly what I was getting myself into. The process was much less painful than what I was expecting considering where I got the work done. I am looking forward to having more work done here in the very near future. I appreciate the honesty in explaining how long it would take to do my next piece as it involves somewhat intricate details. I can't say enough good things to do Creative Tattoo justice! I have been going to Martin for 15 years. I have 3 tats and all still look wonderful! I have 2 grown daughters who in their teen years wanted belly button and tounge pierced( thank the lord they out grew that). I would not have taken them anywhere else. I knew that I didn't have to worry about the piercing being done wrong or infection. The bad reviews on here I feel are from the competition and not for Martin. i had gotten my tattoo done at a different shop in dallas and something was not right. i went into creative tattoo because my friend got her belly button piercing there and tattoo and was very pleased with it. it was very clean and professional and they have over 15 years of experience. my belly button was getting infected and it was not healing properly, but thank god they came to the rescue and explained to me everything that was done wrong. they put in a different ring and explained to me the proper care that should have been told to me in the first place!
