I've been to many places where I think it is a good place. It's not until after I get my ink I look at it and have such a sad feeling. Not this place. Our dear friend who has had a sleeve done by Bobby (Bob Z) recommended this place to us. I can truthfully share that Bobby did an outstanding job. My consultation Bobby listened to what I wanted, Nightmare Before Christmas, and made some suggestions. He then set me up with an appointment for two months later. When I came in for my first inking he was very thoughtful and did a fantastic job. I could not have been more pleased. Out of 0-10 pain scale it was a 1 and that's not even a hurt. For my next appointment a month later was for color. Wow now that one hurt, I'd say a 7. I cried a lot. But not because he did anything wrong. Some places on my body hurt more than others. I was able to bring a pillow and blanket to make myself comfortable both times. Bobby was able to allow me to rest and make sure I was doing good. Very professional and very attentive. Bobby made me feel like I could trust him. We do. As a matter of fact this coming up sitting he's doing a Tardis and I know he will do amazing. I would trust him inking me anytime. My daughter will be 18 soon and Bobby will be trusted to do her first ink. Let me also say that Bobby does excellent galaxy color. This place is clean and big. Bobby also has others that he employs and they too are super talented and very professional. Over all I had a fantastic sitting, laughed, cried, held my breath, & had some wicked ink done. I came in to my appt with a sketch for a sleeve piece that was bigger than we discussed on the phone. Bob Z was my artist and has done such an amazing job. My first piece by him I just send him pictures of a few things I liked and he came out with this amazing piece! I just went in today for my 2 piece and let him come with everything for it, it was a total surprise and I'm so in love with these tattoos! I have 5 others and these 2 are by far my favorites! Hands down, this is where you want to go for any and all tattoos. First of all, I have never seen a cleaner shop. I have several tattoos myself and since visiting Symmetry 6, everywhere else fails in comparison. The artistic ability and originality brought by Bob's talented skill rank him in my book as number one. I went in for a cover up and to be honest, I was a little concerned. It's hard to trust people when it comes to such a permanent thing, especially when you're having to suffer the consequence of another artist's failed and horrendous piece of "art", lol it was bad. Bob eased all doubt the minute I walked in. I was treated with respect and enjoyed my stay. I walked out with the most beautiful, most detailed and most original piece I could have ever hoped for. I was very timid coming into a new place, it had been a few years since I had gotten tattooed. Bob Z (the owner) made me feel beyond comfortable! He was so welcoming and caring! The whole process was such a fun experience for me! He did a beautiful flower thigh piece and I am so incredibly pleased!!! I've been going to this shop ever since it has opened and i have been going to Bob even before he opened S6. Jose is the definition of an artist. So thorough with his prep work when it came to color scheme and shape and anatomy of my tattoo as a whole. Color is baller. This place is awesome. The artists are top notch not only in their ability but in their professionalism and candor. I have had two pieces done here, my wife has had some work here as well as my daughter and brother and every one of them have been excellent. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for some quality ink. That being said, don't show up at midnight expecting to find a bunch of flashes on the wall. This is not that kind of place. They work mostly by appointment as they are all excellent artists with a busy schedule. But if you have an idea and a picture of what you are wanting, they can help you develop your idea and talk it out with you and give you something truly great. Stop in and talk to the guys there. I came to this shop because of all the great reviews, expecting my small piece to be quick and clean. I've got several other tattoos so I thought this would be a nice, small addition to them. The artist was friendly and the shop was clean and comfortable. I was really happy with the version of the tattoo that he printed, so he got started. When he was finished I was so disappointed with the line work. The arrow is clearly too heavy on the front to be aesthetically pleasing. ...Instead of black and negative space like I asked for, there was shading. The lines that connect the word don't look straight, and I'm overall really underwhelmed. I wanted something simple, clean and feminine that I would be proud to show off since it's in a very obvious place. Now I'm trying to decide if I can keep anyone from noticing it's new. I asked for one specific place to be fixed and the artist was friendly enough about that, but it still didn't look straight. I already felt so upset I just wanted to get out of there. I came late to the world of tattoos. My first was in 2013. I was 50 years old. It was a tattoo of my son's portrait. Since my son has passed away in 2012 at the age of 20, this tattoo had to be good. My son had gotten several tattoos from Bob Z and I had always thought they were good work. So it naturally made sense -- for several reasons -- to ask Bob Z to do this important piece of work. Well, the results were amazing. Bob Z has talent. Not only was my tattoo memorable, but even now people, complete strangers, come up to me and remark how my son's image actually looks like, well, a real person! The lines are clean, the shading is realistic, and the image has all the depth and resonance that I could have ever asked for in a portrait piece. But what really set Bob Z apart was his heart. He has a terrific "bed side manner," if you know what I mean. And his heart shows in his pieces. There is something that sets his work apart from many other artists, and I think it's an intangible quality that might only best be described as love. Bob Z loves what he does, and he loves his clients. That quality shows in his designs and execution. Since that first tattoo, I have asked Bob Z to apply two more pieces. Each time, I consulted with him about broad concepts I had in mind. I'm not an artist, so I left the design up to him. He continued to impress me with his design choices. He was able to take my raw ideas and come up with a tattoo design that blew my mind with its placing, spacing, shading, storytelling, and beauty. People who have never had a tattoo always ask me, "Did it hurt?" Well, yes! Tattoos are NOT a pain-free experience! However, to me, pain is part of the creative process. In the same way that I understand women experience pain in the birth of a child and then soon exchange memories of the pain for the wonderful gift it produced, so too my tattoos have been created during a painful process, and yet the pain fades immediately and the remaining result is a thing of permanent beauty and love, a new part of me.
