I was turned away at a different tattoo shop in the stockyards because the guy said he doesn’t like tattooing bands around the wrist. I then found spinning needle and met the tattoo artist Charlie. The tattoo did turn out to be difficult but Charlie worked his ass off and it came out great. I couldn’t believe how fair the prices were also compared to other shops. My girlfriend and I got tattoos from Keith last night, and it was an awesome experience. He came highly recommended by a coworker and he is very talented. His line work is some of the cleanest I’ve ever seen, the tattoo I got from him is by far my best one. I got a letter “A” for my baby cousin, and my girlfriend got the cutest little campsite scene. She adores her piece as well. Keith was quick, friendly, and overall great. He’s confident in his abilities as an artist but doesn’t come off as cocky, nor does he overcharge for his work. I will definitely be back to see him, maybe even as soon as a few days from now! He’ll most likely become my regular artist! The shop itself is great as well, it was very clean and open. The overall atmosphere was dope. I recently discovered Spinning Needle Tattoos. The staff is friendly, the stations and equipment are clean and sterile, pricing is fair, and I also enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere. I wish I could give this place more than 5 stars. David Nieto is the best tattoo artist I have ever come across. Not only is he an amazing artist in the actual art, but he is professional, and kind, and funny as well. He makes the entire experience of getting a tattoo a blast, and something to remember as long as you have that beautiful ink on your skin! The shop here is CLEAN, and a great atmosphere as a whole. No drama, no crazy partying, just somewhere where amazing work is done through tattoos and piercings. I have 6 tattoos from here, and I drive over 2 hours to come. It's definitely worth it. First tattoo ever and I was scared! My husband got a tattoo and it looked amazing David Nieto was brilliant. The tattoo came out wonderful. So of course I was curious, but also terrified. He calmed me down. David was gentle and caring. I was a hot mess! Making loud noises and sobbing at one point and he made sure I was comfortable and he kept talking to me to relax. Had a great experience with Keith Countryman doing something pretty simple: Getting the Cubs logo on my calf. Though seemingly simple, getting as close to a perfect circle, let alone four separate arcs spaced and drawn consistently is actually one of the hardest things to accomplish on a rounded surface, and Keith did it to perfection. great experience! went and got my industrial done and it went by fast was great customer care. my sister had got two piercings done at another shop and they had wrong gauge and wrong metals in her piercings and as soon as we walked in the door he fixed it right up! highly recommend. will be coming back for any piercings after this one! It was well rated and clean. The artist was very polite and helpful and very honest about what I could and could not get done based on placement and skin tone and texture. The tattoo is just bad. It was a very small and simple tattoo but the lines are visibly crooked the circle is not round and the letters are crooked and spotty in areas. It's only been a day. I don't know if it can be fixed or if I'm looking for a cover up! My best friend and I got matching tattoos. Ahhhh! I really can't say enough great things about this shop! I've recently had quite a bit of work done by David (half sleeve, thigh piece, and a few other small tattoos) He has been amazing to work with, listening to my ideas, incorporating his own and bringing my visions to life. I am super picky when it comes to my tattoos and he never once complained if I wanted him to add something more or tweak something here and there. I go back to get my sleeve colored in soon and I can't wait! I'd HIGHLY recommend him! Beyond that all of the guys in the shop are really nice and easy to interact with. Prices are reasonable and I always feel comfortable when there. It's super clean and a fun atmosphere. I've not gotten a tattoo here and I don't plan to. I chose to get my very first piercing there and on my tongue. I walk in with my husband and get completely ignored for about 45 minutes. I finally get some blonde dude to help me out and I tell him what I want, he takes me to a room, quickly pierces it, does not tell me ONE word of care advice but instead hands me a super small hard to read care instruction paper, takes his money, and did not even say bye as i waved and walked out. SUPER RUDE and unattentive and so unprofessional. i looked up care instructions online and followed them religiously. two weeks later my piercing is still flooding blood to the point where my whole mouth and teeth are inked red. I call the tattoo shop to ask for advice and of course the same guy who had done the job answers. When my husband tells him what's going on he says, "Uh, yeah. That's normal. Just uh... tell her to keep using mouthwash to yeah to um get all that crap out of there." then he simply hung up. My husband and i were like WHAT?!?!? seriously? Either way we wait a few hours just to make sure we're not being paranoid or over attentive and the blood does not stop... We call back and a different person answers, we tell him what's going on, and he quickly says "No that's not normal that can be dangerous, tell her to take it out immediately." So much for that. They are rude, unprofessional, amateur, need better staff. Do NOT go there if you want quality work. Read Less
