So.. I've heard of many perspective clients bullshitting the artists.. but I've never heard of an artist bullshitting a client. I told Justin Smith a week ago that I liked his work and that I wanted a piece done. I work 60+ hours a week and I don't have time to be bullshitted. I showed him the ideas I had and he says okay just send me those in a text and we can get you in Saturday. So I try to text call, no response. I even tried to go talk to him thinking maybe I had punched in his number wrong. When I finally get in touch with the guy at the shop, expecting my tattoo for tomorrow he tells me "oh I really don't want to add on to anyone else's work" Why couldn't you have said this from the jump and not wasted my time. I even offered a deposit which he said wouldn't be an issue at all. Me and my wife and family have gotten tatted at Royal 1. I recommend people to go there all the time. We've spent thousands on tattoos at this shop, and now I can say for this i will not be returning. He could have grew a set of balls and said that he didn't want to do it. Total waste of my time and unprofessional as f***. Used to love this place. Got tatted by multiple artists at this shop and loved the results, but I'm not recommending anyone to this place again, nor will I set foot and spend another red cent in this place. Read Less

JayTee was amazing. I came in with a botched tattoo from another artist. Jay made sure I was fit into his schedule. He made sure to know all the details of exactly what I wanted to fix my tattoo and make me happy. My skin was still healing from the other artist, and Jay informed me that some of my black outline that was still healing was blown out in parts and was not ready to be tattooed on. He said I needed to let it heal a bit, and I understood that. I appreciated that he took the time to access my skin so that he would not further injure my tattoo that was previously traumatized. Jay was friendly and really nice, he's a cool laid back dude and a great artist. He was gentle on my skin, and was not heavy handed at all. He fixed my tattoo up and I was so much happier after his improvements. The colors are brighter and overall it looks kick ass. Awesome. ☺ Read Less

Aaron (piercedbytoastface) was amazing! Husband got his bellybutton pierced and I got a dermal on my chest and an industrial in my right ear. He did a great job. Super fast, no pain. Royal 1 did my Lucille Ball tattoo back in 2013. Here we are 4 years, almost 5 years after and i still am stopped anytime i have her in full view by people who absolutely love the work and detail. I've also had many tell me they hate tattoos but they loved how well done the "art" on my skin looks. My experience was awesome and I would send anyone who wants good ink to them. walked in for my industrial today. have only had a couple piercings and tattoos before. aaron got to me right away. everyone was friendly. the piercing room was clean. aaron talked me through it and told me what to expect. hurt like hell (& still does, & apparently will for some time) but he made it quick and easy. i could've even done it on my lunch break. i called about 30 minutes later for advice about bleeding (im a bleeder) and he answered my questions and advised me. would definitely recommend! Aaron was absolutely AMAZING!! I went in to get my tragus done & possible my septum (possibly because i was too scares) but he put all my worries to rest & I ended up getting both !! A friend of mine where searching for the best place in Fort Worth to get his first tattoo. Me, having 6 pieces already, knew he needed a fantastic artist to do the job the way he wanted it. He helped me find some reference pictures and after picking a few things I liked, he put all the things I liked together and came up with a beautiful piece. I was highly recommnded to Royal 1 by friends after i moved here from Austin. I have gotten several piercings by Troy, and he always took time to make sure i got the right size jewelry for each piercing.They all came out great.And they are clean and the nicest shop i have been into.Last time i went in there they have another piercer. I think his name is Andrew.He did dermals on me which have been healing great . I get lots of compliments on them.He also did my daughter s nose piercing which turned out great.
