Super professional. Got my cartilage pierced with my friend by a guy whose name start with an M (sorry haha). He was very calm, cool, and collected while piercing our ears, and was meticulous on the cleanliness. I have a few piercings, and this one hurt THE MOST. I asked him if it's normal for this piercing to hurt and he told me it is actually one of the more painful places. My mother and I, yes my sixty something year old mom and I went to Lucky Horseshoe Tattoo Monday. We had a great time ! My mother's only complaint was she wished she had gotten some of the little stars she requested . But Ron the artist had great talent and a light hand never causing mom hardly any pain! As for me, Ron's challenge was to cover a pretty large and nasty scar that I had been desperate to get rid for years. It was an ugly reminder of the hell i endured. I had an extremely awful experience here. I will admit I ended up going late in the evening with two other patrons to all get piercings. I was told that due to the nature of our peircings (which were all the same), the women would have to pay $20 more for ours then the man. I understand the rules of paying for what you get but, in my opinion that was inappropriate. I spoke to the man at the front about my confusion as to why this was the case. He was very polite but went to get the piercer (another man) Who was extremely rude to me and yelled at me. Keep in mind I did not raise my voice once nor did I cause a scene. They asked me to leave, which I did after speaking with my friends who stayed. His behavior was both rude and unprofessional. I am someone who has 9 tattoos and now (after finding a much better shop) 5 professional body piercings. I'm not sure that the evening is the time to go into this establishment. I got my second tattoo here. I got a spine tattoo and was a little nervous. Everyone here made you feel so welcome and comfortable and gave you lollipops during the process and stress balls. My friend and I went to get our noses pierced together and it was a great experience. Stephanie did an awesome job and made it such a painless process. Everyone in the shop was incredibly friendly, it's all kept super clean, and the vibes are great. I had a piercing done here. The piercer was very professional and followed very good sterile practices. Unfortunately the ball came off of my curved barbell and the piercing came out. I did everything correctly but bad things sometimes happen to good people. I returned to the shop a week later and the piercer was no longer employed. I don't know maybe he deserved it. My problem is that I was not offered any kind of discount to be repierced nor could they provide an option to be pierced by someone else. I was given the name, no phone number, or address of another tattoo shop. Which by the way would not pierced me. I checked with several shops in Fort Worth and no one did pubic piercings. I was a loyal customer to this shop and got multiple tattoos there last year. I don't know what has happened there since then but I went in a couple weeks ago to get one tattoo touched up as well as something new. The girls at the front desk are very sweet and try to be accommodating but the "artists" there now need a major ego check. One guy came over to see what I wanted and said "I'm not f****ng touching her" to the girl up front right in front of me like I wasn't even there. Then he walked away. Another "artist" came up and started talking about doing a coverup on my existing tattoo that I love (and got there last year). When I said I maybe just wanted it touched up they started laughing in my face saying how bad it looked and how embarrassed I must be to have it. I got the hell out of there very quickly and went down to Bonehead tattoo down camp Bowie where not only did I get a touch up and a new tattoo for HALF THE PRICE OF LUCKY HORSESHOE but was treated with kindness and respect. LH has let the fact they are located in a tourist trap and are therefore busy get to their heads. A pretty decent tattoo shop. It's clean and there are friendly employees (and some who will ignore you for twenty minutes when you walk in). I got my first tattoo there by pork chop. It was a nine word lyric on my collarbone in my handwriting and I am SO happy with how it turned out, but he charged me $100 for it :/. I think it should have been $60 or $70 because the font is so small and it took like twenty minutes. I feel like he was kind of scamming us because me and my girlfriend are young. Nevertheless six months later I went back there to get my nose pierced by Stephanie. DEFINITELY recommend going to her for piercings! She knows what she's doing and is nice and helpful if you have questions. I've had my nose pierced before & they put a hoop in which Stephanie wouldn't even do because she said they're really hard to heal. Anyway the hoop got infected because they didn't tell me any instructions on how to take care of it. She provided me a detailed sheet of what to do and how long it'll take to heal and everything. Was a very busy tattoo shop.  Called at 6pm on a Saturday, told them what we were looking for, and they said to come down, put our name on the list, and they'd get to us in 1.5-2 hours.  So we did just that.  3 hours later, I had to call them to see if we had got skipped bc I hadn't heard anything from them, they said we still had about an hour wait. Disappointed with the lack of communication, but it was very clean and neat inside.  Didn't end up getting tattoos from them after all, he said it would take too much time.  Would have been nice to know that before we waited 4 hours. Tonight I returned for my third tattoo because this place is so awesome I have no desire to go anywhere else. I've had a different artist each time I've been here and I've been pleased with the quality of each one. This shop has very talented artists! On this visit I had the pleasure of meeting the owner, Thomas, who took an interest in what I wanted and heard what I was trying to convey. I had a piece that I liked, it has special meaning to me, but I wasn't loving it. Thomas heard me, looked at some ideas I had, and then came up with just what I was looking for but wasn't able to articulate well. He made me feel like he had a vested interest in me walking away with a piece I loved. In a little over two hours I walked away with two things: An awesome piece I now love! I went for a daith piercing and had no idea what to expect. Stephanie was great! I had read reviews online how people were saying they were sore for several days afterwards (not from here, just online articles). I was totally prepared for some pain afterwards. This experience was awesome. I've been wanting a hand tattoo for years and within the last month I started to act on my desires. I came in on a Saturday night and met Will to discuss and design my custom tattoo. We collaborated through the week and he sent me his drawings to proof. The next Friday, the 24th we began with the outline. Yesterday, the 1st Will finished the color in my super awesome phoenix. Will was phenomenal and he took my idea and made it more than I ever dreamed of. I must say that this is a very nice shop, extremely clean, and the artistry was incredible. I didn't have time to get it done until the next day so I just quickly described what I wanted to Nate, and the next day he had drawn up exactly what I wanted. I was a walk-in. They took me right away. My artist was Nate. Within a couple of minutes of describing my idea he had it nailed. While he prepped I walked next door to a Lebanese restaurant for a beer. 30 minutes later I was getting worked on. Nate has amazing talent. And he's very fast. The shop was very clean. Everyone was very friendly. Just by glancing at all of the artists portfolios and wall art it is obvious that every artist there is excellent at what they do. I was obviously nervous and he made me feel very comfortable and even help me with a hypoallergenic ring.My friend wanted an industrial but he said he couldn't do it because her ear was too small. I love Lucky Horseshoe.  My hubby and I have been going there for a little over two years.  He got his nipple re-pierced and has had several "13" tattoos done.  I find it a little bit trendy and didn't just want to have a tattoo for the sake of following the crowd so I waited until I thought of a good reason.  My husband's last number 13 tattoo there was in the shape of a key, so I decided I wanted to get a lock with a matching pattern of the key and a heart around it so he could have the key to my heart.  You can puke from cuteness now.A brief explanation for those outside the D/FW area.  Elm Street Tattoo in Dallas started a special several years ago for a $13 flash tattoo with the number 13 on Friday the 13th to bring in customers.  It took off and now everybody does it.  Hence, "I don't like being trendy."We took a friend who hadn't been inked in awhile and when we walked in, she recognized the artist who'd done her last big pieces.  One was an 18th century sailing ship, the other was a portrait of her grandfather in his Navy uniform.  Since she knew the artist and wait lines can get a little long on the 13th we figured it would be easier if all three of us just got inked by him.  This, unfortunately, was a mistake.  In the time it took the other artists to do one good quality tat, he knocked out all three of us.  None of us were particularly pleased with what could be barely passable as scratcher art (despite 20+ years of experience), least of all me.  Since the tattoo I was getting was considered tier 2, it was more expensive even though it ended up being simpler than some of the tier 1 flash.  I even drew the guy a picture of what I wanted.  It was modified slightly, but I didn't mind paying the extra.  Did he follow the design?  Did he make it match my hubby's (who was standing right there watching)?  No.  Quite frankly, the dude was just trying to get as many tips as possible and didn't care. I PM'ed Thomas through Facebook with the photo and the first thing he said was "Are you sure you got this at Lucky Horseshoe?  What artist did this?"  I gave the description and asked how much it would be for me to pay Thomas to do a rework.  He basically said not to worry about it and just took an appointment.  Before and after photos to be posted shortly.It was actually Porkchop who did my touch up, and he's just awesome.  It turns out, all new artists are not automatically hired.  They have to do a 30 day trial to make sure things are going to work out.  The original artist was in the last few days of his trial period and I got the strong impression that he wasn't going to be asked to stay.  Porkchop did a great job and confirmed there was no charge.  I thanked him and gave him a $20 tip.  Because of the great work ethic the permanent artists and the owner have, I will continue to make Lucky Horseshoe my go-to parlor. It is like visiting a friend that is going to poke you a million times with a really sharp needle! Thomas is extremely friendly and warm. My tattoo is crisp, clean, bright and amazing.
