I'm not one to do anything rebellious, so for me, getting a helix piercing was going to be a fun outing/experience...or so I thought. I didn't stumble upon epic tattoos, but rather I did my "research" and ended up choosing this establishment after reading the yelp reviews. I liked that people raved about this place and spoke positive of their experiences there and with the people. I finally decided to write a review after my second visit and here it is... I walked in on a Friday night and asked to get a helix piercing. There were two gentlemen at the front who informed me of the price, took my info and handed me the waiver. It was all fine until the woman who did my piercing came out from the side. She was informative about the after care (I will give her that), but she was so passive aggressive at the same time, she almost talked me out of getting it. She repeated to me several times how I could not go swimming or even step foot on a beach for eight months. I finally decided to tell her that I did want to get it and I stepped back there and in less than five minutes I came out with a new piercing. I'm not sure what she did faster- pierce my cartilage or kill my buzz. I left a little disappointed that my experience had not been the best but I was happy with the piercing. Fast forward to one week later and I went back because the ball of my earring popped off after I carefully wrapped my hair in a towel after washing it. I explained this to the guy at the front and he invited me in to get it fixed. I was then met by the same woman who had done my piercing who appeared slightly annoyed and said she could fix it for me this time, but there was usually a charge for that. I understood but I explained to her that it had just popped off and I was unable to put the ball back on the earring myself, which was why I even went back. I walked out of there, a second time, with no desire to be back. To sum it up, I have no issue with the piercing. It turned out fine. But if you're looking forward to a great experience, one which you can look back and think of how much of an "epic" time you had, this is not the place. Got my first tattoo done today by Aj. He was super nice and checked on me the entire process and made sure I liked how it was coming out in between each step. Highly recommend and will be coming back in a few weeks for another one. Update: So I thought I ruined my tattoo or something because the next morning I took a shower and when I looked at a few hours later some black ink had oozed out of the bandaging and down my leg. So of course I went back at the end of my shift and the two guys that were there told me that the seal on the bandage had broken and it was as no but deal. One of them cleaned it up and then made sure I knew the after care before I went about my day. Though the shop was nice and looked clean, the vibe was not welcoming. A friend of mine and I came in for two small tattoos and were essentially told the tattoo artists were too busy to talk to us and that there was another person waiting. Understandable, except that I could see the artist taking a break from the tattoo he was currently working on. So when he did come up to talk to us we were not given an expected time frame as to how long our wait would be. We were just told to sign in and wait. Keep in mind, there was another person waiting in line ahead of us who could have very well been getting a tattoo that would take hours to complete and it appeared the artist was currently working on a fairly large, time consuming piece anyway. I came here with my husband to get a couple of piercings done a few days ago. Mitzi was at the front counter helping another customer, but she made sure to acknowledge us and get me the paperwork I needed to get started. I came here to get a particular set of piercings done, and ended up getting my industrial as well. I was a little nervous, but between Mitzi, my husband, and another customer, they were able to get me to calm down. We got taken back and Mitzi was very professional and made sure to keep everything clean and sanitized. She was very quick and made sure that I was prepared before each piercing. I go to Cat for all my piercings. She's the best ever. She is on point with properly marking an area so its not dumb looking after she is done. She is quick and accurate!  As far as tattoos: they're all so talented but AJ is my fave. Bill I guess moved but he's done one of my tattoos and one of my daughter's and both rocked. Kory did one of my daughter's as well and it was also amazing. Epic charges a bit more than some  shops out there but you definitely get what you pay for and I can completely back them up with their pricing for their art. Its not overpriced for their talent. Some shops overprice and most suck. They're too confident and I have had to get things fixed at Epic. So do yourself a favor and go there to begin with. I would rather have my artwork perfect than pay an arrogant amateur who makes people say wtf when I show them. I only ever get huge compliments and immediately say "go to Epic." Kory Anguish is the man!My wife has 2 tattoos from him and I now have one of my own. Kory is a fantastic artist and really knows his stuff. I handed him an idea I'd been sitting on for 9 years and was always nervous that when I finally handed it to an artist, it would fall short of my hopes and anticipations. Kory knocked it out of the park though, and I couldnt be happier with it! The placement and flow on my arm is wonderful, as is the design. The line work is very clean and the shading is great!He's also really flexible. I decided to change the placement day-of and he had no problem with it. "We can do whatever you want" he said. I got my nipples pierced here. I would definitely recommend coming to this place. My friend recommended this place to me as to this being the place where she and 3 other friends got their nipples pierced. One friend had to get her nipples redone and came here for a re-piercing. This is one of the cheaper places to get nipple piercings because they charge $20 for each nipple where other places charge $35 per nipple. The woman who pierced me also pierced all of my friends and is a pretty casual, experienced, and professional woman who knows what she's doing. She didn't rush me at all or make me feel uncomfortable even though I was nervous and shaking. She was understanding and quick with the procedure. She asked if I liked the placement of the piercing and didn't complain when I asked her to redo them. She also gave me a warning to breathe before she stuck the needle in. She gave a quick run down of how to take care of the piercings and was open to my questions. She also stays in contact with her past clients and would gladly answer any concerns or questions. She didn't seem like she was in a rush and let my friend and I have a good experience. This place also has a restroom. They have a no video policy but you can take photos. The area I was pierced in was clean and closed so no one would see. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to get a nipple piercing. Just got my piercing done today by Cat she is awesome, She broke it down for me what they best piercing the type I wanted to get which was a vertical tragus piercing. She was fast and efficient and I will be back to get my other side done. Plus it didn't hurt at all!!!!.. I've been pierced here 5 times, split between both female piercers (one is Cat, but I can't recall the other's name). I have never had a bad experience, it was very clean every time, with new jewelry, gloves, sterile equipment; everything you would expect and hope for. They have a nice private room where you are pierced, and I was given clear and detailed instructions on aftercare and the healing process. I was also encouraged to call if ever there was an issue with any of my piercings or if I had any questions. Every single piercing was done perfectly (perfectly straight, good jewelry, no issues with healing). I can't speak from experience from the tattoo side of things, but if you are looking for a reputable place to get a piercing, I recommend this one. Read Less

I had a Gish piercing done and it was done poorly. Much too low and the piercing was too small a gauge. The piercer was cold but got the job done. The captive bead came off my piercing a few days later and the piercing came out. I returned several times and only one piercer does pubic piercings and once I came in on a day she was working she showed no concern for the fact I would have to be re-pierced. Several of the staff are downright nasty and rude. Do not go here if you expect any kind of customer service or just simple civility. Clearly several of the staff simply don't give a f*ck. Read Less

Everything was great until the end. Piercing wasn't bad at all but towards the end of the appointment . When I had to pay the rest on my card , since there was a misunderstanding of how much I wanted to get pierced . I was told it was going to be another 20$ for the other piercing on my ear . So I agreed to pay that 20 on my card . So I was expecting to just pay a total of 100. 40$ for my ears because I had a total of 2 ear piercings . 20$ for my belly And 20$ for my nose (And I was told in the beginning that it would be 20$ EACH for a basic piercing like this ) And the lady that pierced me I even told her how I EXPECTED for it for be just 20$ more. And she said ' no problem ' So I trusted it. Cause that was Reassuring to me that she knew and only that amount should be deducted . But I come to find out that following day that an extra 20$ was charged on my card . Because I went to the bank to see my history of what I spending this week . And it said 40$ was deducted from my card yesterday . So I ended up spending a total of 120 yesterday ... That was the only thing I didn't appreciate so will not be coming back here ✌🏼 Was hoping for a better experience than this one . But the dishonesty is just baffling to me . So disappointed. I praise this place so much! I highly recommend this place for piercings!  I got my nose pierced and showed up maybe 10 minutes after opening without an appointment. I was in and out within 15 minutes!!! No promises the wait won't be that way every time but I felt very comfortable. I was a bit nervous but the person who pierced me helped a lot! I love how patient they are and how willing they listened to what I wanted. Most places give you dirty looks if you want something changed when they draw a tattoo for you, not here. They were extremely patient, and very willing to make sure I was completly happy with what I was putting on my body. They were even more anal than I was about the correct placement as well lol. Super disappointing! Was told on a Friday that it was walk in appointments only. So we get there at 1p.m and were not asked any questions just told to sign in. They act like they are inconvenienced by you even coming in! Finally when I was up I was told by the artist the piece I wanted was to big to be done? I think that's completely untrue. This shop is absolutely amazing! The first thing I noticed when I walked in was the doctors office smell...You could tell it was very clean and sterile! I went in to get both of my third lobes and my left helix... I went back about a week later to get my right helix! A few months later, I went for my left tragus, and a few days after that my right! Mitzi pierced me every time, I think she is phenomenal! She is patient, and precise. They used individually wrapped needles, clamps, etc, every time, so you can rest-assure that you are being very well taken care of, and are in a professional shop. I've always heard good things about this place, last time I went in the tattoo artist was a dick and told me he couldn't do the tattoo I wanted because he couldn't make it as small as I wanted( not even that small he was just a total douche bag, I ended up going to mild and wild they get all my tattoo business now, their located on rufe snow I recommend checking them out before you waste you money here) now for piercings I don't know if she was just having a bad night or what because I've actually gotten a few piercings from here but the last time I went. AJ is the man. He's done several of my tattoos, and the one he designed and tattooed with very little input from me is the one that gets all the compliments. People stop me all the time to compliment the work and ask where I got it done. Of course I tell them all the same thing: You HAVE to go see AJ at Epic!!! My husband and I have been going to AJ at Epic for all of our tattoos (we're both working on sleeves) since we first walked in a year ago. We refuse to go anywhere else. We've been in the shop pretty often over the past year and have had the opportunity to interact with and see the work of several of the other artists as well, and I confidently recommend them all. I am giving them 3 stars. My friend and I went for nose piercings. The staff was not too friendly and gave the vibe that they wished you weren't there. I went into Epic tattoos because I have seen so many people walking around with terrific ink, and everytime I've asked they have said Epic Tattoos. So I went in on a Saturday night and the place was packed. The staff was good about keeping track of who was first because they have a sign in list. The girl up front let me know about how long before an artist opened up. So I went next door to the head shop and checked out their stuff, then headed back over to the tattoo shop. Rudy was my artist who helped me, and man did he do a freakin' awesome job. I went to Epic Tattoo to check the place out and look at some of the artist's portfolios. I was amazed with all of the artist's work. I was very clean and they showed me their tattoo guns that are powered by compressed air; Very Cool.I decided to work with Nick and my 1st session was great and my 2nd session was even better. I went to Epic to get my lip pierced. I have 8 other piercings and felt comfortable with the shop. Less than 36 hrs later my lip was so swollen that the back of the post was completely dug into my lip and it was cutting me. It was starting to get infected as well. I did everything that I was told to do in my aftercare, rinsed my mouth out after eating/ smoking, kept ice on it as much as possible and took ibuprofen for the swelling. I called and talked to my piercer who assured me that it was normal and to continue what I was doing. The next morning my lip was even worse. I could not take the pain but since it was a Sunday, few places were open at 11 when I woke up. I finally found a shop that opened at noon and was waiting when they opened. The piercer there told me that 1) I was pierced in the wrong place on my lip, 2) The jewelry post was too short which caused constriction and made my piercing worse and 3) I was pierced with too big of a gauge of needle. When I called Epic back and explained what was wrong, the man I spoke to was very rude and refused a refund and tried to say that I did something to cause the problems. I would NOT recommend this shop to anyone! Read Less
