Took my daughter here for a cartilage piercing. Piercer was very sweet to her and made her comfortable. One negative: Piercer let her choose an open hoop for her initial jewelry. After 6 weeks, the piercing was not healing properly. Went back in, they changed her jeweler to a barbell and voila! Beautiful piercing that is healing well. I went here for my first and probably my only tattoo, I was definitely nervous but I'm talking to my friend calmed me down. I don't regret it for a second, it was my friends second time she went there and referred me to it. I drove almost 5 hours from San Antonio to visit and go get my Fairy Tail tattoo. It was very clean and professional and they open the needles in front of you so you won't have to worry about that. A very "chill" place to go. The artist's name was bubbles and she did an excellent job on both mine and my friends tattoo, I get tons of compliments on it. The female cashier was really nice and I totally recommend this place even if you have to drive a while to get here They also sell body jewelry, hand local artist art there and I bought a really cool Spider-Man one. Only regret I have is at the time I had forgotten the tattoo artist name and when I gave her a tip I kind of just waved in front of her, 99% sure her name was bubbles so if you read this I'm sorry about that. The lady that was supposed to do my piercings came out smelling like weed. Then she wanted us to pay before hand. So if she fucked it up I just would've been screwed. Went to jack, the owner and was very unimpressed with his level of artistry for the price that was charged. I hate my tattoo, as it is so incredibly dark. We obviously were not on the same page about the background color I wanted, or the design..: it's so dark that it will look like a large purple blob in about three years. I've been to the shop a few times. Tried to ask pricing for a tattoo with a guy that worked there (forgetting his name) and he didn't even try to look at it or have any advice but just tell me to do "all you can take for $600" then went back to get my Tragus earring changed and the lady in the cash register specifically told me that it was surgical steel but it wasn't and got my Tragus infected so I went back to change it and another lady told me they didn't sell ones like that while I told her that's where I got it from... maybe I just go in on bad days but won't be coming back here. I chose Daddy Jacks after reading positive reviews from other clients and was not disappointed. I recently lost both my parents, 7 weeks apart and was seeking a way to honor them in ink. On 06/07 I set an appointment with Bubbles who inked an awesome mom and dad rose tattoo on my forearm. Words can't express my satisfaction with the art and my overall experience at the shop. Bubbles and the staff were very kind and friendly. The shop was very clean,cleaner than some medical facilities I've seen in my life time. I went to Daddy Jack 6 years ago for my first tattoo and unfortunately moved away afterwards. When I came back I was pleased to find out he got his own tattoo shop and I haven't been to any other tattoo shop since! Okay so: I got my nose pierced here around 3 years ago. The piercing was consistently not healing and was pierced SO crooked that I had to go back to the shop with the jewelry I wanted to put in it because I physically couldn't put it in myself. When I came to the shop for them to change it for me the girl who was trying to put it in even asked "where in the world did you get this done?!" When I said "here" she got really quiet and then proceeded to tell me they were going to need to repierce my nose. After very many painful moments she repierced me and put the new jewelry in. A couple of days after, my skin was so irritated that skin began to grow OVER the piercing causing me to have to quite literally rip the piercing out of my face. Never coming back here again. Researched for months before ending up at Daddy Jacks, money wasn't the issue as much as finding an artist whose work I would want displayed for a lifetime. I set up an appointment for the initial consultation, and jack was extremely helpful. Was kinda shocked that he drew the art up on the day of the tattoo, but as backed up as he is there's no way he can keep up with everyone's art. Day of the tattoo he blew my mind with how he was gonna transition so many drawings into one... piece. It was phenomenal watching him work, I didn't realize you could mix so many colors, one time he was probably blending 3-4 colors to get the right shade. The work he did that day was an Iraq war scene with a Purple Heart coming up through the middle. He defiantly did it justice, and I'm comfy in the fact that it's the best patriotic scene ever tattooed on someones body. He has something that's rare to find and that's an unblemished artistic eye for perfection. At this point I've had two pieces done, a half sleeve was the first one, and the start to the upper part of the arm. The second tattoo session was just as pleasant as the first. Not sure if he got around to taking a pic, but this pinup he did is out of this world. It looks extremely realistic, I've never seen anyone able to blend skin tone in a tattoo like he does. I had her try to correct the tattoo this time to make it more of what I originally wanted and she wasn't happy with that. I wasn't too impressed with her work. I got a black and grey piece done by Lob and he did not disappoint! It turned out absolutely amazing! The detail within the tattoo was incredible. I gave Lob an idea of the design I wanted and he drew out a perfect representation of what I was looking for. You can tell he is very passionate about what he does and it shows in his work. First off this is not my first tattoo, or first time in a tattoo studio. I was very impressed from the time we walked in and still after my tattoo is done. Kat was very welcoming. Bubbles did a great job on my tattoo, she even helped me cry out some emotional tears. It was very healing mentally and she understood why I was there. I am sure my husband is honored at the great work she did on my memorial tattoo. I will be back to see her soon, she had me cracking up a good part of the night. John did a great job on my daughters first tattoo. She loves it and it is very pretty. I honestly can't tell you if they deserve a 1 star of 5 star because I never got past the receptionist. I walked in on 3/11/17 asking for information because I had never had a tattoo. I was told to pick an artist style I liked and book an appointment. I had no clue what artist style I wanted I had never had a tattoo before and was looking for info on what it's like, best placement, cost, and to throw some ideas around to be given help deciding on an artist. I just felt li...ke since it was my first tattoo, and I didn't know what or who I wanted, I was being dismissed. So I took my questions down the street to another shop where both artists spent time listening to me and my questions and concerns and gave me some ideas to take home and think about. This was about 30 minutes of their time, and one even spoke to me while he was working, they were actually interested in satisfying a potential new customer. Needless to say, I went back that evening and got my very first tattoo from that shop and will always go back to them. I have two tattoos that Daddy Jack did this time I was not able to get an appointment with him as he was booked up . One of his other artist did my tat that I got on Sunday afternoon 3/5/17 . The artist name is Lobsta and he did a kick ass job on my tat . I showed him a picture of what I wanted I sat down and he hand drew it out on the spot that I wanted it and to work he went . After reading reviews I decided to come here to get my navel and ears re-pierced. I am so glad I did! I went to epic the first time I got them pierced and the difference between epic and Daddy Jacks was huge! First the store itself is so much cleaner and a more welcoming environment. Chandler at the front desk was super friendly and helpful. They also have a large jewelry selection which was great. Amber did my piercings and I would highly recommend her! She was so friendly and took the time to really get it right. She didn't make me feel rushed or make me feel stupid for feeling nervous (like the other place had before). She also suggested moving my ear piercing over a little from the original spot and I am so thankful for that! It looks great. Not sure if it is the way they sterilize or how Amber did the piercings but they hardly hurt at all (opposite of the other place). Do yourself a favor and go to Daddy Jacks!! I had seen advertising for Daddy Jack's around so I checked their Yelp page and they got pretty good reviews. I had wanted to get my nose pierced for a while. I called a couple times just to get information and they were really friendly and eager to answer any questions I had. When I came in, they were super friendly. I payed upfront, picked out my jewelry and waited for my turn. When it was my turn, Kimberley was super nice and friendly and also answered all the questions I had. I wasn't really nervous but she still was very calming and reassuring. The piercing was super quick , and she also put in the jewelry quickly. The studio was clean, the staff were friendly and reassuring, the price was very reasonable.One warning about getting piercings done there, though: the Internet and all of my friends keep telling me I'm supposed to be washing my new piercing with a saline wash that the piercing place gave me afterward... but they gave me no such thing. Just said to use water and antibiotic soap. The piercing has been oozing a little and I can't help but wonder if it would heal more easily if I had the proper saline stuff. Read Less

I got a fairly large tattoo here on June 8, and I'm in love. I get compliments on it all the time and people always want to know where I went so that they can go too. Brandon was my artist, and I intend to go back to him in the future.The shop was clean, open, and inviting. My tattoo took several hours, and while I was there, the owner had his band practice. This caught me off guard at first, and I was a little irked by it, but it ended up being a wonderful distraction from that stage in tattooing where you just can't wait to be finished.
