I had a pinup done by Carl and am absolutely in love with it! Prior to this I didn't have any serious work done so I was nervous reaching out to someone so experienced. Carl was absolutely amazing to work with on this. He was super easy to communicate and didn't have the aggressive stereotyped personality I was expecting. He worked with me via email giving feedback on general designs until we arrived to what I wanted. During this process I could truly feel the passion he has behind his work which was my biggest concern when finding an artist. The piece meant a lot to me and I wanted someone special to design and tattoo it. Carl was absolutely that person. The day of my appointment I had second guesses on where to place the tattoo d/t work and medical reasons. Carl picked up on it right away. Instead of getting aggravated he spent extra time trying to find the best spot. I'm so glad he took the time to do this because I absolutely couldn't imagine my pinup anywhere else. They sent me home with soap and lotion which was super appreciated as everything I have is scented and wouldn't have worked. While I was there the shop was discussing putting in a care instructions card for reminders (hope they do this because that would be great!) The tattoo is beyond what I imagined. It captures my personality and everything I wanted it to represent. I highly, highly recommend even for those tattoo newbies out there like me .

When I moved here from Houston last year I did a ton of research & social media stalking to find my new local go to piercer. I fell in love with Ursula's work on Instagram and sent her a message. She responded quickly & told me to stop by whenever I wanted. Once I met her in person I knew I will never go to anyone else. She is so fun & knowledgeable. She makes everything a breeze. She has done my septum, daith & 2 tragus piercings within the past year. When one was irritated she had me change soap & gave me a no pull piercing disk & a little salt to soak my piercing in & it healed perfectly. She gives the best service all around. I think of her more as a friend than my piercer. She will definitely be the only one I let poke me & take all my money! If I could rate her 100 stars I would! I absolutely love her!

Super easy to make appointments online but I happened to be in Deep Ellum and walked in for a piercing with guest piercer Jenny Joe.The ladies doing amazing curated ear piercings have quite the gallery on Instagram. And Jenny did a great trinity piercing. She was friendly, professional and made it as painless as possible. Great and thorough aftercare sheet. The shop has unique merch in front so stop in and buy stuff even if you're not getting pierced or tattooed in the discreet/ private rooms behind the shop.Microblading and piercings don't really lend themselves to being in an open tattoo shop space so this location is serving a slightly different crowd than Elm Street tattoo shop.

I was so glad that I was able to be tattooed again by Carl today! As always, his work was above and beyond and he was able to give me exactly what I had wanted: a piece that represented myself, my husband, and our daughter. This was my first time at this location and I absolutely loved it because of the privacy. The staff is friendly and the vibe there is so great with the music and great conversation. Thank you again, Carl. I'll see you for the next one sometime down the road!

I haven't gotten a tattoo here (yet...it could happen) but I stop in EVERY time I'm in Deep Ellum. It's a favorite stop for purchasing custom knives (yes, we've got more than one) and really cool jewelry (yeah, that is also plural). I especially love the turquoise and silver pieces they seem to find! The people are always super friendly and helpful, not pushy. The place is always clean and has a great vibe. It's become one of my favorite stops in Dallas to browse. Always something new and interesting!!!!

The artist did not close my seam ring all the way and my skin healed in between the jewelry. If you couldnt change the jewelry, you shouldve told me. I went through a lot of pain for this, and I just wish someone more qualified could have helped me. When youre attached to a name like Elm Street you assume quality.

Been going to Carl for my tatoos for over 10 years now (6 tattoos). All I can say is that that his professionalism and respect for the images are top notch. He is well studied in and well steeped in the tradition of tattoos, specifically American and Japanese (the roots). Trust him to design something custom for you. That is his sweet spot. However, he'll take any idea (or lame internet reference) and make it bold and beautiful and it will stand the test of time. And if you're lucky, he may share his love of roots country and guitar playing with you.

I recently came in and had a garter tattoo done by the TERRIFIC Joe Haasch! Not only did he translate my vision of the perfect garter wonderfully, he also gave great customer service throughout both of my sessions. He was extremely personable and simply a great human being! His artistry is second to none and he is the BEST they have! The shop overall is amazing as well. It is clean, sterile, and everyone collectively is very nice. I have no doubt where I will go for my next tattoo! Awesome place!

He was super patient with me as we worked out the details of the design via email and he was willing to listen to my ideas while remaining true to his craft. My son's wolf tattoo is a badass one of a kind custom piece and I'm insanely jealous that he got new ink. � He's already talking about getting Carl to do a whole sleeve. Highly recommended! I had a pinup done by Carl and am absolutely in love with it! Prior to this I didn't have any serious work done so I was nervous reaching out to someone so experienced. Carl was absolutely amazing to work with on this. He was super easy to communicate and didn't have the aggressive stereotyped personality I was expecting. And Jenny did a great trinity piercing. She was friendly, professional and made it as painless as possible. Great and thorough aftercare sheet. The artist did not close my seam ring all the way and my skin healed in between the jewelry. If you couldnt change the jewelry, you shouldve told me. I went through a lot of pain for this, and I just wish someone more qualified could have helped me. When youre attached to a name like Elm Street you assume quality.

Been going to Carl for my tatoos for over 10 years now (6 tattoos). All I can say is that that his professionalism and respect for the images are top notch. He is well studied in and well steeped in the tradition of tattoos, specifically American and Japanese (the roots). Trust him to design something custom for you. That is his sweet spot. However, he'll take any idea (or lame internet reference) and make it bold and beautiful and it will stand the test of time. And if you're lucky, he may share his love of roots country and guitar playing with you.

I recently came in and had a garter tattoo done by the TERRIFIC Joe Haasch! Not only did he translate my vision of the perfect garter wonderfully, he also gave great customer service throughout both of my sessions. He was extremely personable and simply a great human being! His artistry is second to none and he is the BEST they have! The shop overall is amazing as well. It is clean, sterile, and everyone collectively is very nice. I have no doubt where I will go for my next tattoo! Awesome place!

I gave my son a tattoo for a graduation present and I'm blown away with Carl's work and his customer service. He was super patient with me as we worked out the details of the design via email and he was willing to listen to my ideas while remaining true to his craft. My son's wolf tattoo is a badass one of a kind custom piece and I'm insanely jealous that he got new ink. � He's already talking about getting Carl to do a whole sleeve. Highly recommended! It's a shame because my Budweiser can hermit crab passed recently and I was hoping to get a bud light one this return visit. Great customer service and a bunch of other cool stuff for sale.
