I’ve had MOSTLY positive experiences. I’ve been there on 3 occasions: to get my tongue pierced, a tattoo on my wrist, and the tattoo touched up. The piercing and intial tattoo were great. However, when I went to get it touched up, the original artist had been fired but another artist offered to do my touch up for free. He completely butchered it. The lines were originally very fine and the tattoo was very detailed. He was too heavy handed and used too big of a needle, so the lines are now too thick and muddled together. The details and flowers now look like a child drew them and you can see parts of the original tattoo underneath his tracing. $100 wasted. Read Less

I dont even want to give this place 1 star!! The guy acted like he was the best tattoo artist ever and he messed up mine and my husbands and his cousins..he sucks!! They were all small simple tattoos and he couldnt even do that...were visiting from out of town and all wanted to get tatted but never again will i!! Now we have to get ours fixed by our tattoo guy!! This is one of the best shops I've been to. Great artists, clean and organized. I have had a few hours done by Tony and he is definitely a great catch for me being as picky as I am. Definitely will be doing more and definitely recommend all artists, but I will stick with Tony for sure. He is for sure my artist from now on. Keep up the good work. I've always gone to tattoo nation for all my piercings, but I recently went for a tattoo and it was an amazing experience. The guys are fantastic and will make you laugh at ever turn. A few months ago I got my nose pierced there. My experience was awesome! My piercer was amazing. He talked me through all of the steps, gave me plenty of time to decided where I wanted the ring, and eased my fears (as I am afraid of needles). He also put up with all the noise and chatter of my friends as they excitedly watched me get my nose done. I also really liked the atmosphere. I paid $400 to get a cover up on my back. The guy did half the tattoo and we scheduled an appointment for me to come back and finish. I paid the full balance and scheduled to come back the next month. I show back up for my appointment and the other workers tell me that guy is gone and no longer works there!!!!! Followed by blank stares.. What didn't help the situation is that I drove 4 hours from Houston!! This apparently has happened to several people. The guy at the front tells me that he is too busy to finish my tattoo so I'm basically SOL. This facility has lost all credibility and this is extremely unprofessional! There is too much competition and other tattoo businesses that treat people right. Save your money and your time and go somewhere else!!! Read Less

I have had many tattoos done over the years that I have not been happy with in the end, except for one. I went to tattoo nation to get a piercing n while I was there, the dudes were super cool, so I talked about a tatt I been wanting that I been checking around to have done n I got quoted unbelievably reasonable. I went back n got it done, n it looked amazing! So I've been back into that shop numerous times n even had a cover up done, in color! That I was told by another shop, could only be done in black n gray due to size n color. Ppl look at it n never know what was originally there. I'm now a regular there at Tattoo Nation n I recommend anyone to go there n get their ink done perfectly, with being priced amazingly n done by men who r real n all about ur needs n not the $ they make off u. 5 stars! when i moved to corpus,i checked out several tattoo studios before choosing Tattoo Nation. Now i have seen a few reviews,the people thought the artist there were rude,or they didnt like their phone ediquite,or their piercing rejected...even belly buttons have the chance of rejection,and all though the artist were not the politest,they were far from the rudest i came across in other shops here in corpus,and Rene,the first artist i met there,and the first one to tat me,says the F word 3 times a sentence...but i wasnt there looking for a rated g tattoo studio,i was there to find artist i was comfortable with to continue my addiction. Well once you realize he isnt going off on you with all the swearing,you realize he is just very passionate about what he does...he talks 3 miles a minute,but once in his chair,you find out why,he has talent...but anyways,all the guys there do great work. Since i have been tatted by Gabe,and talking with Mike now about my elbow,and im not real big into the piercing,i did have Sketch do a dermal, and i have seen hundreds of piercings done while ive been in the chair or just stopped by to chat with the artist,they always leave very happy. And i have seen then get rude with customer,but every time,it was the customer causing it. If you saw some of the crazies these guys have to deal with,you might understand. So if something doesnt heal quite right,go see them,let them touch you up,the gaurantee their work. Instead of leaving neg reviews trying to mess with the flow. This place is a JOKE!! i got my belly button pierced and the guy did it crooked!! then i went back a month later because it was paniful and oozing and the piercer said it wasnt infected, then i went to another shop in cc to get another opinion and YEP IT WAS INFECTED!!! the people at tattoo nation are rude and i will never step foot in that place again. Got belly button pierced....healed up fine. It was a tad off center, which was ok...but when I changed out the ring that was put in there when they pierced it, I found out the holes are too far apart to wear any of the bar bells. I'm going to let it close & maybe get it done right in the future. All that pain for nothing!! Read Less
