This was the place for my very first nose piercing. I just walked out and I'm soooo satisfied with the end result! Everyone here is so welcoming and so sweet. I went in to get a little tattoo on my ankle for my very first tattoo. I had an appointment with Larissa, and she was so sweet. Everyone is very nice!! My friend and I went in to get a very simple, small, kind of matching tattoo. I walked in and the receptionist told me the deal and then he went on to show me all the artists' portfolios and to look at them and to pick my artist and to take my time, very kind. Then I scheduled my appointment which was the next day, with Pugs. I met him as I was making the appointment as he walked in and he is a very nice man. Really patient with you and listens to you and is flexible. I asked him to change the size of the tattoo about four times and not once did he fuss. He is very professional and casual. Wife and I traveled here to visit from Kentucky and we decided to get a tattoo for me and a piercing for her. We searched around for reviews and found this place as highly reviewed. The reviews were correct! First, it was the most polite shop I've been to (they offered us soft drinks, etc.). Jim Sweeney (spelling?) did my tattoo and he did a wonderful job for a great price. A guy named Ben did the piercing and he was extremely professional, almost to the point of being like a doctor doing surgery. I went there to get my hip piercings taken out and my first impression of Ben's room was that it was very busy, but clean. Ben was very nice, easy going, talk to you about the process and the importance of aftercare. Only carries top of the line jewelry for your body and stress the difference between cheap and good quality. Ben sterilized every in his little "machines" - very comfortable feeling! Because you really don't know the cleanliness of the shop until you are physically there. Ben always was washing his hands, again sterilizing everything, and just all around making you comfortable. The procedure itself was painful (NEVER GET DERMALS LADIES AND GENTS, JUST NEVER), but he did a very good job getting them out and avoided creating a bigger scar. Ben also gave me some water and a lollipop for being such a good client! LOL. Ben as also been piercing bodies since the 90's guys - very reassuring. He also takes his time which I appreciate, so prepare enough time out of you day to get whatever you are getting done. THANK YOU BEN (AGAIN), I will be coming back again and again!!!Please, do NOT listen to Sydney A. the sterilization machines are the same ones they use in dentist offices for oral surgery. I walked into this shop, not knowing what to expect. I recently moved here from Chicago, and many tattoo/piercing shops in the city were sort of dark and dirty. Forever Art was cleaner than any doctor's office I have ever seen. I wanted to get a piercing, and talked to a really knowledgeable man named Ben who really knew what he was doing. He made me feel comfortable, and explained all about internally threaded jewelery, sterilization and the healing process....I had both of my nipples pierced, and they healed beautifully! I have had several piercings, but never felt as comfortable as I did in this shop. It prompted me to come back after they were healed and get a new tattoo....and I am just in awe of the beautiful work they did....going back in tomorrow to cover one of my old pieces.....They have definitely earned my business and an A PLUS rating for the Lone Star State! A few months ago i had an accident at work that resulted in the loss of the jewelry for my relatively fresh inner conch piercing. So immediately after work i rushed to the nearest shop (my normal place is a good drive away) which happened to be forever art. I was desperate to get something in there before the hole closed up. Now, i knew within moments of walking in the shop that this guy was full of it. I mean really? He was trying to convince me that a cartilage piercing should be fully healed within a month. Seriously?! Any piercer worth their salt knows that even a lobe piercing isn't 'fully' healed in a month. I should have walked out the doors that instant but i stupidly thought jewelry's jewelry, humor him till i get my jewelry and then never see him again. So he took me back to his office/studio/whatever he asked me what gauge i was pierced at and what color i wanted on the glass color front (cause he said he only uses glass in cartilage). I told him 10g and green if you have it. We made idle chit chat while he cleaned/sterilized it. I remember when i initially got my conch pierced i was so freaked out about the crunch of cartilage, but it never crunched, in fact the whole affair was surprisingly painless. Getting my jewelry ~changed~ at forever art? That hurt! It hurt and there was most defiantly a crunch. When it happened i chalked it up to my hole starting to close up. I was wrong. Three months later i was back at my usual piercer to have the jewelry changed again. Keeping it clean with that color front had been driving me absolutely batty not to mention my pour ear had been down right pissy non-stop since the glass had arrived. I had her change it out for a high quality anatometal barbell(which my ear loves by the way). When they handed me the glass plug i mentioned how the glass made it look alot bigger then it was. He asked to have another look at it and the proceeded to tell me it was a 8G PLUG! That idiot at forever art DEAD stretched my 2 month old conch from 10g to 8g! No wonder it hurt so much! Do not let that man touch you with a needle, ever! For what it's worth i know nothing of the tattoo artists, they could be masters of the field but i will never step foot in that shop again.
