Not only is he one of the best artists around, he's the only person i have let ink me in almost 10 years because of his exemplary skill with the needles. Small or large, any style you choose, portraits or lettering... Joseph is the man. Black Point Tattoo is also one of the most meticulously clean shops I have ever been in to. Music selection is great and the other artist Luis, Adan and Israel are highly skilled and always friendly and helpful. I drive 2 hours each way when i get ink and I wouldn't go anywhere else. Cool place with great artists. I came in Tuesday and was able to get a appointment with Lucas the next day. He worked with me idea and my budget and the tattoo honestly turned out better than I could've ever expected. Joseph Bowen is an artist and a professional.My wife and I went to the San Antonio Tattoo Expo because she wanted to get some ink done. I persuaded her to go with Joseph because I had seen his work before and was impressed with his talent.Joseph was great to work with. He and my wife discussed what she wanted and he sketched out some ideas on paper. My wife, who has several tattoos, is always a wimp when the inking starts but Joseph was patient and understanding through the entire process.The tattoo turned out great, the lines are clean and the colors blend together perfectly. I came in with my Mom and Sister and we needed to commemorate surviving 2014. It literally tried to kill us. On multiple occasions. So much so that we could finally talk my mom into going under the needle (you have no idea). This would be my 4th and my sisters 3rd. We walked in and Davis counseled us for an hour solidifying what my mom wanted (my sister and I planned on just matching hers). Then he scheduled us for the next day. They might be small but he did them so detailed they look beautiful!! He made 3 different women very happy at the same time. That takes a certain genius.
