Chris Rodgers claims to be one of the top 3 piercers in Texas but he doesn't say by who because it is a lie. There are 33 certified members of the Association of Professional Piercers in Texas and he is not one of them. He also claims he is an award winning piercer because he won 1 award over 10 years ago at a tattoo convention. He does not do quality work and he is not a good piercer because he uses cheap, low quality surgical steel that costs $2 a piece from a tattoo supply shop in town. The aftercare he gives for piercings is an unsterile mix of sea salt and tea tree oil that he mixes himself. Oils should never be used on fresh piercings because is smothers the piercing. The APP recommends a sterile sea salt solution for piercing aftercare. Please do not believe him when he tells you how prestigious he is.

Though I only got my art done by Lola yesterday, and the bandage is still on, I think I'm in love with it already! Lola is sweet & kind and uses a light hand...I only winced once or twice, which isn't too shabby for a stomach/hip tat.What I was most impressed and grateful for was that my cowboy hat tat was in memorial of my husband's one year passing on July 1st, 2017, and Lola squeezed me in on 6/30/2018 so that I'd have it in time.The shop is immaculate, the folks are pleasant and very accommodating, and I plan to return to have work crafted on my side very soon. I highly recommend this shop and its gifted artists; one simply has to review photos! Go ahead, Black Moon is the right shop to choose.

Your shop has a great vibe about it. Comfortable and inviting. And your work is impeccable. My husband and I both got tattoos from you (Lola) and we're both planning to come back and get more. When I tell people my armband is from y'all, they always say that they've heard good things, particularly that y'all use the best, darkest ink. Personally, I enjoyed that you understood that I needed you to keep talking so I wouldn't think about the pain (which was minimal - except near my elbow). I would/will definitely go back and I would/have recommend(ed) your shop.

This shop is amazing. Lola has done two of my tattoos and I wish I wasn't moving away so she could do more. Shay and Lola are the epitome of professional, and every interaction I had with them was AWESOME. They're fun to talk to and have beautiful portfolios. I'm super happy with my work and Lola touched up my tattoo she did a few months ago for free. Lola is super responsive with planning tattoos and if you want a true fan to do your fan art (I got a HP tattoo) she's your girl. They have super high standards for themselves, their shop, and people they hire. And did I mention how clean their shop is?! You walk in and it's HOSPITAL clean. Good, honest tattooers and I would go back again and again if I could.

Amazing staff ...... Lola and Shay are very sweet people who love what they do and it shows in the attitudes , their art work and the way they treat their employees. The shop is SUPER, super CLEAN , not just the lobby but, EVERYsingle room and all the artist rooms are spotless, and they are constantly cleaning! Chris Rodgers is there now and he also loves what he does. and It shows in the way that he treats his customers as well , and his perfect placements and piercings to each and every person.

I love this shop! Lola, Shay, and Ziska are so welcoming and always make me feel comfortable. They are also very professional. Definitely the only place I'll go for my tattoos or piercings.

LOVE this shop! I've had 3 tattoos done by Lola and they have healed nicely. She's was really good at taking my ideas and drawing them out. I'm not the best when it comes to describing things but she definitely got where I was coming from. Its also really clean here, I've been to some shops that were actually kind of dirty. I live about an hour from the shop but I have no problem making the drive for awesome artwork and an amazing price. This is my go to shop!

I wanted to go smaller on my words but she told me after a couple years you will not be able to see it. Unlike some tattoo shops they wont tell you that and just do it. Plus side she was light handed compared to my first tattoo artist. She is awesome. Will be seeing her in the near future again. :)

LOVE this shop! I've had 3 tattoos done by Lola and they have healed nicely. She's was really good at taking my ideas and drawing them out. Fantastic place to get a tattoo.. I was beyond satisfied. Lola did a great job taking an image I drew and turning it into something amazing. I will going back soon

I wanted to go smaller on my words but she told me after a couple years you will not be able to see it. Unlike some tattoo shops they wont tell you that and just do it. Plus side she was light handed compared to my first tattoo artist. She is awesome. Will be seeing her in the near future again. :)

I had such an awesome experience at this shop! The shop is super clean and the staff were absolutely professional and friendly. Lola drew up the prefect piece that I wanted and was so sweet about me being a whimp at times! I am very pleased with the art work and experience from this shop! I would definitely recommend.

A friend of mine got her nose pierced here and while I was visiting her, it was time for some more needle play. She got her chest pierced and I got my nose pierced. Very clean shop and although I was acting like a baby, they did not treat me like one :-) lolIt's been six weeks, no infections, issues or complications.Woop!

This place was awesome ! Our first time getting tatted over here & it was an awesome experience . We were walk ins and immediately were helped even with all three artist busy! Lola tatted me & the hubby up and she was amazing and super friendly ! Definitely going back to her for my next one . Place is clean and has an upbeat awesome vibe .
