First and foremost the atmosphere is amazing. I was extremely comfortable when I walked in. The guy at the front desk (forgot his name), but he was very kind and informative. He tried to calm my girlfriends and I nerves because we both were nervous about our piercings. She was getting her tongue pierced and I wanted my septum pierced. We waited for the pierced to be available. Then we were taken to the back and there we met Michael. Michael was awesome! Went to get my ear cartilage pierced after reading good reviews on here. Mike (the owner) did not disappoint. He was able to accommodate me and my four friends to all get us pierced at the same time and together. He was very professional and fully explained what he was doing and made sure everything was clean and sanitized. He clearly knows what he's talking about and makes you feel super comfortable with what he is doing. This place is amazing!! They were very patient with me as I was a little hesitant on what exactly I wanted. My artist, brannon, was very pleasant and professional. He put my ideas beautifully to paper and then to skin. When I saw the finished piece, it brought tears to my eyes. The only downside I have to say is that I'm from South Carolina and can't visit back regularly. � The shop was very cozy, and I felt very safe here. Not the best work I've had done. Me and my lady got tat work done it was high priced for what we were getting. Hers came out pretty good. Mine needed a lot of touch up done but I can't ever get the artist who did it to give an appointment there is always a reason why they won't be in the shop. Needless to say I went to another shop and had it touched up and some things fixed and it looks great now. I don't think me or my wife will be getting work done here ever again. I knew years ago that I wanted a tattoo; however I could never make up my mind about what and where. It wasn't until a few months ago that I decided for good what I wanted and where (a heart behind my neck), and based on recommendation I went to Spirit House. It was the best decision I could have made. They were warm and friendly right from the moment I walked in and helped to ease the nerves of a very anxious person getting her first tattoo. We went last night, I got an old tatt recolored and she got her sunflower tattoo she's always wanted!! Eddie Dis an amazing job making my old tatt look new and even better!! 6/27/15 yesterday I went back in to have Michael assess my piercings for the second time in the past 3 months and both times I was told to put hydrogen peroxide on my piercing 3x a day for 10 days. Y'all. The second time I was like I need a second opinion. I went to get said second opinion and Michael must not have even LOOKED at my ear yesterday because the end of my daith was nearly encapsulated in flesh and had to be removed. I almost had to have it lanced to get it out. H...e clearly did not assess the situation properly or even look at it fully before telling me to put hydrogen peroxide on it. I'm never setting foot in the parking lot again much less allowing someone that careless to put a hole in my head. No hate here just telling y'all my honest experience. I'm posting pictures to my wall of what the piercing looked like yesterday when he said it was fine. ----------- Michael is amazing at what he does. I'm a huge wimp and I got my tragus pierced and it hurt for a split second but that's it. He's very knowledgeable and cares about his clients. My daughter in law got a daith piercing, after 4 months of being migraine free my 12 year old, who has suffered with migraines since being a toddler, decided she had nothing to lose. She also has been migraine free for 4 months now also. Loved the atmosphere and the friendly people so much that I went back last night for a special tattoo. We lost a nephew 2 years ago yesterday and it was very important to me that I get the tattoo of his actual signature that day. Cassandra made it happen. With compassion and a light hand and loving heart she made a horrible day just a little better. I now feel like I have a little more of him with me every second. May be silly to some but she got it. My family and I have all had things done at Spirit House. Each time was a great and comfortable experience. My mom and I both got the daith piercing to help with migraines. Michael was very professional and encouraging. He was extremely informative beforehand and very confident during the process, which made us confident. All of the tattoo artists are professional but also fun-loving. Cassandra did our family tattoo, and she was fabulous. Brought my 3 yr old in for a consultation to get her ears pierced. Mike, the owner wouldn't do it if it was traumatic for her. He approved and did it PAIN FREE AND SUPER CLEAN. Highly recommended for children from ages 5 to 10. Usually 3 is not recommended but he said she was very mature. No tears or fighting. She is SO HAPPY! This place is very clean and thorough. I absolutely love this place! Such a tranquil environment. Mike runs through the piercing process with you. Gives you instructions on how to care for your piercings. Absolutely the best place in the golden Triangle to get a piercing, he explains the whole process before, explains what he's going to do right before he does it, and takes as much time as needed to explain the aftercare of said piercing. I have been here many many times. When I have paid for an all day session, it felt like I was family. They bought me dinner, asked if I needed anything every few minutes. My artist is an amazing guy and since a ton of other screw ups have messed with my arm, he did a bang up job of salvaging it. I get compliments all the time. There has never really been an issue with my scheduling, real professional. The owner can be a little rough around the edges but I really like that he is there. I see people near passing out sometimes and he takes top priority in making sure they are ok and comfortable before going any further. All in all, I'm a customer for life. Was not impressed with the service at all. They do decent work, but they are extremely rude. I brought in a sketch to give an idea of what I wanted my tattoo to be and they laughed at how bad they thought it was, which was embarrassing and really squashed my self esteem since I'm an artist. I told him he could edit it a little to make it look better and 2 hours later he brought me a sketch that was completely different from what I'd brought and not really what I wanted. It was an hour before closing though and I didn't want to be a difficult customer so I just said it was fine. Big mistake. When he was tattooing other guys kept coming around and talking and laughing and I felt like they were laughing at me. They acted like I was a wuss when I only occasionally groaned slightly when he was doing a long line. When he finished and I saw it I was indifferent at best, which is how I know I shouldn't have gotten it. It's been 5 days and I just get sad every time I look at it. It's not bad, it's just not at all what I wanted. For all the money and hassle it's coat me, I'm deeply disappointed. I have been a loyal customer of the owner and piercer of this studio. I have spent a uncanny amount of money for body piercings and very loyal only to him. But unfortunately if you come in 30 mins before he stops piercing you will be "SOL" because he will cry about how many hours he has worked last week and tell you to get lost even if you have been loyal and use only him. I have to drive 45 minutes each way to get to his studio and he had pushed me off 3 times the week before. Finally, I as loyal customer said screw you and will continue my business elsewhere. You would hope that a simple facial jewelry change out would be done. But it was after 10pm so he said get lost. So f#ck that studio and you boss man/piercer. I hope your half a million dollar studio keeps losing your loyal customers because your a tired old Douche!!!! Read Less

Made me feel dumb for asking questions, and other employees would come in while he was prepping, talking shit on other people that were in the shop.
