About to get my shoulder tattoo finished by Nick. Loved it after my first session and know the final art is going to make it look more amazing. I've gotten many compliments on it and even had a friend telll me not to do anything more to it because she over it so much as is. Obviously finishing it is just going to make it even better. I just finished my third session of getting my first tattoo with Kelly and I cannot wait to see the finished project (which is going to take awhile, full back tat). I was referred to John Clark through a friend who gets his work from him. Needless to say, the black and grey, realistic lion he did on my forearm sleeve was PHENOMENAL. The stencil going on wasn’t even as flawless as the end result. He killed it. Now I get all my work done at Depiction. Clean shop. Professional. I started looking for this tattoo almost 20 years ago. Every place I went, no one could grasp my concept or they couldn't get the bull to look like anything more than a cartoon so I gave up. I recently decided to try it again. After meeting with other artists in the area and getting the same result, I got turned on to John. I went in for information to get a cover up. The shop itself is very private and relaxing. The staff there is very sweet and everyone makes u feel apart of a family. Its not your typical tattoo shop. Anyways, I got with Nick and I have to say, he was so professional and did an amazing job on my cover up! Ever since I had it done its been nothing but compliments and he did such an amzing job that people, nor I can tell its a cover up! My tattoo is beautiful and he did everything free handed. I was able to get in for a consultation the same day I called. This place is really clean, professional, and they have snacks and candy for customers.Jason Mims is the best!!!! He's kind, patient, and gave me something that completely blew my expectations out of the water. I was blown away by his Art! This was my first tattoo, and he gave me a lot of good advice, and pointers about exactly how certain tattoos fade as your skin changes! I was referred by a few friends so I was already expecting great things. Killer shop interior was the first impression. Love that they have private rooms in the event you are getting inked in a more revealing place. Tenley has a great personality even before I had physically been to the shop. Once I walked in I was greeted by her and another artist with a smile and hello. Some tattoo squads/shops/artists seem stand offish/not welcoming/all business but here they all are chill. Sam the one I was referred to, jumped right in to clarifying placement and her opinion with size and the art example I provided. Helps calm the nerves when they are personable. Amazing service and great results.They posted on Facebook that they had some time to take walk-ins and I was feeling spontaneous so I called ahead and dropped by an hour later. I came in without really knowing what I wanted and Sam helped me decide on a base design and I let her basically do what she wanted after she asked me about different designs and things I liked. She was completely patient with me and I'm glad I was open and trusted her, because the end design turned out great.It was my first big piece with color (all my other tattoos and fairly small and just black ink) and she made sure that I was comfortable and periodically checked with me if I was ok. The session lasted 3 hours and even though it went over closing time, she was happy to work on it. Seriously LOVE this shop!  I've had both John & Sam tattoo me, and they are both wonderful.  I love the fact that they aren't the typical "stand-offish, I'm better than you" tattooers.  They are kind, knowledgeable, patient, and their pricing is very reasonable.  Also, they are extremely clean!  A huge deal to me, as I am in the esthetics industry and I look for things like this.  Sam is super sweet, and will chat with you the entire time.  She is also really good about being honest (not rude) as to what she thinks is best for you regarding your piece.  I absolutely 100% appreciate that, as I don't want something on my body that she, as the artist, thinks would look bad in a few years.  Their front desk gal, Shelly, is also super awesome!  She was so good about getting back to me in a timely manner regarding my emails, and she is a joy to talk to while waiting to be called back.  I will definitely be getting more work done here, and I hand out their cards to anyone and everyone I can.  Quality work, quality people!  Thanks so much, guys! Well, after looking at tons of places in the Dallas/Fort Worth area to get a tattoo, I settled on Depiction. I was amazed at the level of quality in their online gallery and was really looking forward to getting a piece done while in town on business. Unfortunately, after several emails and a couple phone calls, no one ever got back to me. The piece I wanted was fairly simple and would not have taken much time, but no one could be bothered to help me schedule an appointment for consultation in the month I was in the Fort Worth area. This is a great place to go to get a tattoo! They set up an appointment and figure out what you want and all the little details needed for art to be made. Awesome place! The studio is spacious, clean and looks great.  All the staff are very nice. I have one tattoo by Sam and my wife has two by her as well. We are super happy with them. Too bad these guys are horrible at returning calls or emails, after various attempts at setting up appointments or even trying to get return emails, I finally gave up.These guys must be that good that they get to pick and choose who and when they work. The artists here are the most professional I've ever seen. I got a tattoo from Matt, who has won awards for his portraits and realism. I also got a tattoo designed by Sam. Both tattoos are beautiful, and I get compliments on them all the time. The shop has such a positive energy; it's obvious that everyone there loves what they do. It's a special feeling to be tattooed by someone who is excited about tattooing you. If you go to their web site and look at their portfolios, it's obvious that the quality of work is better than any other shop around. It was a good deal for what all I was able to get done!I like that this place was laid back with decent music playing at a good volume rather than a clique of "elitists" with crap attitudes staring you down, blaring barely comprehensible "death" metal or "mush mouth" rap.It felt like I was in a proper business rather than some dramatic teenage night club. (I'm only 36, pierced, & heavily tatted, so it's not like this is being seen through the eyes of an old fart or a newbie).And I'm happy with what I got tatted!Nice employees/artists, clean & welcoming inside, no "holier than thou" vibe, and I got what I had in mind.Many places upon calling, answer the phone: "Tattoos". I never understood that. If you are working someplace & are either too lazy to say the full name, too disgruntled, or too drugged up to do so, maybe you need to re-evaluate your lot in life.This place answered the phone without having to scream over loud background "noise" & with the full name of the place. The voice sounded interested in helping the client out. The answers were just that- informative ANSWERS rather than "yeah, uh-huh, I guess, yup, just come in if you want to know" etc...Give this place a try. Read Less
