I had been planning to get a tattoo for years. I just couldn't decide exactly want I wanted. A year or two ago, I was told about this amazing artist named Danielle Koerth in Aransas Pass. Like the true stalker I am, I found her on FB and was blown away by the detail and color of her work. I knew I wanted her hands on me. Then, I saw an amazing back piece on one of her clients, Tracey, that included a peacock, which only solidified the idea I had in my head of what I wanted. ...Going in, I was super nervous about the pain being increased because of my fibro, but once the process had begun, it really wasn't that bad. There were only a few moments that I had to really breathe through it, but I didn't cry like the wuss I thought I would be. I've been asked about the pain, and I'll just say this: The pain of fibro at times and the 8-week long hives I had were much worse than getting this. In fact, I would rather have a couple of two-hour sessions of tattooing than a day-long migraine. Just for comparison's sake. So, for those of you who want to get a tattoo, but are scared of the pain, it's not that bad!!! Don't let the fear stop you! Danielle was amazing! There was no doubt she knew what she was doing as she collaborated with me, calmed my nerves, and made me laugh. The lines are great; the color is phenomenal; and I really love her adaptation of the idea I originally sent her. I highly recommend her if you're looking for a quality tattoo. I know I'll be back.
