I was visiting a friend of mine. my first time in the usa and i knew for a long time i wanted a tattoo done. but just didnt know a good one in Holland, we found this shop and after i visited i was supose to be called back. They did not sadly i had to call a few more times to get my app. buttttt i had a tat set of a heart with wings and 2 doggie paws and this was in may, Now i sadly dont remember the name of the artist but i know he did a awesome job i love my tattoo best thing i ever did . the pain was not bad ive had worse and the 2 hours he spend on it il treasure my entire life. next time im close by will be a while though but i will be back for more thank you :D Read Less

Got a lame excuse why the artist couldn't keep appt, after texting more than once with no response. I guess he didn't want the work bc it's complicated or bc I'm gay and the artist was uncomfortable. He made no attempt, in texting, to reschedule or find another artist to take care of it. Guess I'll go to Austin or Dallas where they keep appointments to get my work done. Really sucky that y'all couldn't do it, totally unprofessional in how it was dealt with, and very disappointed bc y'all came highly recommended. Read Less

The female owner pierced both my nipples and went through the aftercare procedure with me. I had no swelling, no redness, very little discomfort and my piercings are almost pain free and itching like crazy, a sure sign they're healing well. Great job. No issues with this job whatsoever, and what I considered a bargain price. Read Less

I had been planning to get a tattoo for years. I just couldn't decide exactly want I wanted. A year or two ago, I was told about this amazing artist named Danielle Koerth in Aransas Pass. Like the true stalker I am, I found her on FB and was blown away by the detail and color of her work. I knew I wanted her hands on me. Then, I saw an amazing back piece on one of her clients, Tracey, that included a peacock, which only solidified the idea I had in my head of what I wanted. ...Going in, I was super nervous about the pain being increased because of my fibro, but once the process had begun, it really wasn't that bad. There were only a few moments that I had to really breathe through it, but I didn't cry like the wuss I thought I would be. I've been asked about the pain, and I'll just say this: The pain of fibro at times and the 8-week long hives I had were much worse than getting this. In fact, I would rather have a couple of two-hour sessions of tattooing than a day-long migraine. Just for comparison's sake. So, for those of you who want to get a tattoo, but are scared of the pain, it's not that bad!!! Don't let the fear stop you! Danielle was amazing! There was no doubt she knew what she was doing as she collaborated with me, calmed my nerves, and made me laugh. I've known Danielle Koerth since we were kids and she was the smartest kid in our entire school, needless to say the most gifted tattoo artist in a 100 mile radius. I never pegged her for a tattoo artist back in the day but it doesn't surprise me that she took this industry by storm and is absolutely amazing at what she does. The woman is booked out months in advance and worth the wait. People in Corpus need an artist like this. Even the best shops here in CC don't even compare to her capabilities. Nate is great too, he's worked on several of my family members and his work is amazing. I have never personally seen Rob's but I hear he is talented as well. This shop should be moved to Corpus Christi - it would absolutely boom! Kudos to the great artwork and pristine atmosphere. Oh by the way, there's another tattoo shop or two in the area. Please don't waste your time or your skin on these places. This one is the best hands down and that includes Corpus Christi. Read Less

This is the place to go if you want people with knowledge. There is 4 or 5 different people who work there and they all seem to have an intelligent answer for any question I had about my tattoo experience. that review by jesse looks like the only ad space bennie shaw could afford. while i agree the shop is under-rated, since they've got a veteran 20+ year tattoo in justin owens, rob got in that business back in the ninetys, it's sad the internet allows you unknowledgeable fools to spout off bs information about solid businesses. they do laser removal, portraits, and anything else that prick bennie couldn't wrap his brain around if he tried. lol. i've strayed from my point. if you want a solid tattoo with some knowledge behind it go to SOUTH TEXAS TATTOO. if you want a $20 hooked out name on tuesday. then maybe hit shaw. i'd also be very leary of taking advice on tattoos by someone who can't spell tattoo. just an observation.
