On Friday March 27th, 2015 my friend and I wanted to speak with an artist about getting some work done. We both have tattoos already so this wasn't our first circus. Upon doing some online research, for some reason, we opted for Screamin Mimi to be our first stop. When we arrived, a guy later identified from their website as "Filipino Chris" spoke to us at the counter and it was at this point things went to hell in a handbag. He was extremely rude and condescending from the first sentence that came out of his mouth. In my opinion, he acted like he couldn't believe we came there wanting work done. I mean, how dare us right?!? He acted as though it was some kind of secret tattoo society and we didn't know the secret knock. I guess I'm not cool enough to receive a tattoo from the one and only "Filipino Chris," the man, the elite. The work I wanted done was a complete redo of an existing tattoo that I've had for about 12 years. He acted like he was above it and better than my time, or even my money. Needless to say we went somewhere else and are both beyond satisfied with our tats and artist, so satisfied that I even have a custom piece in the process of being freehanded. One more session and it'll be finished! See my Yelp of the Electric Baboon for a complete review of my experience. In respect to the other artists who work at Screamin Mimi, I have never had any interaction with any of them so I'm not in a position to speak foul on their professional character. But as for "Filipino Chris," he unequivocally made my friend and I feel uncomfortable, uneasy, and unwelcome. Read Less
