I recently got tattooed in this shop by Kelly. I asked for something small in black ink. After healing, much of the ink has faded and I can now see incomplete lines. I have sleeves on both arms and a large back piece all of which have healed nicely and haven't faded. I'm very disappointed as this was the first shop I ever got a tattoo and have since traveled around and been tattooed by a lot of artist. There is no other people I will go to for tattoos and piercings. Kelly is the best tattooist I know. I go in with a glimmer of a plan and she makes it better than I dreamed. I went to this shop for a septum piercing, due to the high star ratings and reviews. This would be my first piercing, with that in mind I was a little ignorant to the proper process. Firstly the man piercing me, did not clamp my nose or take any measurements. Secondly and most importantly piercing directly through my cartilage far too high for a normal septum piercing. With the pain that I felt over the next few days and the massive uncomfortability of the piercing I went to a different location, for a second opinion. Immediately without a Second Glance the obviously more professional piercer advised that I remove the piercing and let it heal. I'm not sure if this is a new piercer or a common worker there however I do not recommend anybody go to this location as they do not seem to know what they are doing. Read Less

Friendly, funny, and helpful staff. Took my daughter here for a septum piercing and couldn't have been more pleased. It was clean front to back, and even more sanitary in the room it was done in. He explained their thorough sterilization process, and gave a very thorough rundown of the process all the way through care. Price was also a LOT less than I expected. My 5 year old daughter got her ears pierced by Tyler and he was amazing! My daughter does not do well with strangers yet he talked calmly to her the entire time and asked her lots of questions to get to know her. My friends and I went in for piercings at 8 o'clock on a Saturday night. There were 7 of us and the piercer had a big attitude and said he could pierce 2 of us because his ride would be there in 20 minutes. Really??? The other lady that worked in there offered him a ride home and he still wouldn't do it. I don't think I would've wanted him to pierce me anyway because he didn't look very clean. We went to another shop on canyon drive and they were AWESOME! Super friendly, clean, and wanted our business. I won't go back to the music box. Read Less

go to music box!I am 46-I only had my ears pierced & I never felt the need for any body mods until i saw a co-worker with an industrial in her ear (large barbell across the top of the ear) and i decided i wanted that too. wellll, that was less than a month ago. I am now the proud owner of the industrial, pierced nipples and a vertical cli_t hood piercing. TYLER was my piercer, he was grreat- professional friendly and informative (best of all when I was scared, he was not, he was very confident and un-nervous) I did the industrial & nipples on the same day and a week later had the cli_t hood done. Pain? from worst pain: 1)Nipples2)Industrial 3)Cli_t, (the cli_t pierce was just a quick tiny sting-getting my ears pierced as a kid hurt worse) I even rode my bike home without any pain. Everything is healing nicely, following the aftercare instructions. I did buy some H2Ocean Piercing After Spray at Music Box, but later went to Hot Topic to get a couple of bigger cans at a better price. BTW, the industrial is cool to look at, but the nipples and cli_t pierces, ? they serve a purpose, they REALLY serve a purpose. Everything I heard about the advantages of those pierces, I thought was hype, nope, nooo hype, be ready for sensations that are so good, they're scary & mind blowing as in "omg something big is about to happen.....aaah! when will it end?? ... will I still be alive?..... ahhh" Music Box is where I will always go, (I got my first tattoo on my 45th birthday over a year ago) The rest of the staff are all very nice and disarming, I was completely comfortable and felt extremely welcome. Good art, but WHAT A RIP OFF. They wanted $150 for a 2 1/2" x 2 1/2" black and white piece with minimal fill work. Gimme a break! And it's not like they're overcharging just to get their money's worth out of a small piece; I had three other people with me wanting the same thing-- we wanted to make sure they could make plenty and not waste their time on us. We even said so. Their prices are absurd. It's a shame, too, because the lady that runs the Music Box shop is really cool. I would love to give her more business, but dayum! Read Less
