I have gone elsewhere and had my eyebrows done and a few days ago I came to gold and had my eyeliner done. It was a great experience the artist really took the time to sit with me and explain every part of the process and what to expect and what not to, he spent more time doing this then the amount of time the procedure took. My experience with Moon was very good. He does explain in detail all the options you have to achieve the look you want, do be prepared for this could take up to an hour. I was initially shocked over the price but we are talking about permanence as well as a needle next to your eye, so if that's important to you remember you tend to get what you pay for. The procedure itself was rather quick and very tolerable once the numbing cream kicks in, which he will reapply as much or as often as you need. Moon is such a talented permanent makeup artist. Before I found him, I had thick, faded-to-greenish-blue, two decade old black eyeliner literally tattooed on my eyes. I received the upper eye liner and lash enhancement with Moon yesterday. Nothing from that experience was outside of my expectations. He was very clear and upfront, and took the time to educate me in detail about the procedure, and what to expect afterwards. I still have some swelling and slight bruising, but this is normal, to be expected, and the healing is coming along quite well. Moon is an exceptionally professional, intelligent and kind person. After reading previous reviews, and having my own experience with the procedure, I can offer some useful insight and advice if you are interested. Be forewarned, I tell it like it is. My advice is to read everything you can about the procedure, his website, his reviews, and view the pictures on his website. I didn't watch any YouTube videos but I read about the procedure, so had a pretty good idea before my appointment of what to expect. However, watching the videos is an excellent way to learn about this. Moon confirmed that information during the initial interview at the beginning of my appointment, so nothing he said was a surprise. I also advise you to make your appointment in advance...at least a week or two...and during that time, think about the procedure and be realistic about your expectations. Be real about the possibility that you may feel discomfort during and after, and accept that this is simply the case regardless of who does it for you. Finally, accept the responsibility...it is after all, your decision to have this procedure done. However, I will also point out that there are many inexperienced or inept technicians out there who will make a mess of it. It is my belief that Moon is not one of those unskilled technicians. He is highly skilled and detailed, and does not rush the procedure, which results in excellent work. Give yourself plenty of time, and don't have somewhere you have to be afterwards. Your best defense against being unhappy with your results is to educate yourself. Don't be a fool, and walk in without having done the research, and don't walk in without having questions. Moon acting professional until you pay the price after that, he treating you unprofessional....very disappointing to spent too much money for worthless work he has done. I went to Bella Skin Institute to re-do my eyeliner. About 6 weeks ago, I scheduled to do eyeliner top and bottom, Moon said pain free but the pain was horrible never had pain like that in my life, after went through all the pain, my eyeliner not bold enough and his price is way too much...he's not give you the right price until you schedule and he added up the prices. I met Moon over a year ago. I am from Chicago and new to Dallas and searched high and low for an expert eyebrow artist. His portfolio was really amazing so I chose him as my artist and I couldn't have made a wiser decision. I have been getting my eyebrows tattooed for 15 years. He is hands-down the best artist I have ever worked with. I am over the top picky and the type of client everyone hates to work with. If I had to work with me I would hate me too! I had bought a Groupon for this after seeing some recommendations for him for permanent eyeliner. I went in for appt and he throughly discussed how he applied the eyeliner and what my options were. I knew the Groupon was a basic line top or bottom but I wanted both done. He does a lash enhancement that I was extremely interested in. I had mine done for the first time 5 years ago. The lash enhancement was much more enhancing than just the line across my upper lid I had done 5 ...years ago. He was very knowledgeable and very through. I had to reschedule due to concern for a mole on my upper eyelid. After a much needed dermatologist appt I was cleared and scheduled my appt with moon. He is very easy to contact through text and responds immediately. He apples topical numbing and reapplys as needed. He takes his time.
