It's so sterile in her room and she explains everything while she is doing it. She's also very comforting, and makes sure you know how to take care of whatever you get. Looking forward to getting a matching tattoo with my friend during a trip to Dallas. My friend researched, communicated ideas, and paid $100 deposit for two small tattoos. We arrived for our appointment made over a week in advance on Saturday at 1 pm. We arrived at lunch next door around noon and had 1 margarita. Went in with a general idea of what I wanted, granted I didn't have the best picture in my head of exactly how I wanted it to look. After waiting for an hour (nbd if they're busy, I was a walk in, but he was taking his time, smoking cigarettes etc while I was waiting) the guy finally came out with a printed picture of the symbols I asked for. I had asked for a few specific symbols in a row. What he showed me wasn't at all what I had in my head, it seemed very clip-art-esque and I wanted more hand drawn and raw so I showed him a few more pictures and also asked if it could be significantly smaller so he went back to try again. Our ideas just weren't meshing up and he was not getting my vision. Each time it just looked like clip art. I mentioned that and he said "well it is, I'm not going to render a sketch for you." Which is fine. But he was extremely rude. You could tell he was really put out that I didn't like his original printed picture and every time he came back with a new one and I didn't like it he seemed angry with me. This is something I'm permanently putting on my body and I felt pressured into saying yes or he would be mad. Needless to say after the third time I figured we weren't getting anywhere and went somewhere else. I paid him a drawing fee that he demanded of his front desk clerk loudly as he stormed off. I've been in a total of four times and not once had a pleasant experience. None of these attempts ended in actual work being done, as the employees are very stuck up and picky. I've requested a realistic style tattoo in the past to which they said "no one here specializes in that style". On hand, I appreciate the honesty, but on the other- you don't want to try and help? Even suggest an alternative style? Tell me how we can make it work? Additionally I've been in for piercings twice and neither time could I come to an agreement with the piercer or workers on duty on where and what. The final time I tried to go in for a tattoo I was told the only artist available that day was out to lunch and they would call when he returned. Never received a call. Word of advice save yourself some time and call before you go, because their business hours are merely a suggestion. If their piercer decides that she is done taking clients an hour before closing then they have no problem turning you away. My cousin and I went wanting to get some piercings done however the piercer turned us away because she wasn’t taking anymore clients. This seemed odd to me as we had arrived 50 minutes before their posted closing time. Since my cousin wanted a new earring for her tragus we asked if we could look at their jewelry before we left. The girl behind the front desk said sure however she wasn’t able to answer any of our questions regarding the jewelry. She said that was the piercer’s domain and she is helping her last client and then is done for the day so we will just have to come back in 3 days when she is working again. Again this seemed odd that she didn’t even have time to come answer two questions. We didn’t feel like waiting days so we went to another parlor 15 minutes away and were able to get both our piercings plus new jewelry all before Cat Tattoo closed at 8pm. Read Less

I absolutely love this shop!! I have gotten both of my nostrils pierced here and just recently went to get my septum done. Brittany was the one who did my septum, and she was extremely friendly, informative, and professional through the whole experience, making sure I knew exactly what was happening and when and also checking in through the process to make sure I was still comfortable. While I have only been pierced here, I've had multiple family members get tattoos and all have also had great experiences with friendly and professional artists that not only do great work but constantly make sure they are on the same page with you so there are no miscommunications. Went to Cat recently with my best friend and we were both very pleased with our piercing experiences! My friend went in for a nose piercing and I went in for a cartilage piercing. Both of us are uneasy in regards to needles, but Brittany did a fantastic job of making us feel comfortable. She was communicative and walked us through the process, knowing that we were nervous. I found them on Instagram and checked out all of the artists work before going. My wife and I then made plans to walk in on the weekend to get quotes. I ended up getting a tattoo and Robert Hornback was my tattoo artist, the first artwork I checked out. He was the one the girl in the front suggested would be the best fit for what my wife and I were looking to do. I definitely liked his professionalism and you could tell he is passionate about his work. Super awesome tattoo experience start to finish. I contacted Zack through the Cat website and he responded back to me within 1 day. When I showed up for my appointment I was blown away by the level of thought and creativity in his drawings. He showed me several different sketches (also a bunch of great photos and materials he collected), and took time to explain the thought process behind the work which was super cool. At no point did he ever rush anything. He was meticulous with the placement of the tattoo, and with every step of the process. I first came to Cat's because my nose had been pierced originally with a hoop. Which apparently is a no-no, you're suppose to first have a stud then after you've had it in for awhile then you can change to a hoop. So, I explained to the lady at the front (not sure of her name, she is shorter, super pretty, and has light blue eyes with light brown medium length hair). She switched out the hoop and put in a stud, which by the way, was more painful than getting it pierced. This was only because my piercing hadn't healed enough yet and was very tender. She was SUPER knowledgeable about all the different facial jewelry and piercings which is why I came back to Cats when I had the stud in long enough to switch to a hoop. She obviously knew what she was doing and I trusted her. I left that stud in for about 7 1/2 months, she had recommended 9 months but what can I say, I am impatient lol!Fast forward to today, the same lady that originally helped me was working the front desk again today (a Saturday) and helped me choose a hoop. She wasn't acting as the piercer today though, it was a woman named Leah. I had questions about how big the hoop would look in my nose and she tried to answer my questions as much as possible but of course we wouldn't know for sure how it would look until she actually switched out my stud and put in the hoop. I decided to go ahead and get the hoop anyways. It looks great and I am 100% satisfied with the service! Leah and no name lady were great and super sweet. I'll definitely be coming back if I decide to get another tattoo or piercing because not only did they really know their stuff but also because neither of them made me feel stupid for asking questions. I cant say enough about this shop! The girl at the front counter is extremely nice, helpful, and knowledgeable. They have all of their jewelry in a gorgeous case right when you walk in. Once you get to the back, you get to see all of the artists at work and they have a comfortable couch to await your turn. I had to Yelp my way to this shop! I've been here twice within a month and both experiences were different. I pierced my conch with Lea/Lia and what I loved about her is her honestly. I originally wanted a daith or a rook and she looked at my ear and told me it probably wasn't a good idea. It probably would've healed badly and I don't exactly have the ear for it. I totally respect that from her! Second time I went was with Brittney, she's such a lovely human. She just has this friendly vibe and I wasn't planning on getting my nostril done,  but she somehow convinced me to! It was so quick and painless! Probably the least painful piece. Oh! I got my first tattoo here last year and my husband has gotten at least 4 here over the years. We were really pleased with the results and the customer service until today. While waiting to be seen, a couple of ladies came in, and were told from the beginning that there was at least an 1.5 hr wait time and that we were in front of them. One of them  then asked a ton of questions, continually whining about the wait time, and eventually she and her friend were seen before us. We were ALL walk-ins. We are not at all pleased by how this was handled because our time is just as valuable as anyone else's. It's our wedding anniversary and we were looking to commemorate it in a special way and this was disappointing, to say the least. We will take our business and referrals elsewhere. Read Less

I am late on posting this. Cat Tattoo was always my "go to" for any piercings. I had gotten 5 done here within the last 12-15 years. They USED to be good. I went recently to have an existing piercing reopened and charged $80 for it....just to fully reopen an already open and existing piercing. Then when I was checking out, I was asked if I wanted to tip the piercing artist right in front of them. That is extremely distasteful. I will not be returning for any new piercings. Brittany is very rude. Firstly, I waited 30 minutes after the store opened for her to show up then when she came in I still had to wait 15-20 minutes before she would come talk to me. The price for a small earring was ridiculously expensive. I said politely I might come back and wasn't sure if I wanted to pay more for a cartalage ear piercing than I did for my naval. She remarked that my naval piercing must not be swarovski crystal, which it is and I told her it was and she said no its not. I don't appreciate being argued with. Very poor customer service. I will definitely be getting this done somewhere else. Also, my friend was with me and wanted to get hers done and still wanted to after hearing pricing, but when I said I would have to think about it and maybe come back she blew my friend off too. I can not say enough good things about Cat Tattoo. I got a Daith piercing from Brittany and was blown away by the hygiene standards practiced here. Even when showing me jewelry she would not touch anything without gloves on. She was incredibly understanding when I got ill afterwards as well. This shop is spotless and they only carry surgical grade jewelry. I also just got a tattoo by Joby and again I can not say enough amazing things! My mom and I both had tragus piercings by Angel. We were walk-ins and he was able to see us immediately after we signed our paperwork and picked our jewelry.Piercings were $30 each and jewelry was $70 each ( 2 flat back titanium studs with Swarovski crystal).
