I had an appointment made last week with an artist here for 3 $20 tattoos (a special this place was running for the weekend before Christmas)to be done last night. I paid my $60 deposit. I had to read on fb that the artist was no longer associated with the shop. So I contacted the shop. They first insisted that the money I paid was to the artist and not the shop. When I gave my artist the cash for the appointment I saw him walk up to Ryan (the owner of the shop) and give him some of the money. After talking to Ryan, he agreed to keep the appointment (reluctantly), and then kept changing the price of the tattoo. I don't know about you, but I don't want a pissed off artist doing my tattoo... so I agreed to reschedule. Ryan asked if I would come to the shop Christmas night so he could "knock these tattoos out". It was his idea... not mine. Ryan was the most unprofessional person I've ever worked with. He behaved like an irritated child for having to come to work on Christmas... now remember this was his idea to do this tattoo tonight. I asked questions about placement and other things and he became more and more angry with me. Isn't it an artists job to consult on a tattoo before performing the job? I then asked about the cost and reminded him that he quoted me 3 or 4 different prices. He then called me a liar, and acted like he didn't know what I was talking about. Seriously? Ryan refused to give me any of my deposit back. There was NO WAY he was going to come anywhere near me with a needle. So here's the deal. Ryan (the shop owner) took my money. Did not provide service for the money given. Isn't that THEFT OF SERVICE? I told him he could keep the money and started to walk out. Ryan then called me names as I walked out of his shop. So PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE... think twice before dealing with Sacred Art Tattoo's on 6th St in Abilene. Save your money for a professional who cares about their customers. Be sure and get a real consultation before paying the artist any money. Even if it's just for three $20 tattoos. Merry Christmas. Read Less

last minute decision but i decided to get some work done today. originally had been putting off getting half a sleeve til after my vacation just because money and really didn't know who i wanted to do my tattoo and today i was offered a great deal and the stencil was perfect for what i have been looking into. i'm loving my tattoo, done by Jared. him and his crew were super cool and i was actually very nervous but i felt super comfortable as soon as i walked in. will definitely go back for more tattoos and i highly recommend Sacred Art. thanks Jared!(: Read Less

So I went this past Friday to get a tattoo done that was very very simple. I allready had the image I wanted it just needed a tiny alteration. I called and spoke to Jared and explained to him what I wanted and he said to come by the shop. My wife and I went by there and I showed whom I'm guessing was Jared the image which was a combination of the Batman and Wonder Woman symbols. All that was needed was a small black triangle at the bottom for the bottom of the bat symbol. Immediately he started going off about how he was going to have to draw the entire thing out (which was not true cause I had the image on my phone and could have just emailed it or texted it to him) and that meant he would have to be there all night. He asked if we could come back another time. I told him that I really wanted this done at that time cause I work crazy hours. He kinda huffed a little and then asked me where I wanted it and I told him on the side of my calf. He immediately told me it wouldn't look good there and that it NEEDED to go on the back of my leg. I said I wanted where I told him and he kinda rolled his eyes and said it wouldn't look good there and that his JOB was to make it look good. He then asked if I wanted anything other than what I asked for. I said "no this is what I want and I want it right here, it's a very simple tattoo." He just wasn't listening to me and kept going on about if we did this tattoo it would take all night. I then asked for a price and he said "$200 - $250". WHAT!!!! So I asked if that included the 50% off for Fathers Day specials I saw on this page and he said "No, that's just the owner and his wife." The name of the page is Sacred Art not the owner of sacred art's page. We immediately left and found a tattoo parlor that worked with what I wanted and where and took about an hour to do everything including added the small alteration to the picture. He told me it was way simple and that it's the kind of stuff you have an apprentice do and that he couldn't believe that I was done that way. And he did it for way less. Hubs and I went in for matching tattoos and we are beyond pleased. I was so pleased, I got another one while we were there. Will definitely be going back. My wife and I went for matching tattoos, and they turned out awesome. Ryan was very friendly, and easy to carry on a conversation with. I was a customer of Sacred Art under its previous ownership. When back in Abilene for the holidays, I brought my sister here to get a new tattoo. Ryan, the current owner and artist, did a thorough job, working with us to plan our pieces. He contacted us when we were able to move up our appointment. His work area and the shop were pristine. He drew up our designs, worked with us on placement, and tatooed quickly, with the perfect amount of counterpressure to minimize discomfort. Did not have a good interaction with the owner. Can't even remember his name. The artists and the guy at the front desk were actually quite helpful but when the guy at the front desk explained my situation to the owner he didn't even try to work with me or give me the time of day as he walked in angrily and went straight to the back. Not a very good customer service place. Only reason I could give it 2 stars was bc the guy at the desk tried very hard to make it work for me and the artists I spoke to were honest and personable. This shop is the best one around Abilene and the area, the guys are all so nice and caring and want to put their all into your tattoo , they will make sure their client is happy. Best tattoo shop I have ever been in!!!! All of the artists were so polite and the shop was so clean and open and I absolutely love how it was set up. Other shops I have been in the F word was about the only word in the artists vocabulary, it was dirty, the artists were rude and it was just an unpleasant place. This shop was a breath of fresh air!! I used Ian and he did awesome work and was so polite!! I got a tattoo for mine and my husbands first miscarriage, so the tattoo was very important to me. He did wonderful! He was VERY rude. Told me and my friend that what we wanted was not art so he wouldn't do it. I'm sorry, art is subjective. Customer satisfaction should be the most important. I wanted a small script tattoo and he was going to require me to get it way larger than I wanted. He talked down to us and was condescending. Read Less
