Erin at Monolith is super sweet and talented. She did a large-ish tattoo for my mom's first tattoo (for her 60th bday) and my mom is very pleased with the results. She's already thinking of her next one. Erin has also done a small line work tattoo for me that turned out very sharp and crisp. She's very talented and accommodating. She's great about answering all my questions even when I feel like they are silly. They also use this clear tape type stuff post tattoo that I feel like helps the tattoo heal and not scab as much as it ordinarily would. After a day you just peeps it off and clean as usual. It's awesome! Monolith is a very clean little shop. Parking can be a bit tricky - they have extra parking in the back, but as I'm stubborn I always insist on parking in the front. She free handed a few ideas and we discussed some options. She is flexible and got me in quickly. I'm happy with my tattoo experience with her. Super friendly and talented. Early this month I decided to get my first tattoo. A girlfriend brought me to Monolith. Her and her husband have gotten several here and they love it. I was very nervous and definitely wimpy about it. We walked into a really cool shop with some great artwork on every inch of the walls. I was introduced to Erin, my artist. Can I just say- coolest person ever! She laughed with us, was very patient, and made me feel 100% comfortable. She was so down to earth.  I felt like she had no judgment, super witty, and just someone you want to be friends with. She talked me through everything. I had an amazing experience.  It turned out PERFECT. I have had no problems at all. My husband (seven tattoos in, all from different shops) said it was one of the steadiest jobs he's ever seen. Went in for a semi-impromptu walk-in session to get two tiny designs: an arrow on my foot and an anchor on my ankle (I can't have visible tattoos in my line of school/work so ankle/feet were the only real options). I was worried that I would get a snide comment or something about how girlie/wimpy my tattoos would be, but Jack (I think that was his name) got to work right away and was very professional about it. He was done before I knew it and did exactly what I wanted. Awesome!The only thing I would complain about is that I got no aftercare instruction whatsoever. I've gone with people to get tattoos before and I have done research so I know how to care for a tattoo on my own, but I would have liked for them to explain to me how long to keep the bandage on for, what products to use on it, cleaning techniques, etc. etc. when it was over. No big, it's info you can easily find on Google.The parlor was very clean, with the typical cool/eclectic decor you'd expect. Their minimum was a reasonable amount, and again, loved the fact that they took me right away, no wait. Would definitely get something done there again. Read Less
