I never write reviews bc I'm lazy but I loved the service here! This was an impulse decision late one night when me and my girlfriend were feeling carefree and were in the area. The guy that did work on us was visiting from Philly and was very easy to vibe with. I believe his name was Tye. I normally like my work done from a female due to personal reasons but he was really good and had a soft touch to where I didn't even feel the needle and after the first day it didn't even hurt! I have a pretty good pain threshold and can tolerate most pain so this didn't hurt more than a stubbed toe. I went to a different place in downtown one night a week later to get another piercing, but this time on my ear (a forward helix) and that guy was a little rough with me. Every time I smile or grind my teeth it hurts my ear, and I do both of those things quite often. Maybe it was just due to where the piercing was on my ear. The only reason I gave this place a 4/5 was because the jewelry cost $40 and it wasn't really my style for $40. I'll def come back here to get my tragus in the future though. Read Less

Pat pierced three of my colleagues nose's and my girls *wink wink* and he was FANTASTIC! He free hand pierced all of us, so there were no uncomfortable clamps. My colleagues were somewhat nervous but he was able to calm them down. The piercings were fast, clean, and efficient. He was definitely knowledgeable in the field and just an all around great guy. I appreciated that once he pierced one of us, we all had to leave the room so he could sanitize again. Had an amazing experience here when I got my nose pierced by Pat. I did not have an appointment and it was a busy day but I only had to wait around an hour. Picking out the stud and filling out paperwork was simple and quick. I actually discovered Icon through Yelp and it has proven to be the most professional and clean piercing/ tattoo place in nashville. I walked in on a Friday afternoon without an appointment and they were so accommodating for myself who got a piercing and my friend who got a tattoo. Went in today for a piercing after accidentally making an appointment for the wrong weekend at a different place... they took me in an hour later and had no issue with fitting me in! Pat was my piercer and he was super nice and calming because this was my first "major" piercing other then my ear lobes! It was super clean and nice inside and i had a great experience. I Wish i could have gotten all of my piercings here and that I knew about this place sooner. I impulsively set up an appointment last Saturday and was surprised they were able to book me in.  I came in around 7:15ish and i could tell it was quite busy. Despite this, Darby greeted me immediately and after explaining i had an appointment for a piercing, they pulled out all of the jewelry i could choose from.  We talked while i waited and after filling out the forms i was ready to see Pat. Pat was Phenomenal, i was anxious before hand but he never once made me feel like i was in a rush. He answered all of the questions that I had before hand which really made me more comfortable and helped with the anxiety. He explained the process and made sure i was happy with its location. The piercing itself was a little painful but he made the rest is as easy as possible.  I was out of there in a second and super pleased with my new piercing!I did have to go back in two day's later because the bar that was used ended not being big enough to accommodate the swelling (not at all pat's fault, he had used a long bar, but my lip swole up more than expected!)  and they were able to take care of me quickly as well. Unfortunately i didn't get the guy's name but he switched out my jewelry immediately.I don't think I'll ever go anywhere else again, I'm so pleased with my experience. Awesome place for piercings. I drove over an hour to get my conch pierced and was not disappointed. I can't remember my piercer's name but he was hilarious, made the experience fast and easy. Gave tons of info on aftercare. As he was telling me aftercare info he started brushing his moustache nonchalantly. So funny. Previously I went to a local shop and she almost pierced my eardrum!! Wrong placement, she was shaking uncontrollably, kept dropping the jewelry.. i had to let it close up. I told the piercer at Icon this and he went out of his way to make me feel less stressed about getting it redone! Needless to say I have an awesome conch piercing with beautiful jewelry. I'm going back today to get my septum pierced and have him change the jewelry on another cartilage piercing. Worth the drive! Read Less

I came in about 2 weeks ago to get a small gold ring for my forward helix. I've had this piercing for roughly 8-10 years and it has been fully healed and healthy. Since I purchased the ring there ($80) I asked the piercer to put it in for me. The piercer started to put it in and couldn't close it properly so went to get another ring. I kept saying ouch! Because it felt like he was pulling really really hard almost ripping it. I felt sore when I left but thought nothing of it. Two weeks later I am having to go to another shop to get it removed and let my piercing heal and close up because it's too painful and I don't want to risk infection. I don't know if he didn't sterilize it properly or simply was just too rough but he's completely ruined my perfectly healed, decade old piercing. Changing the earring should not cause this outcome!!! I got my lobes pierced here and the staff was extremely courteous and understanding. I had some anxieties and they talked me through the whole process very professionally. I recently went back for a jewelry change and they gave me great information regarding the healing time of my piercing and which jewelry is the best to use until the piercing is fully healed. I got my nose pierced today and it was great. I was pretty nervous about it and my piercer guided me through it so perfectly. He explained every step during the process and it was wonderful. My sister and I are visiting Nashville and on a whim she decided to get a new piercing. We went in on Saturday night an hour before closing, but they were fully booked. They were really nice and set up an appointment for the next day. Her piercer, Stray Johnson, was extremely professional and explained everything. His sterile technique was on point and went out of his way to suggest another piercer in our home state that we could follow up with any questions. My nostril piercing tightened up after I cleaned my jewelry and I couldn't get the jewelry back in. I had to come in to get it tapered back open, not only did they do it for free using my own jewelry even though I didn't get the piercing at Icon but the piercer was super gentle. I had to get the same piercing tapered open after an MRI and my face was red for hours--not with Icon! Read Less

He was super professional, took his time (even with a bunch of people in the lobby), washed his hands in front of me and was very confident which made me feel at ease. He gave me clear instructions at what he was doing and afterwards made sure he explained proper cleaning technique - what to do and what not to do. He's at another shop but the shop itself was great to get tattooed at  Today Weston did my septum piercing and it was a fantastic, professional experience. Betty Ann pierced my nose yesterday and I'm so happy with it and her.She was lovely and did a great job telling me what to expect, talking me through the procedure, guiding my breaths and answering any questions. 5 stars for BettyAnn who pierced my nose on 12/13/15. I am beyond happy with the placement of my piercing, and the overall process of it. She was very professional and nice - answered every question I had and guided me through the piercing process down to when to breath in and out which was great! But most of all what made an impression on me was how sanitary Icon over all is, and also how sanitary BettyAnn was. She made sure to vigorously wash her hands use gloves and sanitized my nose. I got an Industrial piercing from BettyAnn almost 2 weeks ago and love it. She was very friendly and answered all of my questions. I was really nervous when I got there, and the whole staff made me feel at ease. The counter girl (can't remember her name) was so nice and very knowledgeable too. My whole experience was great. My piercing looks amazing, perfect placement, and has healed just fine. As for the shop, it was extremely clean and in a great location. I got my Industrial done here by Rachel in 2010. She pierced it to close to my head so there was too much pressure on it whenever I made a facial expression. I went to another shop (Icon in Murfreesboro) to see if they could do anything about it and they asked me if I'd done it myself because it was so shoddily done. Then I got my nose pierced here in 2010 by Betty Ann -- she told me that my jewelry was a size 18 gauge instead of a 20. So basically, when I went to go change my jewelry, I thought that my nose was an 18 gauge. So I ended up gauging my nose, which is not something I wanted to do. After a few months after my first nose piercing, Icon sold me what they called an 18 gauge glass nose retainer. I just went into the store yesterday and asked two 18 gauge glass nose retainers and they told me that they did not carry them and that they only had 20 gauge nose retainers. They assured me that they had NEVER carried them. So basically I got lied to on that sale as well.. Then I got microdermals in my back from here. They messed up the tops of them, making one domed and the other flat. I came back multiple times to ask them if they were sure that they were the correct ones and each time the girl at the counter would look at me pretentiously and assure me that they were. Then, I came back for the 3rd time when Betty Ann was there and she noticed that they weren't and changed one back to flat. I am never going to this store ever again. I don't know why I've put up with this for so long or wasted so much money on this shop. Read Less

I got a vch piercing done by BettyAnn and had nothing but problems with it. I was expecting her to show me exactly where she was planning to pierce it, but she didn't. It was pierced way too deep and the jewelry was too short. I had to buy longer jewelry because the jewelry she used was irritating me so much. When I e-mailed her asking about it, she didn't seem to care that I was having issues. I experienced a lot of burning, and later grew a bunch of hypergranulation tissue thanks to the huge amount of jewelry sitting under my hood. I visited an amazing piercer at TRX Tattoos & Piercing for advice, and in order to avoid further complications and disappointment, I opted to take it out and plan to get it repierced in the proper location by Stan at TRX soon. Last year I got my nose pierce at Lone Wolf last November, and it got infected and fell out when I was sleeping about 5 weeks later. I understand that this is not the piercers there's fault, but I had an overall better experience with icon this August. They used custom fit jewelry there, vs Lone Wolf's pre-fit, and I had no problems with the piercing whatsoever. It also was much less painful. I have gotten 2 tattoos at their location near Hillsborough Village. The first was small, but nice by an artist named Will. I went back to get another less than a year later and was told that he was no longer working there so an artist named Shannon, who was also wonderful, took care of me. It was late and we weren't able to finish the design, so she told me to come back in a few weeks. When I came back in to schedule an appointment with her, I was told SHE no longer worked there! I asked if she was still in Nashville and the girl at the front said she didn't know, but that another artist would be available in about an hour and would finish the tattoo at a reduced price. So I went to the coffee shop across the street where I was told that Shannon was just a few miles away at Queen of Hearts on Nolensville. I found her there, she was happy to finish the tattoo and we made an appointment for my ""Dad"" tattoo on the other side. Thumbs down for the dishonesty, Icon! Read Less
