Literally the worst tattoo I have ever gotten and it was a small cross with a little decoration. First of all, it is much bigger than I asked and I stressed the size before we got started. The top of the cross is crooked and one of the lines isn't even connected. He just added an additional line for no reason because it wasn't in the design that I approved. And because it's a tattoo, it's not like you can say stop because he has already started and you just have to hope for the best. You can tell the artist was high but they had already taken my money and I was afraid I wasn't going to get it back.The only reason why I came here is because of my brother which was a bad idea in itself. I'll stick with House of Ink (Big Jay is the best!) or Trilogy (my back-up). Read Less

Finding an artist who listens to your ideas and gives you the pros & cons and works with you to create the most amazing, beautiful piece of art is a rare find. We put off getting ink for a long time because we couldn't find that special artist that we just clicked with. Fate stepped in a few weeks ago and we walked into the Skull & Rose Tattoo shop. We were just passing time and really didn't expect to find a hidden gem by the name of Raven. She was helpful but not at all pushy, answered our questions and showed us her portfolios. We chatted for a while and decided to make an appointment for the next weekend. We are now the proud owners of 4 new gorgeous pieces of art. Me & my hubby got similar zodiac pieces and me & my oldest daughter got amazingly special similar heart/infinity pieces of art. "Great" seems like such an understatement. Great service, good prices! I had a friend in town and she wanted to get a small tattoo on her wrist. After a few minutes of talking the artist went to the back and sketched out a design. I liked the place so much I ended up asking for a tattoo also. The artist was happy to make revisions after he showed me the first draft. He was polite and professional. I love my little tattoo! My tattoo did NOT turn out good at all. Katt had me move so he could reach it differently I guess and it messed up the sizing of the drawing so he had to squeeze the rest of the tattoo in. I'm so sad about mine and hopefully someone can fix it if not atleast it's on my back so it's easily covered.Read Less

I love this place. They've always been respectful and polite, friendly even, when ever I've come in. And Ben Dees is amazing. I described what I wanted for my first professional tattoo, and when he sent me a pic of his drawing, it was as if he'd stepped right into my mind. I went there a few months ago on a whim with some friends of mine and saw Reggie while I was there. Ended up getting at tattoo that night after seeing his work. I'm currently in the process of a big cover up piece on my side that Reggie drew up for me. It's absolutely amazing. He has such a light hand and very comfortable environment. He's made this experience easy to get through. Looking to get a sleeve soon and won't go to anyone else! Everyone at the shop is pretty friendly and laid back. I went to the shop for an Elvis tattoo while I was visiting for my birthday in July. I easily made an appt. over the phone,paid a deposit online,and was in & out of the shop efficiently. Reggie was great and very friendly! I'm not a tattoo novice so I didn't need a lot of comforting or advice,so we just chatted and laughed while he was setting up & doing my ink. Went in at 8:30pm for small tattoo and the guy was sitting behind the desk on his phone totally uninterested. He said they were closing even though the hours say they are open till 10pm. They could of done a quick tattoo for easy cash but they turned away paying customers because he clearly didn't want to be there. Wouldn't recommend. Read Less

Went in for a finger tattoo in January and loved it. The artist told me because of the area I got the tattoo he would do a free touch up if I came back after it was healed up. Just went back today to get a touch up and wanted to get another new tattoo but was told that they don't do any free touch ups on finger, toes, face or neck. I had every intention of paying for another tattoo when I walked in but was extremely disappointed with the lack of customer service so I decided not to get anything done. I couldn't have asked for a better experience! I'm usually not one for taking chances, especially not on a tattoo parlor with only one prior review, but when I was greeted by the woman at the front desk I instantly felt comfortable. She was extremely personable and hands down one of the nicest people around, the same goes for my artist, Daniel. He scripted my tattoo more beautifully than I had even envisioned and the tattoo process itself was quick and easy. I wanted the tattoo higher than the original placement and he quickly fixed it to my liking. Very clean and comfortable environment. I'm visiting Memphis from Georgia and I can honestly say The Skull x Rose Tattoo Collective would and will definitely be worth another trip to the city. Absolutely wonderful!! Read Less
